Aight guys, theres not much activity goin on over. lets see who we got on board over here. If ur a powerlifter, or into power training, step up and introduce yourself.

Lets see some stats

-age
-where you are from
-what gym you train out of or team you are on
-weight & weight class
-best competition and gym lifts

and whatever else want to share-- except that after a heavy squat session you light some scented candles and take a long hot bubble bath while reading Daniel Steele's latest romance novel with Fabio on the cover-- keep that shit to yourself! WE ARE CLOSE-- BUT NOT THAT CLOSE!

Sup Big Byrd...honor to have you herr bro....sick squats and congrats on the WR's....

Brandon
-28 years old
-Tucson, AZ
-Train at Power and Physique Systems - Gym owned by John Pena (ranked 198 PL)
-Tip the scales at 300ish right now...Will be in the 275+ class at the next meet...
- 1st ever meet is this saturday, the 15th....non-fed push/pull

Looking for 300 bench and 405 pull....lower back was tweaked so I have not pulled in about a month, trying to let it rest....

Best gym lifts
B - 255x3
S - 325 for an easy single
D - 355 x 3

Rookie....Found my way to the darkside about 5 months ago...have made good strides in that time, was doing a bodybuilding type of split to drop some baby fat...got down to around 275, started to eat again with I decided to go heavy and back up to 3 bills (+...hahahah)

I am working a 5x5 that Powerfreak helped me set up, but I am looking at trying a Tate program after my meet....

Oh yea, almost forgot that I am thinking about getting into some gear soon...the guys at the gym almost have me talked in to getting some breifs....and then it will be down hill from there....well for the checking account anyway.....

good luck in ur meet this weekend. i can definately relate about the tweaked low back. mine has been jackt since the day after my 1050 squat. THAT didnt bother me.. it was going to the gym the next day for a set of 20 rep raw squats that did it! haha smart, i know. i pushed for a while and finally backed off it the last 6 weeks, but im gonna give it a test run tonight i think.

My personal opinion about the gear is stay out of it for a while till u build up a good base. u can play in it some, but keep the bulk of ur training raw for now.

I found that I put weight on too fast and lost my mobliity. That led to my deadlift form going to shit. I felt like I could not get to the bar like I used to, every thing felt out of wack, and I pulled anyway, instead of stepping back and working out the kinks....torqued the lower back...So I have been trying to get my mobility and flexabliity back...also added a belt for the 1st time in 10 years, see how that feels.....I was thinking the same thing on the equipment, I want to hit as least 400 on bench before I get in to a shirt....maybe 500 on squats...time will tell...

-15 years old, turning 16 at the end of February.
-Been bodybuilding since 2/27/06, switched to powerlifting this summer.
-From Stratford, CT.
-It's a commercial gym, nothing to brag about, but I will be switching to Southside Gym in Milford in the spring to train with guys like Matt Rhodes, TT McCray, Vinny Dizenzo, Billy Mimnaugh.
-Weigh about 174, will compete in the 181's or 198's in the near future. Would like to compete in the 242's someday.
-Never competed, but best gym lifts are a 405 IPF depth squat, 255 paused bench, a 385 sumo deadlift from a two plate defecit, and a 205 olympic clean and jerk.

If all goes according to plan, I would like to compete in the 181-200 class at the CT High School State Opens (squat-bench-clean) this March. I would like to open on 405-275-225 respectively. I am searching around for other meets, but after that I am looking at the USAPL Penn State Championships (squat-bench-dead) where I'd like to compete in the 198's, and open at 405-275-405.

Age: 28
Team: Southside Iron Powerteam in Allentown, PA
Current Weight: 202-205
Weight Class: 198

Best Gym lifts...

Squat:
545 raw for a single
645x5 SSB with chain (445 in weight, 200 in chain) raw
435x20 SSB (straight weight) raw

Bench:
315 raw for a single
385 in a 1-ply Rage X for a triple (my first shirt)

Deadlift:
455 with straps for a single (2 years ago; haven't used straps in a long time now)
415 raw double overhand hook grip for a single

I'm getting a pair of Predator Briefs for Christmas. Not sure what kind of squat suit I'll eventually go with; honestly I might have to borrow someone else's (those suckers are mad expensive!!). Still can't touch in my bench shirt yet; I just got it and never benched shirted before. I have a feeling 405 is very soon and I might be able to touch with that weight. For 385 I got almost to 1 board distance.

My first competition will be IPA Power Palooza, April 2008 in Leesport, PA. My goals for that meet are pretty steep for me: 800 squat, 450 bench, 550 deadlift. I want to score "pro" and compete at IPA Nationals next November. Won't fully find out how much ground I have to make up until I suit up, obviously.

Will Irby, wasn't on the results. You gave me a lift off on my bench opener (425), elbow popped about 3in from lockout and you grabbed it before it hit me in the face, LOL. I was wearing a red F6 and black singlet. I was 4th in the second flight on bench.

Was not a good day for me...I left a lot of weight on the platform.

Train out of my garage or at Fitness Plus, train strongman with Stoners Gym crew. www.stonersgym.com.
Currently at 208, will compete at 198.
All my lifts are raw. I have a cheap $20 10 mm, 4 inch suede belt, cheap white knee wraps, and blue lo-top Chucks. Using cheap wrist wraps, just ordered the new "Strangulators" wraps from APT about 15 minutes ago.

Squat - 217 lbs
Bench - 124 lbs
Deadlift - 259 lbs

Goals are a 300 lb squat, 150 lb bench and 300 DL by 6/08. I have the Western States Law and Fire Olympics meet next year, along with the USAPL state meet in Pocatello, ID, in 11/08. I'm also competing in the Genesis Gym Stone Comp in Nampa, ID, and a strongman/woman meet in Tempe, AZ in April of 2008.

All my lifts are raw except for a belt and chalk. I'm new to powerlifting, convert from bodybuilding. My next training cycle I'm going to start doin back squats, I've been doin Front squats only because that is what I'm use to and wanted to see how my body would react to training heavy with them. In about 3 weeks i'm going to start using my bench shirt I recieved for my Bday when i start doin 3x3. Training is going very well and I think I'm gonna get my 500 dead in a few months. Gonna start posting more on the forvm.

I've competed in the 80's90's and now 2000.I've seen the changes from garbage equipt to the science that enhances our sport today!!!I feel I've reinvented myself several times to keep on training. Our powerlifting group is made up of a mixed group led by TEK(TommyK) on your forum. Check out the universal nutrition catalog which contains several pics from our gym.We follow many if the westside training protocols,Dave Tate gave a seminar at our gym. We learned hands on from Bill Crawford and Sebastian Burns how to shirt bench at our gym. So we're always open to new ideas. Hopefully the forum can pick our minds.
Always looking for serious lifters to train with.

Im looking for a powerlifting gym nearby to learn the techniques and methods and to eventually compete. On a side note I judge high school meets in Texas and do enjoy helping coaches and lifters achieve goals and PR's.
I enjoy helping my own students achieve success in the weightroom.

I've learned from many and enjoy giving back to new lifters!

Sam,

All is good right now, still focusing on the body weight issue. I got about 35-40 more pounds to go to be right where I wanna be.

I'm planning on competing in the end of April hoping to be under 300 by then. Not sure what kind of weight I'm looking at hitting but I'm always looking for a PR. My plans are to get to 280-285 and compete in the 275's for my first time ever :)

Alot of strength will come back once u increase cals again. plus some weight gain, so u may want to try to get a little under goal weight so when u rebound some u can stay there. unfortunatley it comes back a WHOLE lot easier than it came off!

talked to ur BFF Nick today. said he ruptured his anus--or was it his bicep? anyways, he has to lay off the recieving end of anal for a few weeks, but should be ok.

I raw powerlift and I compete in strongman
- I train out of southside in Milford on Friday nights to bench then squat on saturdays at elite fitness.
- my regular gym lifts are at golds gym in new haven.
- If I was going to do a powerlifting meet, I would be in the 242 class. My last strongman show I competed in the under 230 bracket.

My best powerlifts are on my sig.

last full meet - 148's 385/264/462. gym lifts 400/275/485. back pblms ended my sq/dl carreer, now i just bench. miss dearly those heavy 1/4 squats & even heavier 1/4 dl lockouts. 1000 lb bar wrapped around your shoulders or having it in your hands is something every lifter should feel just once. rem when 765 in the dl lockout was a warmup- i could walk up to my moms buick skylark & grab it behind the right rear tire & pick up both passenger side tires off the ground like it was nothing. (still cant figure out what happened to my lower back...) so now i just train for size...

Hey I'm 19 I started about 2 years ago at Joes Gym in Erie, PA. I've always been small so I got sick of it and started training hard. Now it's my life. I was weighing about 130 when I started and now I'm about 190. The owner Joe Orengia trained me in powerlifting and that's what I've been doing ever since I love it. I never competed because my parents wouldn't let me for some retarded ass reason but heres some of my gym lifts.

Deadlift: 425 x 13
Bench: 275 x 1
Squat: 325 x 13

Never really tried to see what I could pull for 1 rep so I'm not sure, but now that I live on my own I'm gonna start competing. I'd like to try to break some records. Hopefully I can get some tips from everyone to help me win. later

Joe Cal. Born and raised in Carteret, NJ now living in North Brunswick, NJ. I work as a NJ State Trooper for 20 years. I've been competing in powerlifting since 1980 and lifted in every federation out there. I am a 165/181 now and for the past 2 years have been only doing bench only. No reason for the bench only, just been lazy. Going back to my roots and doing full meets from now on. Train at Skiba's Gym in Carteret, NJ with my old training partners Henri Skiba and Ron Ernhart and the rest of the crew, Tom K, Maze, Slav and the list goes on. Part of the Jersey Iron Team led by Big Tone and his guys and Proud of it.

Best Meet lifts: 1984 132 lbs 415/270/425 - 1110 total ( man I'm old )
148 lbs 435/295/440 - 1170 total
165 lbs 525/350/500 - 1375 total
All done in a single ply Z-suit with a EHDHP shirt.

Bench only: 165 lbs - 400
181 lbs Master ( 44 years old ) - 435

Moved to the dark side with double denim. keeps me in the game as I got older. I have a Metal Militia style bench press so the denim works for me. Shoot ing for 500 in the near future as I turn 45.

best incline bench press is 210
best squat is 290 for 1.5 reps ( spotter on the 2nd rep)

i can do dips between benches with 145 pounds on me for 6 reps if that means something.

i love the feeling of lifting heavy weight and completing the rep.

i can do dips between benches with 145 pounds on me for 6 reps if that means something.

i love the feeling of lifting heavy weight and completing the rep.

hey, is a 400 pound deadlift good for a 170-175 pound guy at my age? not to sure where i fall in the rankings. askin a pro here like Big byrd or someone.

never seen anyone claim a half rep before! haha

yes a 400lb DL is pretty good. there is a big difference in ur squat and DL tho. if u push ur squat hard i garuntee ur DL will raise dramatically also. dont over train the 2. not sure where that falls in the rankings, but it is a good base. push that squat hard. besides, the hips and shoulder girdle are what will develop the fastest at ur age, so u should focus most of ur work there. the bench will not really come till u get a bit older for most people.

I am 35 years

6 foot 195lb

clean and press 145lb 3 sets of 8 reps!!!

Squat ( before I blew my out) 300 3 sets 0f 8 reps

I am all about muscle stamina.. So try this bench press 145 as many times as you can use a spotter you should get @ lest 40 reps or more I max out @ 50 then rest for 30 sec then do 80 % of your max on bench. I love to do this!!!

see, the thing is i had injured my knee in january 2007. i was only able to squat what i was squating at the start of 2007 around september this year. so i was out from total squating for months and i replaced it with lots of deads. deads are MY lift if you know what i mean. i connect well with it.

to be honest, today is my 3rd training day doing barbell bench presses. in myt earlier years ihad no spotter and i realised doing benches to failure will end bad so i did em with dumbbells. then this year in like may, i did my first bar bell presses but in a smith machine. now i have decided it is time to fix that, my chest is something i wanna improve to balance off my width which aint to bad, i got good side delt and lat development. i need a chest to match that though.

lol, pretty good for my second day benching technically!!!

ya, forced reps are the ones that count, the others mean shit all, its the failure rep and beyond ones that make men into monsters.

that bench thing sounds tough. how bout take an 80% squat, follow up immediately with 25-30 burpees (google it and crossfit) if u dont know what they are) then hit 80% squat again, repeat for 5-6 singles at 80%... thats tough!

i have also started doing strongman medelys which are always fun till i puke

i feel ya on the knee injury, i blew mine out in 04 and set me back a full year. just work it back in slow and the strength will come back fast. the best dl assistance is squats.

about the bench, thats exactly what i was saying, the shoulders and hips develop first. you are still young and growing. most of ur efforts should concentrate on where u will see the most gains, hips/legs and shoulders. work ur chest hard too, just know that it will develop better as u age.

I'm not a powerlifter in the sense that I compete in powerlifting; I'm a competitive wrestler. However, I do have what I would call an addiction to power. I train to be as strong as possible. With that being said:

I train alone and all of my training is done completely raw with the exeption of chalk on bench and deads.

Age: Just turned 21
Height: 6'
Weight: Currently bulking up a weight class, so I'm sittin' around 210.
Location: Currently Ramstein AB, Germany. Will be PCS'ing in nine months back to the states though.
Deads: 495X3, 545X1
Squats: 495X5, 545X1
Bench: 405X3, 425X1

I would say that neither deads or squats feel like a natural movement to me. I do them because I know they're beneficial and that I should, but they don't feel like a natural movement to my body. Bench feels much more natural, but I wasn't ever fond of the bench. I only started trying to go really heavy on the bench in the last year. My max has gone from an ugly 315 to a pretty smooth 425 in the last year; still raw.

Hello all,

My name is Matt Dickerson I am 27 years old and I live down in San Diego CA. I have been training for about 6-7 years total and have been a competitive power lifter for the past 2 years. The 635 sumo pull was from a meet last may, I recently hit a reverse band sumo pull of 735 with the blue bands. My Conventional pull is horrible. I can barely hit 585. I have a stiff leg style when pulling conventional. I think my sumo is probably up now but haven't actually pulled from the ground straight weight for a long time. I recently changed up my technique on the box and on the sumo. I try to push my knees out as wide as possible and turned my feet outward more than I was. This helped dramatically for both. My weakness is always at the lockout and I think I will start doing reverse band deads more often to help. I walked out and hit a 655 squat in the USPF meet last may. I listed 700 pounds for the squat because that is my recent PR off the box just at parallel with briefs and a belt. I haven't done a free squat for quite awhile but my free squat is usually 120-150 pounds more than my box if I am using the monolift, single ply titan, and wraps. I don't have a decent squat suit anymore and am thinking about getting the metal ace.

I train straight west side method and have gotten great gains in the past two years. I train with James Kegrice. I am sure you have done a few meets with him. He is a 198er as well. Maybe you know him? Anyways, thanks for the reply and any advice you have would be very much appreciated. If you ever make it down to San Diego, we would love to have you at our gym Sam. Thanks!

San Diego!? That is my favorite place in the world! i LOVE old town! i would not mind living there AT ALL if i had the money.

now u say ur sticking point sumo is at the top sumo. i am willing to bet that it is not so much as a weakness, as it is a technique flaw. my guess is that u are letting ur back round at the very start of the pull (u say u SL it anyways) which puts u way out of line to finish strong at the top. the other problem could be that ur feet are too wide for ur hip flexibilty which wont allow u to push ur hips through solid at the top, even with no weight in that stance.

most likely ur best stance will be how u land jumping off a box to the ground, or ur raw squat stance.

Hey... that is a great point! When I watch my video tapes, my back does seem to be rounded over. My sumo style isn't stiff legged at all but I do usually go pretty wide. I will take your advice and narrow up the stance a bit to see how that works out. Thanks.

I have found that as my box squat goes up my sumo also comes up. I think if you train regular and heavy with box squatting that the sumo could be more natural for you. Before I started box squatting the Sumo stance felt very unnatural for me and my conventional was stronger. Now it is completely the opposite.

hey guys!!! i got my squat from 290 to 340 yesterday! what a jump!

i had not maxed in about a month, i focused on deeeep squats and a pause at the bottom and i did 10 sets of em.

i did them yesterday and soon realised that my 3 rep max moved up to like a 7 rep max and i knew it would be a good squating day!

finished up with some leg extensions, 5 sets with 310 ( whole rack plus 5's) and leg curls 5 sets, 100 pounds and 4 drop sets.

i also deadlifted before for 5 sets, i missed my new record of 405 vs my old 400. next time.

Western Wisconsin
Train at my local YMCA, have friends who are PLers at other gyms though.
Normal weight 115-118-- compete in 114.5 lb weight class
Competition lifts are 145/100/230 on 11/10/07 after 7 1/2 wks of starting to lift heavy. Had never even done a DL before that!
Best gym lifts are in Sig.

Edit: And just last night I did take a hot bath while reading a romance novel, thank you very much! (Sorry, couldn't resist!)

All right, i will step up even though i am still a newbie.
I am 37, living in the Netherlands. Started training 10 months ago.
I train at Body Support, Groningen. I am part of the Ysbrechtum benchpress team as a reserve member (not strong enough for serious competition yet, but it gives me much needed experience and extra training in shirt. Technically i am good enough already).
There are VERY FEW serious powerlifters in the Netherlands, so training/coaching etc is really difficult. Mostly i have to rely on mail, calls and a once in 4 weeks technical training at my mentor. Always have to work out alone. Not the best of possibilities, but those are my cards i have to play with.
Weight is now 86kg (was 71 in april); weightclass 82,5kg-90kg.
Personal records:
Bench 95kg raw (shirt also, but is from 4 weeks ago, should be higher now)
Squat 100 kg raw, 120kg with wraps
Deadlift 155kg raw
According to my mentor my bench is a good 'real' personal record. My squat and deadlift are not topped out yet, meaning that the real personal record is higher. I am training mostly on technique for the moment to prep myself for my first competition. It will be announced soon. I am going for a 400kg total for the competition.
Just wish powerlifting would be more of a common sport over here, more knowledge and training partners would certainly help. But at least i am doing what i love and not even doing too badly considering my start in april.

Howdy. Living in Columbus, have you ever visited West Side Barbell?

Oh yeah... I live about fifteen minutes away from Westside.

From outside you would ever be able to tell it was a gym, no signs, no nothin!

A buddy of mine David Hoff who I went to high school with lifts there and invited me to come over and take look. Talk about an atmosphere, you walk in the place and you can almost cut the intensity with a knife.

I lift at a gym ran by a couple of guys who train at Westside, and they have us doing about the same thing. Westside is definetly a true gym and hopefully I can get good enough yo get an invite for a training session.

Welcome Phillip

A lot of people have a bigger raw dead lift than their squat. Depends on how you are built and the way you squat. Being 6,1 and 220, the bench could be an issue of weight. You might just need to eat more and gain weight to get it to start coming up. It could also be technique. It's hard to say without seeing you, but start or focus on building freaky strong triceps with extensions, board work and close grip benching. This is standard advice that is often times forgotten about. Train triceps twice per week.

Been on here for a while, but I'm pretty new to the powerlifting scene;

Started a powerlifting team at Georgia State University at the beginning of this year to compete at the collegiate level. Current raw ORMs are in my signature, I hope to greatly improve as the months go on!

By the way, if any of you are hosting any meets in GA let me know.

Nice analogy, I like. If you have long arms than work on getting that arch up. You have to believe that you will bench 500 to get there. Start thinking about it all the time and seeing yourself doing it as a common thing. Good luck to you too.

Hey brother although at 5'10" you do need to put on some size, as a powerlifter the most important thing is to get stronger! Work on getting your lifts up as well as your accessory lifts. It might take some time to find what works best for you. You'll hear about lifters who swear by the russian routines, while others use a western conventional pyramid program. Other's just go balls to the walls heavy week in and week out. Almost everything will work for a while. The best advice I can give is KEEP A JOURNAL!! try a program and a mean stick to it till the end and record your strength gains and progress. Then try something different and compare the results. Then go on to something else. But if you don't keep track of what did and didn't work for you, you'll never make it as far as your potential will truly allow.

Yeah man, I hear you. Thats what I'm doin right now, I've been logging every workout since early January and I have made some progress. I've been trying to beat the workload of the previous' bodypart workout. Well damn, just yesterday, I hit a wall with military presses. In vain of beating last week's workload, I wanted one more rep with 185. This was a rest pause single, and I've been unracking the weight myself the whole time. Well, as I was unracking the weight for this last single, my right shoulder buckled, I heard a crack, and the weight almost came down on my head. Luckily, I racked the barbell crooked in the middle of the rack and got up in major discomfort. It turns out that I sprained my rotator cuff. HOW LONG SHOULD I TAKE OFF? THIS REALLY SUCKS!

powerlifter500
03-19-08, 2:49 pm
Oh man that does suck!! Rotator injuries can take a real long time to heal properly. As for how long that really depends on the extent of the injury. One thing for sure for a rotator injury don't just try to train through it. Have you gone to se an ortho yet? Make a list of what lifts do and don't bother you and train around it as best you can. One more thing be sure it was you rotator, about 6 months ago I thought I had strained a rotator myself. I went to a massage therapist and it turned out to be an extremely tight rhomboid muscle that was causing me pain on my bench! get it checked out and post the results. I'm sure someone here will have the right answer!

drive, detication and being fucking determined is the key

its always a ruch reaching a goal. a sence of accomplishment.but keep making progress as fast as you can and fuck the dates. no matter how long it takes you, you will reach your goals if its is something you MAKE happen.

Derek, some advice, stick to mostly triples and sets of 5 on your heavy days for your big movements (squats, gms, pulls, bench work, boards, lockouts, etc), and then do 5 sets of 10-15 on all your assistance work (bis, tris, traps, lats, rows, etc). Also eat big to get big and you should be fine.

Lets see some stats

-18 going on 19 (in about a month)
-New York City
-Steel Mill (small local gym that lets me slam the weights :)
-251lbs looking to qualify for the 242lb mark
-best competition and gym lifts

Bench 295 90% raw (I use wrist wraps so its not a 100 %)
Deadlift 485 100% raw ( no straps, no belt, no suit, just chalk and metal!)
Squat 385 100% raw (ass to calves, well below the parallel, no suit no belt no wraps)

Been lifting for nearly 2 years now, I eat sleep and shit hardcore, My idea of cutting is doing more then 3 reps on a lift, Looking to compete in powerlifting soon.

If you want my myspace ask for it...

ahh I am new to the forum, looking foward to sharing stories of iron and metal.

I don't have official lifts under my belt - no pun intended - but I will April 26. I'm doing my first Powerlifting contest for the ADFPF - American Drug Free Powerlifters Federation. I'm really psyched and just watching and reading everything I can to make sure I've fine tuned my technique. The only thing I'm having trouble with is what I'm going to open with. I think I'm going to open with slightly under my current max for my 1st lift, go a little over my current max for my 2nd lift and then go a little heavier for my final lift. Any suggetsions?

03-31-08, 1:24 am
A rule of thumb that is good for beginners to follow... opener should be about a 3rm... Second attempt should be about 95% of your goal for the meet... Third attempt should be your goal. Also, judging by your signature, if your Detroit area, if you aren't already, get over to Detroit Barbell Club owned my Clay Brandenburg. He's an elite level lifter who has a solid team at his gym as well.

so how did it go? whatd u hit?

well, lets just say this thursday i am going for 365!!! it went good, last week i got 360 for 1 rep then i did it agin the following set for 2 reps, the second needed a spot though.

so now i reached a total of 1005 pounds. 235 bench, 360 squat and 410 deadlift.

like you told me earlier, work my squat more and i did, bumped it up by 70 pounds. my deadlift went up by 10 pounds to and my bench by 20 pounds.

takin it slower on the deads now. best lift for me so i wanna work at perfecting my form too

i do hang cleans now too. i can get 170 pounds for a single. i need to still work on form.
its only been like 1 month since i started hang cleans.

any tips for the bench? i always seem to hurt myself on it. ALWAYS!!! it feels like i pull my pec or sometimes my delt hurts. i think its cause i dont warm up enough n chest day.

but ya, any tips on my lagging bench press? i do it on a 30 degree incline though, not flat.

Hey guys, new here but here's my info

-Name's Jeremy
-27
-Live in Ashland, OH
-Train in the only place here, the Y it's terrible, but it's home
-Have never competed, but plan on it sometime soon enough
-Right now, I"m bloated and fat as hell at 6'6", 325-330ish plan to knock that down to around 260-280 depending on how I feel

Current lifts:

Bench-can 1rm around 275-350, varies depending on how my shoulder feels
Squat-can get up around 350, but feel that I can do much better
Dead-around 375-400, once again, depending
I suppose those are all best guesses though, since i hardly ever lift 1rm and it's been a while since I tried and can just guess off of normal working sets

I introduced myself in the new guy forum as well, trying to rehab my arm and get back to form after getting adult onset epilepsy and tearing up my shoulder during a seizure. I've lost a lot of weight on my lifts in the last year (100+ per lift) but I'm not gonna let that be an excuse for failure.

I lift DC style, so if any of you guys are into it and wanna discuss methods or share input about it, hit me up, I"m more than game.

I lift as a ventilation of everything that goes on in my life. NO, i am not crying out like a little bitch, saying that my life is fuckin' hard, but it is the only stress relief i have in the offseasons. It's the only thing that stands between me, broken hands, and broken noses. I've found that when i lift, i use the everyday things that piss me off, to help me "run through the wall" and get the weight. I love to make myself bigger, and badder, especially knowing that i used to a butter bean, and i've changed myself into what i am now.
