What is the Animal Barbell Club?
The "ABC" represents the basics of our community, a brick in the wall known as Animal. It stands for a gathering of those dedicated to the iron life, Animal style. This sub-section will be dedicated for all chapters of the Animal family. As a member of the F O R V M, if you wanna put together your own ABC, then first post an appropriate thread in the Livin’ section. If you get enough interest and feel you can coordinate the entire event, bring it to my attention. If everything looks solid, I'll add it here, to The Board.
NJ Chapter
The NJ chapter is coming soon. Corporate will organize and support events in Jersey (and possibly elsewhere)--as lifting sessions, meet 'n greets, or even full-blown training seminars. Events and details coming soon.
Your Chapter
Organizing one for your city? Your state? Your region? Wanna do one in your country? Be our guest. The Animal mindset spans the world.
What You Gotta Do
Animal is a meeting place for all those with like minds. We'll offer the support, but your event will only go as far as your desire. The ball is in your court. The event will need a point person. This person will act as the go-to-guy for the chapter, the glue between the event and Corporate. This individual should be a respected member of this place. So start a thread in Livin' (I'll pin it), get enough interest, get the details in order, and then contact me. I'll assist in any way I can to get your even up and running.
Some of the specific things you'll be responsible for...
- Finding a suitable gym and making all the arrangements
- Establishing a date and time
- Provide pics of the event to Corproate
- Each member will need to wear an Animal logo shirt to promote solidarity
- Post your event details in the calendar, "24/7/365"
What Corporate Will Do
What Corporate will do is provide an Animal Banner for each chapter. At the event, this banner should be autographed by each member of the F O R V M and returned to Corporate. Corporate will then find a suitable place to honor each banner from each chapter in a public way. Each chapter might be publicized in others ways as well. Details are in the works.
The Goods
Each confirmed chapter will be sent the goods--such as AOMs, posters, stickers, in advance of the event. This will be for personal use and for sharing. For those members involved in successful events, there will be cool incentives as well, such as a limited, customized ABC t-shirt and other Animal Gear. Maybe the biggest events will draw extra attention... As we are just in the process of establishing the criteria for the Animal Barbell Club, feel free to PM me with any ideas you may have.
