What's up fellas? It's been a big while I aint been around here, med school been kicking ass. Just one look at the forvm topics and a little smile, this place is still the shit, and it will long be.

I've been training though, almost daily, trying to adhere to that animal lifestyle as much as I can, and I'm finally starting to feel good wearing the Animal Tshirt.

This post isnt just about telling you guys how I been, but I just been feeling the pull at the gym.

It's been my first contact with powerlifting, and the guys been telling me to join the club, cause as a bodybuilder who 'powerbuilds', I aint that far away from em. I gotta admit though, it's very, very tempting to be part of the big boys club. And to make things even more tempting, there's Ron Collins who's coach here - this guy was the first person to deadlift over 10 times his bodyweight, like 750kgs.

And at this moment, I am still thinking - should I yield to the pull, or just resist it. Let's hear your thoughts brothers.

Go for it man. Arnold and Columbo swear by their powerlifting backgrounds.

hey, powerlifting is a great way to build size before you sculpt. Gives you that dense, "grainy" look when you condition down.

Uh, nobody has deadlifted 750kgs. the world record deadlift is at 1003lbs buy andy bolton. about 450kgish

Is it me or does powerlifters have a more dense and grainy look when they diet down than bodybuilders? their muscles just looks more dense.

Isn't it your choice? If you wanna go for the big time pulls go ahead and powerlift. There's a few bodybuilders out there who are also pl's.

2 things. One no one on the planet to my knowlage has pulled 750kgs off the ground. I'm sure you meant 750 lbs. And two do what your heart tells you to do. No one can make this dicision for you. You CAN do both, JJ is a well known sucessful bodybuilder as well as powerlifter.

Power lift too. Arnold states that because him and Franco came from powerlifting backgrounds. They have a lot of the muscle density that people lack. And it could easily help with your gains if you eat well.
