Fellas,
Since Im gonna be sitting at home till the end of march and can't really do much (due to havin foot surgery, which is all healed up, but needs to be immobile for a long ass time), I was wondering if goin on a keto diet would be a good idea. I just wanna get rid of some excess fat that I've packed on while bulking. Up until now, I was pretty much just maintaining, but I don't feel like I'm really accomplishing anything and wasting my time, and I can't lift with my legs, or really lift heavy in alot of things, so bulking is out.

I've figured out my lean body mass, and the appropriate amount of protein and carbs per day, and I've even done a meal plan that I could follow. I just have a few questions, I know alot of people here have done different forms of the diet, so I'm looking forward to some diverse answers. So here are my questions:

1. I have my foot in a cast, so I don't know how much cardio I'm going to be able to do other than my 4 days of lifting, which I can do with little rest between sets to keep my HR up. Should I even bother cutting if I cant do cardio 100%?

2. What is the maximum amount of carbs one can consume a day (assuming 200lb lbm), because I know whey and storm have ~4 g per serving, and if I can get away with 30g of waxi maize before I work out I think it would help energy levels.

3. I'm planning on staying on the diet until the end of march/early april when I am fully mobile, and then will be full swing bulking to get my legs back up, is this relatively short span of time spent cutting even worth it?

Any other input you guys have would also be great. Thanks.

in my opinion
since you are gonna be sittin around

stay away from ketosis

remember
ketones are gonna be all over your body
and you need to get rid of them
by exercising

from what i have been reading
ketosis is not a good diet for people that doesnt hit the gym
so i suggest you just eat clean

and by the way
when you are ready
if you really wanna go on ketosis
waxy maize is not ok to have it on a cut
zero carbs mean zero carbs

its not that I dont hit the gym at all, I still have 4 intense 1-hr workouts in a week, so I'm not gonna be sittin on my ass 24/7. I just didn't know if that was enough.

but thats the thing, I've never really made a serious attempt to lose body fat before, so I don't really know my body in this regard. If you can give me a starting point, that would be great. Also, is there any timing involved with how I ingest carbs, or just a little with each meal? I'm really deferring to your experience here, becuase I have none.

not to be a lard ass
but just have some rest
when you heal
then you go into trial and error
there's nothing wrong with it
i am bulkin for my first time
if i bloat before i gain muscle
fuck it

that's trial and error
and that is the only way i am gonna learn

what works for you doesnt work for me
and what works for me doesnt work for you

low carbs i would say 100grams

it all depends on your weight

Fellas,

I just wanna get rid of some excess fat that I've packed on while bulking. I've figured out my lean body mass, and the appropriate amount of protein and carbs per day, and I've even done a meal plan that I could follow. I just have a few questions, I know alot of people here have done different forms of the diet, so I'm looking forward to some diverse answers. So here are my questions:

you can cut just fine w/o cardio, remember in the end its about cals in vs. cals out.so as long as you exerting more energy than your consuming you'll still lose wt.

2. What is the maximum amount of carbs one can consume a day (assuming 200lb lbm), because I know whey and storm have ~4 g per serving, and if I can get away with 30g of waxi maize before I work out I think it would help energy levels. "most" kto diets recommend under 100g of carbs per day (this is after minusing out fiber content)...however to speed up the the process of entering ketosis it is also recommended to stay under 40g for the 2 week introduction process. also as far as the whey and storm go, i would use those post work out, not pre work out. remember the idea he is to use as much glycogen as possible to force the body to start using up fat stores...so no carbs pre-work out. post work out i wouldnt go hog wild, but a few extra carbs from the storm or whey will not kick you out of ketosis unless you eat some a huge amount of carbs.

3. I'm planning on staying on the diet until the end of march/early april when I am fully mobile, and then will be full swing bulking to get my legs back up, is this relatively short span of time spent cutting even worth it? i see no issue for the short duration of time you'll be on it.

Any other input you guys have would also be great. Thanks.
