fuckin awsome man just tried them out
sounds good ...i got to post up my recipe for turkey burgers ....
Alright I ran a search.. and I hope I don't get angry posts.. but I don't know what to do with my Lean Ground Beef...
I normally make some Mac and Cheese with Whole wheat noodles and Fat Free Cheese... But one can only eat so much Mac and Cheese until they vomit (Which actually happened for some reason)... Anyways point being I am bulking back to 250LBS... I need 20LBS more to go... I have a new butcher who gives me free ground beef... So I must make use of this wonderful resource, so if you have any ideas for me or the other members in general can you throw them up..?
Thanks in Advance,
Chin

I like to take a 1\2 lb patty, and make it wide and thin. Then, on top, put some chopped onion, mushrooms, a little worchestershire sauce, and a slice of low fat cheese. Put another patty just like it on top and pinch the edges together, like a pie. Broil to your taste. Eat with a fork and knife with a side of spinach. Tons o' protein. Yum.
Patties, loose with rice, shit, ground beef is not only our size staple food, but you can put it in almost anything...
I've been doing this, easy to package, carry around, and can be used as a meal, or addition to a meal..
2 lbs ground beef
2 jars of maranara sauce
cook beef loose in a pan, drain the fat. add 2 jars of sauce to sauce pan. mix, enjoy.
it comes out to 4-6 meals, I like it saucy-er, some like it with more beef. it's up to you.
Eat that like it is, or cook up some pasta, put it on a hamburger/hotdog bun. get a loaf of french bread and use that as your spoon.

Tho we aint all got the time (or patience) to muster those recipes. So i just consider ground beef (or mince beef as we call it) as play-do. Mold it, shape it , sculpt it, flatten it, whatever. Then just toss some tasty extra's into it, such as diced onion, chopped mushrooms, peppers, nuts, the possibilities are endless.
Spaghetti sauce.
Burgers.
Meatloaf.
And when all else fails...HAMBURGER HELPER!

You lucky MFer - what I'd give for a hook-up like that with ground beef.
Anyways, people mentioned good ideas like meatloaf, different kinds of burgers, sauteed loosely with different veggies or cheese.
I'd also do sloppy joes, barbecue sauce and cheese, or just add whatever spices you can think of. I know there are plenty of good ethnic recipes - Indian, Mexican, Italian, you name it - all that use ground beef.

Well I work at a brewery... and I get beer for free... plus all my spring water... so I basically trade a case for about 4 pounds of beef... whatever he has handy... makes for a good deal.

There's also Wrath's concoction of mashed sweet potatoes with ground beef. It is pretty tasty. A little bland, but tasty.

Explain?
Explain?
Exactly what I was thinking. It's pretty contradictory.
