Wat Up bros, I take Animal MAx, is this a quality protein shake?does anyone else take it or should i be on something stronger?
How's it working for you bro? Making gains?
I've used it before but quickly found that my body does not react well with creatine so i stopped using it and just use a protien powder and glutamine seperately but if you get good results with creatine then you can't ask for anything better than to have all 3 (protein, creatine and glutamine) in one can.

Not like it's promoted heavy but it's definately complete and needs a second look by a lot more people.
basically a blend protein- whey, casein, egg with 2.5 grams of creatine and 1 gram additional Glutamine per serving.
No bias at all, that to me is a one stop shop protein if I ever saw one. I could care less about taste but this one has a very good easy-to-put down taste in both van and choc. I give it a thumbs up..
Animal Max should be promoted more cuz it is badass.creatine, casein, and glutamine? cmon now this is a great mix.The taste is pretty damn good too.

Hey how easy does this stuff mix. That to me is more important than taste anyway. Is a blender needed or not??
christhemuss
01-26-07, 7:09 pm
How would you scale it to 1 to 10, against plain whey?
And does it have all the amino acid's that i need?
I tried to search on it and look on the label but it did'nt say much...
Hope im not asking too stupid here...

For me I think it is an excellent product!!! But it may not be right for you. Try it for a day or two and if your system tolerates it, give it a test run for six weeks or so. Then YOU can decide for yourself. What's good for the goose isn't necessarily good for the gander!

Max is prob the most overlooked item in the Animal lineup. Add it and some Lava and you're rocking. I just wish it came in a 10lb bucket..............
a blender makes it 100x better cause it tends to clump. i would rate it a 9.5-10

You got it. I've taken Animal Max for a while now, and always recommend it when someone asks me about a high quality protein. I have found that it mixes extremely well without a blender, just use a shaker cup. Vanilla is my choice. Good luck bro.

Just finished my first shake of Animal Max choclate..
Review:
Taste's F... awesome.. blends easly! i'd say 10 ounces of skim milk and 40 secs of shaking and it's ready.
can wait to see the results after have used it a while.. (recovery and stuff)
Didn't know that i had to use a can opener to get to the protein.. :D
That's just Fu.. animal style!
yeah, and one more thing this ownes ON whey shit...at least in my case..!

Solid protein supp that's been around a while... Whey protein, glutamine, and creatine.
Great post-workout supp. Been using the Max for years and always take 3 scoops of it post-workout.

the first thing u wanna check on protien bottles is the ingredients... the first thing mentioned shouild be whey protien ISOLATE! thats the purest form of protien if the first ingrediant is whey protien CONCENTRATE...i wouldnt buy it just my opinion both will work but ISOLATE works better and in tis sport its the little things that count PEACE
thanks bro's....i cant wait till i get it.

It's old school man, definitely old school. I used both Vanilla and Chocolate and they are both pretty good. The ingredient profile is good to, creatine mono, glutamine, and so on. Pretty good stuff, IMO.

I used the chocolate before. Like Freakshow said, the ingredients and taste are both pretty good.
Do it up. I was a bigger fan of the vanilla. Used to mix it with skim milk, oats, pb, and it was awesome. Go for it. Give it a whirl, the rest of the Animal line is the best in the business, so it would only follow suit that they made a great protein powder.

Pwnd lol
I've tried it. It is a decent protein. I found it didn't mix well, but made a hell of a good protein paste. I would mix in just a tablespoon or two of water/milk for each scoop of protein and ate it like a pudding.

This is an older universal product i believe. I'll be done with my contest trainging in a couple weeks. If anyone has an opnion on the animal max let me know thanks.

Animal Max is a solid product bro. if you have a shaker cup, you'll be fine. Taste is pretty thick and creamy if you mix in milk. I presonally like this a lot and use it before bed because there is a variety of proteins. I recommend it. Good luck for your contest.

Like MassMan, I also like Animal Max, I am just waiting for a bigger size to be available before I buy it year round. From a nutritional standpoint, its great anytime, IMO, and has a great blend of proteins, creatine, and glutamine. I have only tried the vanilla flavor, and it was pretty good.

i like the animal max pro the only thing is i think its a little flat on the taste but a scoop of pb helps it good stuff.
never heard of this one. I was in GNC and they also had a bottle not a can of an animal supplement I had never seen before too
So I was searching for a good protein powder on the Universal site, and well, I found Animal Max, I haven't seen it in any of the promotions here on the Animal Site, but I was reading up on it and it sounds a good deal to me. You only gotta take it once a day, but on training days, 2 times. It has whey, casin, and creatine in it as well as glutamine.

Alright, well what makes the Animal Max so much better from other protein powders is that its the only one (i believe so far) that has creatine in it. But ive been advised to take the Animal Max for about 2 months and then pause for abaut the same time and then continue. Due to the condition of the body, and it will adapt to the creatine and be immune to it.
Should i go with this? or should i keep taking it. And if i have to stop is there some kind of Animal Max without the creatine in it?
Thanks brothers

I think basically your question is more about creatine cycling... this is still controversial, so search for some threads in this forvm... and by the way, there's not a creatine-free animal max on the market, but you can switch to any other protein powder if you decide to stop taking it for a while

Hello Brotherhood of Iron
I've been wanting to try this protein from the Animal line, and I wanted to see some information about it.
I have been investigating and it seems to me that in Animalpak.com and even in the Forvm, very little is talked about it.
I wonder why?
Isn't it part of the Animal line like the rest?
Any special reason for it being so sort of "forgoten"?
More of a curiosity than anything else 'cause protein is so vital to us bodubuilders and seems like Animal Max is sort of an underrated animal line product.
Thanks Bros.

My thoughts exactly.
I'm gonna start using it in the first week of January.
I'll keep you guys updated on my first month of Animal Max usage.
I've always been a third party protein user, so I decided to be full 100% Animal and also go for the Animal Protein.
All the rest I use is pure Animal Stuff.

so far the max has been good. i like that is has multiple sources of protein, and the glutamine in it. it tastes ok, i have had much worst tasting proteins. and like others have said, it tends to clump up easier if you are not careful.

Protein supplements are comprised of specific amino acids; these amindo acids are the monomers of proteins and as we all know, proteins are the building blocks of muscle. So, if after a workout, you take a protein supplement with quality amino acids, the broken down muscle will rebuild with quality aminos.
A weak house will fare much better if rebuilt with better bricks.

Yes, when combined with the proper diet and training methods you will exerpience it. Since adding it into my normal routine I have added roughly 25lbs to the squat and deadlift, with a 15lb gain in the bench. Its not soley based on just the protein powder but a combonation of a sound diet, training, supplemenatation, and rest

It's odder to think it would not. If you make a list of what is not anabolic, or does not aid in recuperation in Animal Max, you will find your list starting at zero and staying there.

I know... but size does not always mean strength, and I rarely heard about strength gains only by using a protein powder

now we're talking about the combination... that's what I meant... I think (not sure) you're a powerlifter right? so basically anytime you make strength gains it's largely due to your training regimen and diet (meaning you would have gained the same amount of strength by having extra beef instead of animal max)...
It's odder to think it would not. If you make a list of what is not anabolic, or does not aid in recuperation in Animal Max, you will find your list starting at zero and staying there.
anabolic... never said not... though if one was to do a diet of only protein, I think you agree that he would probably lose strength (or in a veeery rare case maintain it), but not gain
