sup guys, i just wanted to get some things clear with yams and raw eggs.

first, my microwave broke probably because i kept on defrosting my chicken in it lol so i gotta boil my yams. when i do, i usually peel em, dice em, boil em for 13 min then mash em up with milk and some cinimon.
when i do this am i boiling away most of the yams nutrtional goods or is it just as good if i were to nuke em in the microwave?

second is regaurding raw eggs..
i know u can eat raw eggs, i usually crack open 2 raw eggs with yolk and all and then crack open another 3 with only just the whites and mix it with some o.j. i heard when u eat unpasturized eggs like this ure body cant really digest the protein, and i dont have that much time in the morning so...

can n e 1 help me out, thanks.

your fine all the way around.

just make sure if your eating/drinking raw eggs to make sure it's the "whole" egg not just the egg white.

You can always drink the water you boil the yams in. I am not completely certain about eggs, but I heard the aren't as bioavailable if eaten raw. Maybe try scrambling a bunch as you boil your yams. That way you also avaid any chance of food poisoning/salmonella (though the OJ's acidity MIGHT take care of that).

the lower BV has to do with egg whites ALONE were the BV drops to about 50% (so that 1 egg white = ~3.5g, now its only 1.75g raw)...whole raw eggs is a differnt story.
