So, heres the deal. I was supposed to start off playing college football my freshman year, but I turned it down, Reason being because mainly I couldnt get any good help with school costs. Now, its a different story, and next spring Im getting back out on the gridiron again! Good, thing ive still been training heh! So

Having till next fall, over a year I think Im going to continue my same training routine since I am getting gains and stronger as well. Then of course I need to cut up real nice and work on Speed and Agility, But I figure the kinda workout we do here in Bodybuilding should still suite that of football. Ive got a good buddy of mine, High school team mate that is actually playing right now who says I shouldnt change anything with the gains ive made. At least till Cutting time, thats where the running drills etc would come in.

Sounds like a plan. I'd definatly keep up on your running as well as the lifting.

Good luck!

Heavy olympic lifting, daily plyometrics, and a powerlifting-style weight training routine are the best things you could do for football. I did bodybuilding routines during my freshman year, but this summer I switched to a combo of olympic lifting and powerlifting and my performance has just gone through the roof. The plyometrics are huge, your team will probably or should be doing them almost daily. They will help with your speed and agility like nothing else.

O ya, deff wouldnt rule out the Plyo's. Im straight when it comes time to train for all that. Ive been around the block when it comes to football.

I would keep doing all the running!! I would also do sprints to gain speed. I would also keep weightlifting. I would focus more on heavy weight light reps.
