yesterday i was in the gym on a bench doing my wrist curls and there was noone else in the gym which means that there were like 6 other benches/squat wracks w/e but no obviously they werent good enough for this asshole who while i was over getting a drink of water came over and stole my bench and started just benching the bar ....wtf?!!? so i go over and politely say that i was on this bench and using it and upon hearing this while still benching the bar this ****** looks up and says plainly "FUCK OFF i pay to use this bench and i have every right to use it as u" so upon being shit on by this guy i flipped went off on this guy... long story short guy who owns the gym seeing as how ive been there since the day it opened tells him to get the hell off my bench or he would refund this guys one month membership because this wasnt the first time this guy was an asshole. Just wondering if anyone else has had someone who just wanted to be a cocksucker just to do it.... im not big or anything but im twice this guys size and i dont kno if he wanted to "punk" me or what but i had to rant because this really bothers me?
sorry but i just had to get this out there peace

Sup brotha,
I can completely sympathize with something like that. Those kinds of people are always gonna be around, so we just gotta deal with it and take it in stride. Obviously you did something right cuz this clown isn't goin to the gym anymore. Hang in there brotha. Peace

Always seem to run into a few of these idiots.
Not worth getting worked up about. But, there is a limit of how much sh!t you should put up with. Taking your bench was childish, his comment was way out of line.
Makes me remember some of the best advice I was ever given by my old man.
" Treat people twice as good as they treat you. If somone does something nice for you, do two nice things for them. But, if someone screws with you, or trys to hurt you. Hurt them twice." It's a philosophy that has worked well for me over the years.
Just some food for thought.

yeah but the guy that owns the gym is pretty tight with me because there were 14 people who joined before me and only 2 of them are left so im in with him pretty good and hold alil place above some of the other clowns there so tahts always good but its just the principle of there were other places to workout and this guy had to try n "F" with me just tossing it out there to see if anyone else had some stories like this that they deal with lol

its not that i want to get even tho that would be nice im not a real synical person but i just think a little bit of kindness and cooth would send this world upwards i try to help others but its just senseless to act in this manner.... people sometimes :)
Honestly man, I see where the anger is coming from but I have to ask and i don't mean to be a jerk why weren't u the bigger guy to grab your stuff and move to the next bench. I mean working out at college the gym is a dog eat dog sorta place. U get there at the wrong time and its like u need to sign up to get a bench. I see where the frustration of seeing your bench taken comes from but why not be the bigger animal and move silently and continue ur workout?

11) Be Above The Fray...
You're hardcore... Great. You're bigger than that kid training in your gym. Super. You're stronger than anyone in the room... Fantastic. So what? There's always gonna be someone bigger, stronger and more hardcore than you. So there's no need for you to post your exploits about you showed someone up here. No need to rub it in the faces of other members. We're all here to help one another become better individuals. Be yourself. If that chip on the shoulder, that attitude, is what defined the true Animal, then The Pros here would look down on the rest of us with nothing but scorn and disgust. But they do not. They are here and they help. They are here and they support. Being an Animal is about showing respect and humility. We are ambassadors of this great sport. We are role models. We do not want to become a negative bodybuilding stereotype or caricature. So, posts that ask this kind of question, "I'm more hardcore than you because..." or "I'm more Animal than you because..." will be locked and deleted. This place is not for chest thumpers or bellowers. It's not for you to prove how tough you are. If someone in your gym annoys you, ignore it. If someone here irritates you, move on. It's also not the place for you to vent or whine about how hard life is. Life is fucking hard. Yeah, so get over it. Complaining ain't gonna get you anywhere. If you want to vent, do it elsewhere, or take it to PMs, but don't clutter up The Forvm with it.
