In my eyes there is truley only one thing i can ever be 100% certain of in life. It will never surprise me, never change, will always present itself to me in the same cold light of each and every day with no lies. It will not change its mind, its agenda, feelings, attitude or the way it is presented in my mind.
The dumbbells in the gym hav a brutal and relenting honesty. A 30kg DB will always weigh 30kg no matter what happens. Somedays it is lighter, some heavier, but that is my imperfection, and the difference in which i present myself to the weight. But like a true friend it never questions, never letsme down, however it is me that lets it down.
I sit here writing this, eating my umpteenth bowl of porridge so that can go to the gym and try repay some of that unrelenting faith which the weight provide me, its the least i can do to be there for the dumbbells as they are always there for me!
