View Full Version : Animal "out of date"?
Yo, so I went in to my local Max Muscle, to see if they had any Animal Pump in, and the guy gave me this huge lecture on how Animal's products haven't adapted to the times and that the ingredients aren't high enough. WTF? Then he told me to get on some N-Gorge shit. What do you guys think of this?Fact or Fiction?
Fact or Fiction...more like bullshit!! you tell that fucker to stick that N-Gorge up his ass..and see if he gets a pump outta dat!! Ive been using pump for a while and i think it great. I use Nitro G and Lava postworkout..cant beat it!
Like everything in this world there are many diverse opionions and beliefs and we should respect that everyone in entitled to their own opionion. some just don't have the ability, desire, or clarity to seek the factual truth and instead are lead around by articles in mags and what the local meathead they worship has to say.
I say let them revel in their ignorance and hope that one day they will withdraw their head outta their ass and do some solid research so they have a clue what they are talking about.

That is what I hate about going to nutrition stores. Don't forget, these people are salesmen, they are usually paid a royalty for every product they sell. Some of the time they will try to convince you to buy one product over another because they will make more money off that product, or they have to get rid of a certain quantity in a certain time frame. Come to your own conclusion about products, not somebody elses.

There's a difference between "old school" and "outdated". A product like Animal Pak is old school, but it's certainly not outdated--it has stood the test of time, and proven itself over and over again in the trenches. That's where I'd put my confidence behind--something with a long track record. That said, doesn't mean products can't evolve and improve. That's why some of the products in the Animal line are going to get a facelift in the near future.
N-Gorge? What's that??
Pump gave me and still gives me the best results ever with a nutritional supplement.

FACT: Universal's Animal line has not changed because the product is tried and true...why fuck with perfection?????? all these other companies that keep trying to blow smoke up your ass about how their supplements are better than ours, ask for a history...you can get a tried and true history here....these products are STAPLES in the bodybuilding/powerlifting circuits.
we all here know them, and love them. ever since i first started lifting, Universal's Animal line has been in my lifting regiment.
their products will never change, and SHOULD never change. and i praise them for staying true to their customers and brothers in iron.
Fuck the rest, stay with the best.

Keep in mind many people who work in supplement stores are not really qualified to give advice.

Damn, I was afraid you'd be keeping it a secret until it happens. Oh well, still awesome either way, especially considering they just came out with two new ones what, in the past half year?

As mentioned in this thread, this line has stood the test of time. I have use Animalpak for over two decades. Even if you don't like something in the Universal/Animal line, there's a 100% refund. Can't beat that.
Many supplements have come and gone during my time as an Animal/Universal customer and many more will fall. Animal and Universal are going to be around for a long time to come.
This is a line that I stand behind 100%. Thanks Animal and Universal!

Utter horseshit. Some companies have to pay stores to push their products. Animal has never been and will never sell out like that. They have too many success stories and competition-proven products, that they don't have to. Animal products have seriously outweighed any other products I have ever used. Stick with Universal/Animal, and you'll be on the fast track to your goals.

agreed ther big h. there are way too many horror stories (and i have a list of them myself) about such and such at so and so said this and that. then they sit in their little "manager" meetings and wonder why internet sales are so strong. unfortunately, most of those employees have no clue about 90% of the stuff on the shelves, just what this weeks spiff money is on.
but i have to give props to my boy, jason, here in town. he moves the iron and walks it how he talks it. he will sell you what you want, but gives direction if you need help (after answering a battery of questions, though).he doesn't use all animal/universal stuff himself, but agrees that the hometeam products have stood the test of time and are among the best on the market, especailly when you are serious about results.
order it online best deals online anyway those guys get a percentage of the sales GNC, MAX MUSCLE, plus they are just working to get a paycheck animal is the best stuff I have ever supp with
Yea bro it definitely sounds like BS. I used to know a couple of guys that own supplement stores and they would tell me the great deals on supplements they would get if they bought a ton of it and then they would just push and push and push that product because they bought alot of it for such a cheap price. But there was a reason they bought it for so cheap...the shit was crap and the distributor just wanted it out of the warehouse.
Looks like BS to me, but hey everyone has its own experience with Animal line.
That mother fucker is on commission man. SO Animal being out of date = more money in the *****'s pocket. Animal DOES make classic supplements. Ones that are fuckin time tested and successful, and they've made all the necessary "updates" to make the products awesome, without charging you a month's wages for the shit. They rule and everybody fuckin knows it. He's just pissed because he's making less money to buy his McDonalds cheeseburgers with.

Yo. I used to work in a supplement store during college. You are asked to push certain products and brands, but there were a few of us who were in the game who gave it to people straight up. I wasted a lot of money when I was younger by listening to salesmen and their pitches, and I would not do that to anyone else. Spending a lot of money without seeing results is going to turn people away from training, and I want to see those people succeed and accomplish their goals. You gain credibility with those customers when the advice you give seems to help. I would simply tell customers straight up that I had tried every supplement known to man and I found that a stak of Animal products worked for me. I am 5'10'' and 200 lbs. with a 29'' waist and 5.4% bodyfat. Those numbers carry a heavy weight when it comes to selling products

I rarely buy stuff at GNC, but when I need to, I have a guy who gives it to me straight. His partner will recommend this stuff or that (pushing the sales or promoted items and lie about the great reviews it gets), but the real deal guy will tell me that they have to push this product but he'd really recommend blah blah. He's never said much about Animal, just that he sells alot of it.

I'm a college student and last year i worked in a GNC for 6 months to earn a little extra cash. The way those bastards promote diff. supps every month made me sick. I couldn't in good conscience tell people to buy Gakic one month and 5-tetra the next. Not once was I given a commission for selling animal products. Customers would look at the old man (manager) pushing whatever new muscletech supp was hot that month, and then they would look at my arms and take the animal supps i recommended. I'll tell you the same thing i told them. Listen to results, not hype.

Did any of that trendy GNC shit build Wrath, The House, G Diesel, Machine, Shak? do you ever see them smiling and flexing in Muscle & Fitness next to multi-colored bottles of the new trend, with fake ass before and after pictures designed to corral in up & coming monsters like us?
fuck no, Animal built those Animals...
you can follow the "heard" or walk the path of the Animal...
That's about it. Places like gnc only sell what they can make the most money off of not the shit that actually works. They need to hire people who know what their talking about. Ask some people who work their to go lift some plates with real men and see if they take you up on it:)
personally, i used to buy my shit at GNC and listen to the advice of those dicks and i wasted alot of money on shit that didnt produce results. those guys just sold me what they where making money on. now i know better and i buy the products i want online, because it saves aton of money.
Animal makes great products that have worked for me time and time again. so im going to continue using what i know works, and thats animal.
