Hey guys. I been havin problem. Whenever I add dextrose to my PWO whey shake...I notice that I tend to gain a considerable amount of fat. I cut the amount of dextrose I add...but doesnt seem to help. My diet is the same as always. Is it absolutely essential that I use simple sugars PWO...because I drink my shake the second I'm done lifting...and then my PWO meal about 45 minutes later. So would it make more sense to cut out the dextrose from my shake...and then just go home and eat 45 minutes later?

are you sure you are gaining fat or are you getting bloated? many of the fellas here (including me) get a bloat from simple carbs, so it makes sense... if you workout hard, a bit of dextrose is definitely not going to get stored as fat... I think it's good to have some post w/o, unless you're on a low-carb or keto diet

Yeah, it may just be that you're feelin' bloated. I used to take Nitro-Tech, but that left me feelin' bloated or sicc! Since you said you lowered the dextrose and still feel "fat" aka bloated, try switchin' up your PWO shake. After I stopped usin' Nitro-Tech and started usin' another brand, the bloatin' wuz gone. I'm on a low-carb regimen, so I can't have the simple carbs. However, since you're, I'm assumin', not on the low-carb regimen...you need the dextrose, or simple carbs, to replenish your glycogen stores.

Switch to Waxy Maize Starch, in place of dextrose. Passes through the gut a lot faster than dextrose and doesnt cause a 'bloat'.

They seem to grab everything you order!

I'm with these guys WMS is the best! I don't use torrent, shipping would be prohibitive, but I make something very similar myself with WMS as the main ingredient.

I agree, I get no bloat whatsoever from WMS and still get the insulin spike. Good stuff.
