Sup fellas,
When you have carb cutoffs in your diet, do you include fat in your diet after you cut out the carbs? For example, say I cut out carbs after 2pm. Before 2pm, do you eat carbs and protein and no fat, or include all three. Also, after 2pm, do you just eat protein, or do you up the fat intake now that carbs have been cutoff. Sorry if this doesn't make any sense but what I'm basically trying to say is where does fat and how much of it fit into the carb cutoff diet. Peace.

There was just a thread about this the other day with the same question, and the unanimous reply was that you can eat fats all the way up to bedtime, including the popular PB in the pre-bedtime meal. I concur with this reply.

I hope you're not bulking if you're having a carb cutoff, especially at 2pm... generally if you're cutting it's a good idea not to eat large amounts of carbs with fat, so if you cut carbs at 2pm, save most of the fats for the afternoon and the evening... protein at every meal

thanks guys, I've been out of the loop for a while so I'm sorry for not using the search function, but as far as the cutoff time goes, 2pm was an arbitrary time I picked. I'm cuttin down right now for rugby season, so I was thinkin about maybe beginning the cutoff at like 6 or 7pm to begin with, thanks guys. Peace

I think 7 is a good time, at least most people that I've seen choose that as a good cut off point.

Vinny answered a question like this at the NJ ABC session. if i recall correctly sometimes cutting carbs and such at night can do more harm then good and you can actually eat more and lose fat and keep or in some cases gain strength while dieting. it all depends on how you break up your meals and WHAT you eat.

If you're going to cut off carbs that early than I suggest stocking up on some meats like hamburger and some turkey sausage. They make it easier (At least for me) and keep you in a good calorie range when you have no carbs to depend on.
