asked in another thread, but no one has checked it in days..

basically im just wondering whether to have storm both pre workout and post workout, would there be a big difference ? cuz I usually took it half hour before I trained, would like some opinions...?

I'm the type who likes creatine both pre and post... That said, in my opinion, two doses aren't really necessary. As long as you are topping off your creatine stores at some point in relation to your training, be it pre or post workout, you should be fine. Peace, G

Depends on if you're using an pre-workout supps, if you are, then you'd want to most likely take Storm post-workout. I use Pump pre and like Jeff... Nitro G and Storm post-workout.

Bare minimum, you can use Storm just 1x. You can also do it twice, pre and post.

i am taking shock/storm right now. i was wondering f you take your storm before and after or just after? i thought about sipping on some during the workout then taking a full scoop after. whats your guys input thanks

I just take one serving post-workout, I honestly didn't notice a difference taking one pre-workout and one post-workout.

There really are a load of threads on this, but ok...I take both too..shock therapy with pump about 30 min before you train is perfect...I sometimes drink shock therapy while I am training. Storm and nitro are great after you train..right after...than wait about 30min and drink down your post workout shake with oats cause you need the nutrients and carbs after you train...you have that 45min metabolic window to stick to..replenish glyocgen, refuel the body for energy expended during lifting/intense cardio sessions.

In other words, the enzymes that replenish muscle carbs are at their highest levels at this time. Plus, insulin, which rebuilds protein stores, is at peak levels. So eating a carb-and-protein mix at this point will maintain muscle, replenish glycogen stores and reduce the amount of fat your body stores. Even a sport drink or a piece fruit are a good idea, if you don’t have something more complex available. (These calories are needed to recover, so they are less likely to be stored as excess fat.)

This is super important to be consistent with along with all the great supps Universal has to offer.

I have taken it post in the past with good effects, I have tried it before and after with good effects, right now i drink it during.
try it how you normally do creatines, and do what works for you,

As a standalone, I would take Storm pre and post. But if you are stacking it with ST or M-Stak, I would just take one serving post workout. Or, you could put two scoops in a shaker and drink it during, its all up to you. You just need to experiment and most importantly let us know if/what you find most effective.

Ive been on SHOCK THERAPY/STORM for jus over a week. Im still not sure bout SHOCK, but im lovin the STORM. In my opinion its jus as good pre workout. At the moment im taking SHOCK 30mins pre, then sippin on STORM as soon as i start. Then STORM again straight after the iron hits the rack. STORM is amazing value for 80 servings! Tho i had to do a double take when i read BIG JAWN's 3 scoop post workout suggestion, SCHIZZLE!!!, Whatever works best for you, these guys know there stuff.

ps - Tho i have SHOCK and STORM in grape splash, they both taste completly different, STORM is nice and sweet, SHOCK is bitter and sour, is this the deal, or did i jus get an odd batch? Tho personally if it tasted the same as Osama's flip--flops i'd still chug it if it gave results.

Hey J, I actually take Storm along with BCAA's during my workout. Based on your preference you can use it before, during or after. The reason why I use it during is that I have a Shock Therapy shake prior and then afterwards pwo, I have a Torrent shake-- this way I take care of pre-, during, and post-workout nutrition.

I mix half a measure of STORM with SHOCK THERAPY pre-workout, jus to make the SHOCK taste better. I then mix STORM with EAA's, HMB, ARGININE ALPHA KETOGLUTARATE and DEXTROSE for my workout drink, then TORRENT post. Love STORM and its near never ending tub of goodness!

*Idea for making SHOCK taste better. Get some DEXTROSE powder and mix those sweet sweet carbs with that bitter bitter SHOCK*

Nice combo. Either before or after you lift bro. Up to you. You should take it on off days as well. No need to cycle.

STORM'S THE NUTS!

Love it, had 3 weeks off it and jus recieved my second tub yesterday. Thought Grape splash was nice, well Fruit punch is even better, real nice flavour. Im using it as both a pre and post workout supp due to financial constraints this month and the high cost over here. Tho im very content as STORM is the best product ive ever used.

5g of creatine is enough. In fact, studies show you only need 2-3 daily to maintain your creatine stores.

I just do Shock pre and Storm post. Pretty standard approach. That or exchange Pump for Shock and keep Storm post.

It is a post-workout supplement. They just want to offer you something extra in saying that you can take this before as well as after. It has 5 grams of creatine in it, some of the larger guys can take in more than that in a day, so they double dose. I think they put it on their so people know they can take it more than once in any given day.

Taking Storm as strictly a post-workout supplement would work just fine. Like Bear said, I would look into Shock Therapy in addition to Storm to really take your workouts to another level. Both are affordable and effective, and both grape flavors are great. Just my input.

Is it really necessary to take before and after working out? Maybe, maybe not. But if you are not taking any other creatine supplements pre-workout, then why not take storm before and after? It's not very expensive, and if it is recommended, why not just follow the directions?

If you take Pump pre-w.o., there is no need for Storm pre-w.o. as well. Pump and Storm is a solid combo, I enjoyed that a for quite a while before switching to Torrent.

If I'm taking storm alone I just follow the directions and take 1 scoop pre-workout and then 1 scoop post-workout. Right now I'm taking both Storm and Shock Therapy. In that case I take 1 scoop Shock pre-workout and 1 scoop Storm post-workout. As for why, the container told me to....haha.

Isn't the reason why you split ST before the workout and Storm after because both contain creatine, and you just don't need the double-dose of creatine (ST and Storm) at the same time? This way the creatine is more easily utilized and absorbed in muscle tissue, right?

That's the way I understand it bro. I've heard of people taking both Shock and Storm pre-workout and then an additional serving of Storm post-workout. Either way I think it's a bit too much creatine. I mean, your body only absorbs what, like 5-10 grams?

I'm really not sure how it works. I know it is typically recommended not to take more than 5g at one time, but the precise amount probably varies from person to person depending on a number of factors. And it makes me wonder how fast the turnaround is when the body can process more creatine efficiently.

That's a good question. I just remember a few years back taking just good old fashioned mono. That's when I used to think "loading" was essential. My body had a few different ways of telling me that was too much...haha. If I was you bro, I would just stick to what your doing. I've heard of many different people taking creatine at 5-10 grams a day for 10 or 15 years and it's kept it's effectiveness.

I think it is best to take it every day (1 serving on off days) just to keep the body's creatine levels consistently high.

I am currently on the storm, ST cycle and I take 1 scoop of both in 16oz of gatorade before workout. I know the tub on storm says to take 1 after but I dont really have to do i? I mean like norrim said, isnt it overkill?

well, studies show that you can absorb much more nutrients (including creatine) post w/o... so it's not bad to have it pre w/o, but make sure you save a scoop for post w/o

Geez, I dont know how you guys stay out of the bathroom long enough to workout. That's why I only take storm postwo :P

What do ya'll think about Storm post cardio (on cardio only days)? I do it, if for no other reason than to keep creatine levels up.

i lot of people frown upon it, but i like the cycle the stufff. first few weeks morning, pre/post and then before bed, thats 20 g's of creatine. some guys go up to 40 man. id say just mess around with it and see what happens. everyone is different, and some peoples wrong way is another persons right way, but if your running creatine(which is now a staple in my supps) i say alwayss before and after workouts....if ya comment back ill explain further

It can be taken post workout to replace your stores since it is absorbed like a damn water into a sponge post workout. Off days is just to keep the levels up a bit but of course not totally necessary.

yeah you can take it pre/post. IMO the better bet is to take Storm durring and then take Torrent post. I actually do that my self.

Just use Storm during your workout. That is how I did it and saw good results from it. I would use Storm and Nitro G together in my gallon jug half way through my workout.

good call bro doesnt sound like a bad idea... yeah this stack was expensive but I figured right before summer try to through on some lean weight then maybe go on a good cut... my dad just started flew.... doing rehab for a torn miniscus... will keep you guys posted on his recovery... hes not a lifter just an everyday guy so we will see

I liked pump and then my body got acustomed to it so I switched it for storm... I think i react better to powders than pills when it comes to that

I can tell you what works for me. The rest is up to you:

Protein in the morning. Storm as pre-workout. Torrent as a workout. Protein in the evening. I take the pak & flex too.

I do this to keep a balance of proteins & electrolytes. Do this & eat clean, quality growth is the result.

what im taking right now is pak in the morning, whey in the later morning, one scopp eaa stack during WO, one scoop eaa stack, storm, and whey PWO in grade pedialyte. good shit or change it a bit. advise por favor

One serving should be fine. If you're looking for some extra nitric oxide boosting potential, you can always do a second serving pre-workout.

I tend to take it the same time as on "workout" days...

but anytime as long as an empty stomach is good. As mentioned, 30 min before a meal is fine.

I like storm with my cheat meals along with a few extra scoops of creatine monohydrate
