View Full Version : brown rice / egg whites
OK this is very simple:
I dont have time to cook brown rice, so I get steamed brown rice from the Asian place next to my studio -
take a pan...spray some pam in it -
after the pan is heated up, throw in about 2 cups of the brown rice, after about 4 min, on top of the rice, pour 10 egg white/1 yolk, mix all together and cook.
makes about 40 grams of protien, and 80 grams of carbs -

Sounds great Vinnie. I'm with you about cooking the rice so i invested in a rice steamer. It is painless! Measure the same amount of rice and water and put it in the rice bowl. Put same amount of water in the bottom, put the cover on and plug it in. It shuts off automatically when done, Foolproof!
Makes 2 cups of cooked rice at a time

Hey, this is where it's at. Wake up in the morning and boil that bad boy for about 10 mintues...brown rice for the whole day. When I was growing up and when times were hard, which was about everyday, rice and eggs is what I ate. And it's filing as well :)

No doubt bro - I throw some soy sauce in the mix and you've got yourself some chinese fried rice.
Not really, but it's nice to pretend!
