Ok boys, I'm seeing some of the other chapters get off and running already. Lets see if we can't make some magic happen. I don't have a date yet, but I am open to some input about location. I'd like to see something happen closer to Atlanta this time. I know a few of you said that would be good, and there are others who live farther away. Plus, I have a few guys in mind that I'm gonna recruit, but it'd be easier to do if they didn't have to drive 45 mins to get to their first session.

I've already suggested Bodyplex on Buford Highway in Atlanta. There is also an LA Fitness nearby (I hate that place, but I'd tolerate it if we all went). Gimme some suggestions and I'll see if I can accomodate as many as I can.

This guy put on a show today, fellas. Deadlifts and military presses. He does the presses old school with a flat bench, he just cleans the weight up into position before pressing it, that's badass.

Take a look around at some of the other ABC events, what do you see? More people, solidarity, more pics, etc.

Our first "session" at that Gold's was a swing-and-a-miss. Good intentions, but poorly executed. Our last session seemed good at the time. We trained hard, but I'd call it a foul ball. The following may sound like a lecture, but I'm just making my thoughts known, so don't take offense.

First off, I was deceived. I thought we had recruited solid members that would contribute to our forvm. Perhaps it's that final exams and the holidays are occupying our schedules, but so far I don't see certain people posting on the boards. I hate to think people were just in it for the free supplements. Also, I know that I stressed that everyone wear Animal gear or a black shirt so we could show our solidarity. NOT a black shirt with another supplement company's logo!

I don't mean to sound ominous, but in my mind WE have two strikes. I've been at both sessions and I know we got some bad ass animals, so I want to keep this thing going and growing. It can be a very good thing. But we have to work for it.

Next session is coming in January. I know some of us got our yellow iconic shirts. WEAR THEM. If you don't have one, WEAR A BLACK ANIMAL SHIRT OR A BLACK T SHIRT. We are a group and should carry ourselves as such. Universal is running a promo in the shop that lets you get a black animal tee for $11. Take advantage of it and buy one. It's a small gesture. (I think it should be a requirement if you want any of the free samples. But I won't make that decision without your input.)

We have roughly a month before we meet again, lets recruit some Animals. People who will bust their asses in the gym with us and who will contribute to these boards. No freeloaders. If you can't vouch for them personally, think twice about putting them on. Universal is rewarding us for training together, do you really want a "freeloader" taking YOUR supplements. I didn't think so. Keep it in the family.

Look at all that Universal has done for us. They create this forvm to give us free conversational access to the pros....our idols and inspirations. They send us a shit load of free supps and T shirts. All they ask is that we train hard, and contribute to the forvm. It's not hard to wear a black shirt and post a tip or ask for advice. My point is, they are giving us a lot and asking for very little.

I for one am excited about the next time we meet. Bodyplex has welcomed us with open arms and is eager to have us back. I have since joined their gym and there a lot of big dudes there who know their shit. We can learn from them and at the same time, direct them to the forvm.

Again, I don't intend this to be a negative post. Don't take it that way. Instead look at it as the "rules of engagement". We are going to war in the gym in January, lets all be on the same team and kick some serious iron ass.

Also.....SERIOUSLY look into making it to Columbus for the Arnold Classic the end of February. I've been there the last two years. That shit is crazy. Book your plane ticket now boys. Fellas, the ABC is a great opportunity. Let's support Reacher and help him make a successful event. Keep in mind that many people will be seeing the pics from your event and you should want to represent yourselves as best as you can. This is a movement and every event contributes to making the movement successful. We need to gain momentum and build upon it.

It sounds like you have a motivated group, you all just need to get on the same page and represent Animal and Georgia.

haha, never meant it to be a punch in the chest. And the "freeloader" comment wasn't directed at you or anyone in particular, just wanted to make a point that we want to recruit solid members. I think everyone that has shown up in both sessions so far are excellent members of our Pak. I personally had a great time training with you and hope you continue to support us. I was speaking more to how we represent ourselves and respect each other and Universal.

I think that group goals (like the 300 club) are a great way to add another dimension to our sessions. Also, in talking with some of the other chapter coordinators, we think that appointing different officers/assigning certain tasks will help everyone feel more involved. The first suggestion is that we appoint an official recruiter. This will be someone who's main focus is spreading the word about our chapter, finding new members, and directing them via PMs once they are on the Forvm.

So I need someone to step up. If you attend a college and have access to a school gym or any other area that is highly populated with potential Animals, this might be an easier task for you. If you work at a place where there is a lot of bodybuilding interest. These aren't requirements, just suggestions. And it's not to say that once an officer is appointed, no one else can recruit. This is just so that we can share responsibility and grow as a group.

As other officers/positions are thought of, we'll decide on them then....but for now, who wants to be our recruiter?

Let's celebrate the man in our own miniscule way by leaving it all on the gym floor. Just got the OK from the manager at Bodyplex. They'll be open and expecting us. Again, they are waiving the fee. Since last time, I've learned of two buffets very close by, and a variety of other choices as well.

It's a Monday, so for me....that means legs. Bring your own puke bucket. Embrace the pain.

Lets start rallying the troops. I want this one to be bigger and better, and each successive session to surpass the last. Get people signed up, spread the word, spread the sickness. We're gonna bring it!

(If this day poses a major conflict, speak up, and if the majority of us need to change it, that's what we'll do. I'm gonna make this date official by Thursday, January 3rd at 9pm. So if you need it changed, let me know by then. I want to give the U enough notice to send us our "care package")

"Incredible" is an understatement. The moment that it is over, I always start thinking about the next year and how far away it is. It's funny you mentioned the airlines, I just got my tickets also. Its not a bad price at all. Add $10 per day to get into the expo and some cash for a hotel....well worth it. Definitely bring your Animal shirts, we gonna take over that place.

These are the pics from Monday night's training session. Everyone really busted their tails and hit some personal bests on the leg press and squats. I think we had the attention of a lot of the guys in the gym. I spoke two dudes in the locker room afterwards and I think we'll have a few more guys join us next time.

Hell yeah, bro. The leg press got "super-fuckin heavy"! But I'm more proud of squatting 405 for 6 full reps, a record for me.

I'm thinking the next session will be sometime after the Arnold (which is the end of Feb/beginning of March). I love Bodyplex and they'll welcome us back...but if anyone has any other ideas for a change of venue, speak up and lets discuss it.

i dont know if u guys know about Discover Mills mall. its right in front of the mall
its a LIFETIME Fitness gym
brand new, all top notch equipment, great machines.
i dont know if they will let us in with no fee, but we should give it a try.
altho i think u guys live far away from it.
