And also, if you are a tester and travelling to the Arnold, hitting the ABC on saturday etc, then be vigilant and keep it to yourself, otherwise it could be a big giveaway, even if pics emerge of winners at the meets, drinking orange/green or yellow liquids etc....

My question is I lift then hit cardio. Should I use torrent after the lift prior t the cardio or after the cardio?

Each serving is three scoops, so those containers don't really go a long way. And I was slightly exaggerating - it's probably more like 6.

Ok, so I took the first dose of 3 scoops today. Here are some thoughts
1. originally when I saw the flavor I was not overly excited, but I have to admit it tasted good
2. my biggest issue off the bat was mixability. It took a lot of shaking to make sure it mixed, but with some effort I was good to go.
3. It has been 1/2 hour since I took it and I am starting to feel the swell that I have heard about. My arms are pumped as hell, which is of course a good thing.

So far so good. I will keep posting my impressions in my log

After lifting today I mixed this with 20oz. water like I do with the cherry Torrent, and I've got to say this new flavor is fucking INTENSE.
I was pretty wiped out after lifting, but this sort of woke me back up because that shit was like a smack in the mouth (in a good way I guess).
It definitely doesn't have a medicine-like after taste like some people complained about for the first day or two with the cherry Torrent, but I think this flavor will be better once I get more used to it. I'll post my reaction again tomorrow.

Oh, and I had no problems mixing it.
Mr Totality: Do you have a shaker bottle? I ask because my shaker bottle mixes it up real quick and easily.

Ok, so here's the deal:
used a serving (3 scoops) immeadiately post-workout today (chest & abs) and this was my first experience ever using Torrent. Today is 27 days out from my show, and there is not much flavor in my diet...but let me say this, the taste of this drink kicks ass. I already bought a 6lb jug of the cherry berry blast, which I have yet to try, so I will not be able to do a comparison as of yet, but I love this flavor...reminds me of the "warhead" candies I used to eat as a child (sour & sweet). J-Dawg...I highly recommend this flavor! 2 thumbs up. great mixibility too btw when mixed w/ approx. 20oz cold water & a shaker bottle.

Today was my second day using the new flavor. Yesterday I thought it was good, but not spectacular, and today I liked it a little more.

I don't if it was because I was particularly drained after lifting today (I fucking destroyed my legs - in a good way though) but it felt so good to slam that Torrent. This flavor is intense, so I think it's especially good when you are really wiped out.

For those of us who like to use Torrent while training, I think this flavor would be great for that, but I haven't done it myself with the new flavor.

The new flavor for Torrent is great. Just finished my first shake and I must say without a doubt, the boys in the Universal Lab have done it again. Another quality addition and myself being a bit skeptical at first about what they would try to come up with but they nailed it. Easy to mix, great taste, little but pleasant aftertaste this things a homerun.

Once the flavor is revealed I will post a more in depth review.

I tried this stuff last night after I got back from the Arnold...I couldn't wait to go lifting, I wanted to see what it tasted like right away. I hafta say I was a little bit skeptical when I saw what the flavor was, but from the one taste I had it tasted pretty good to me. Almost seemed to be a bit "lighter" and yet more intense than the cherry-berry, if that makes sense. So far so good though, I think I would definitely switch this flavor up with the regular stuff for sure. I will post more with my subsequent tastings...

The Flavor Name

I was turned off when I read what the flavor is. I normally don't like the flavor that is assigned to the beta product, so I was skeptical going in.

The Smell

First impression "It kind of stinks" - seriously. It smelled like a typical protein powder but kind of dingy, and I didn't really smell what the flavor indicated it was. Not a huge deal, but worth pointing out regardless.

Solubility

"Oh great, this stuff isn't gonna mix like it should." But it did, and it goes down ultra smooth, no grit, no grainy stuff at the bottom like other products I've had before.

Taste

Holy shit was I surprised. It has a fantastic bite to it that wakes you up (like another poster mentioned) and I found myself guzzling it. It's got a great refreshing bite, but it's still smooth to drink, and there isn't a heavy aftertaste to it either. I gotta say though, knowing the name of the flavor I would not have purchased it unless that was my only choice, so I was happy that it tasted so good.

Overall

I'd like to point out that I approached this first taste test with a critical mindset. I didn't go into this like a fanboy praising all Universal products, I just don't do that. So when this thing surprised me like it did it was totally genuine. Now my only problem is that I wanna buy this shit regularly; it'll be depressing when the test tub runs out.

I haven't tried the other Torrent flavor, so I can't compare the two, but I'm really enjoying this test flavor, I personally think the flavor *should* go to market, I know other people will like it as much as I have.

Universal did a damn good job with this flavor though, since in general it is not one of my favs, but I still think the Torrent tastes pretty damn good.

Guys, this new flavor is really incredible. I know we can reveal the flavor and I really don't want to give any hints or anything, but I will say that the flavor tastes just like the same flavor of my favorite lolipop. It was so good that I couldn't even enjoy the current sip, because I was looking forward so much to my next sip. I mixed with 24 oz., as I had heard that most people lean towards the higher sie on the water with Torrent. I don't think 24 was necessary. Next time I will try 20. I didn't get sick of it at all, right down to the last sip. Awesome job guys!

just started sippin on the new stuff. honestly, this shit is the bomb. i haven't had a post workout drink in a while and i remember before they would be really heavy and you'd feel like a nap afterwards. while drinking the new torrent i felt refreshed, re-energized after my kick ass workout, and i feel the "swell" that i have heard of, holy shit.

awesome new product. i felt so honored to test it and i feel that it is a great new product and will be generally accepted by previous and new torrent users.

im sure tomorrows will be even better. i mixed it today with 20oz of room temp water so i think tomorrow ill go with ice cold, see if it tastes any better. mixed great, tastes great. no complaints here.

First round was last night.... The taste is right on no questions asked.... To me, it doesn't have the tart flavor you get with the cherry but it goes down just as smooth as can be.... No issues with mixing either in the shaker.

This new flavor would be good, but I don't feel that "refreshing" flavor as I do with cherry berry blast one. I think the cherry is a little stronger and I can just feel it rushing thru my body and refreshing me...I think if there could be some kind of addition to it to "spice" it up kind of it would be a little more 'refreshing"...something a little more exotic would do it, don't get me wrong I love this flavor, but for some reason it just feels a little "plain" if you know what i mean, for a post-workout shake...I'll see how I feel on the next serving...that's it for now.

I'm blown away that it tastes plain to you...seriously...you're sure there's nothing wrong with your sample right? I mean...given what the flavor is and how it tastes to me...I just can't fathom how it *doesn't* blast your taste buds.

Sometimes I'll get heartburn toward the end or after my workout and I suspected that the new Torrent flavor might sort of amplify that. For some reason certain flavors (regardless of actual acid content) trigger this in me, but the new beta flavor did not which surprised me.

Other than that, nothing else to add, I love the stuff, but now I'm curious as to how I'm going to feel after a week of using it...am I going to feel better, experience greater recovery, etc...but that's outside the scope of the point of this thread.

Still tastes great.

Today was my last day *sniff sniff* of beta torrent. There was actually a small amount left over so I opened up the 6lb jug of cherry berry I bought and dumped in the remainder of the new flavor. So Sat. when I use Cherry Berry for the first time, it'll actually be a mix of mostly cherry w/ a hint of the beta flavor. I'll let you know how that is. Today was my last day *sniff sniff* of beta torrent. There was actually a small amount left over so I opened up the 6lb jug of cherry berry I bought and dumped in the remainder of the new flavor. So Sat. when I use Cherry Berry for the first time, it'll actually be a mix of mostly cherry w/ a hint of the beta flavor. I'll let you know how that is. Then Sunday will be my first experience w/ the Cherry alone.

You know, I bet this whole "beta test" was just a big ploy to up Torrent sales. ;)

Seriously though, I hope the new flavor goes to market, I really like it.

Finally got my sample in the mail the other day and I've tried it twice now. Honestly, I really do like it.

The first time I tried it I wasn't sold 100% on it because it's quite a bit different from the existing cherry flavor, which I really like. Now, though, I think it's right on par with the cherry and I'll be switching off between the two to mix things up. Excellent job Universal!

3rd round tonight.... Just as smooth and easy goin' down. The taste is definitely spot on, no question.... I don't do anything fancy with mine. I drop 3 scoops in the shaker, take it with me to the gym, when I'm done liftin' I add water, and down she goes.... It just refuses to fail.

This is a win-win situation.... Another great flavor and a product the delivers, as promised, every damn time!

Let me say i have no tried the cherry flavor of torrent, but this stuff was pretty good imo. It was sweet and tasty. It tasted better than any normal chocolate protein shake ive ever had for pwo.
Yeah it smelt pretty bad, but who cares about how it smells.
We only care about how it goes down and if does the job right?
I probly dont have enough servings to tell if its helping me gain size or anything but what ive heard from other im not suprised it would in the long run. Animal/Universal products are the only ones I really trust.
But it mixed fine, I went with 18oz of water for my first serving, and had no problems. It went down smooth.
Never had anything that tasted like this, it was good and different. My only complaint I guess if you want to call it one is make it sweeter?
Im pretty sure this isnt giving anything away, but maybe make it in this flavor but put the word sour in front of it?? If it was sour _____________ that would be great. Maybe that would give it what I feel it needs.
But we'll see if it grows on me as I finish off the rest of these servings.
I would not hesitate to buy it if I was bulking and had some extra money in the wallet.

I just tried my first Torrent ever yesterday after my workout. This flavor is great. It mixes well, tastes like candy and IMO it is refreshing after a workout. I added room temperature water to see if it mixes well and how it tastes. I will be getting my second shot today with ice cold water to see if it makes a difference. I love the flavor and I think I haven't seen or tasted this flavor before in any other supplement. If cherry is as good as this, Torrent is great then. THE FLAVOR LEFT ME SALIVATING FOR MORE.

I got mine in yesterday. I had my first round of it last night. got some pics of me testing it. get them up eventually.

My first thoughts when reading the letter from J-Dawg, holy shit, is that really the flavor i'm seeing. Opened up the can, smelled like it, looked like. The instructions didn't say how much H20 for my 3 scoops, so i put 28oz. it tasted great. a little light on the flavoring, probably because of my excess H20. nothing too strong, sour, sweet, bitter. I think they did the flavor justice. I will admit, at first i was a bit skeptical seeing that flavor, but Universal has done it. Made me a believer. I could definately see this as a contender next to its counterpart. I did notice a little difficulty in mixing, but not too much. Again, i wasn't using the best mixer cup, as you'll see, so that could contribute to that. Overall I give the new flavor a A- for my first go round. I'm about to go hit up some chesticles. and i will give another review for my 2nd go round/

Well today had my second serving after the most brutal leg day ever...Mixed 3 scoops with cold 20oz water..and damn, this shit is awesome. Kevin brings up a good point. My first serving of the new flavor was taken with moderately cold water and the taste was kind of a shock at first. When I mixed it with a larger amount of water that was pretty cold, it tasted much better. I've never tried the cherry flavor so I really don't have anything to compare it to. I've never had any type of drink or shake with this flavor either. Overall the flavor is good and Torrent itself is awesome. I feel better after my workouts and Torrent is going to become a must in my supplement arsenal.

I did my 3rd last night. I used 20 oz of fridge-cold water and i still ran into the mixing problem. which imo is the only slight drawback so far. Otherwise, the cold makes it more "candy-like" and even better. this stuff is amazing, and since i can't use it on my up coming cut, next bulk cycle, I will ensure this is in my arsenal.

I had my 4th serving after back day and the 5th serving after shoulder day. I have to say this flavor is just like candy and really refreshes you after a grueling workout. Cold water and about 20 oz seem to be the best way to get the full flavor and be able to mix it without a hassle. I loved the flavor and it has been one of the best flavors, if not the best, I have ever tasted (compated to other flavors and products). UNIVERSAL gets a 10/10 for coming up with this and shouldn't hold this flavor any longer. SEND IT TO PRODUCTION. Thanks Universal for allowing to test this new flavor.

After having both the Cherry and the new beta flavor, I still favor the beta flavor. The cherry berry blast Torrent is good, but really strong (I added more water to dilute it a bit), whereas the beta flavor is perfect for me.

Oh man! It's been a busy morning. I got to try my first serving of this last night.

I have to admit, I was surprised to see what the flavor was. other companies have made shakes and related workout drinks with similar flavors and to be honest, although I think they are OK they are not my favorite.

This one however is a little different variation of that flavor and I was taken back by a few things that I cannot comment on without giving away what it is.

Let me sum it up by saying that after first taste, I'd buy it. I'll still by the original too. I am at a spot that I am not sure which is better yet. We'll see over the next few servings. Next one is tomorrow.

For sure, it is more mild than the current Cherry Berry Blast. I enjoyed it and will be buying some for sure if this is what you guys go with.

I was thinking of several other flavors that I though it might be before this arrived and this flavor was not one of the ones I thought they would do.

Well my second serving went down after dead lifts last night and my third went down this morning. I have started to follow Tiny's Torrent loading protocol so I used this beta flavor this AM for that.

After 3 servers I can say for sure I like this stuff. It is for sure a lot smoother than the Chery Berry blast. Not as tart or strong. I am going to say, almost creamy... very nice work guys. I have two servings left but can tell ya right now I'm ready to buy this stuff. Open the gate and let it out man!

No, it's not as sweet in my opinion, which is a good thing. I was using around 20-25 oz. Yeah, I have issues with the Cherry flavor still being too sweet, so after I drink some of it down, I add more water to dilute the taste a bit.

holy shit, i love this new flavor. as soon as i got my beta test kit in the mail and read the flavor, i knew i was gonna love it. it's literally my favorite flavor of anything in the world. when i finished my workout tonight and tried it, i thought i was drinking a liquid jolly rancher or blowpop. it was, to quote Peter Griffin, "freakin sweet!"

Me personally I love the new flavor. It was delcious. No matter which flavor, Torrent is one of the best tasting products I have ever had. Mixes easily and what I especially love is that it doesn't give you that bloated feeling after you drink it.

My 4th server was same as the others. My last serving goes down tonight after legs. It is for sure much more mild than the CBB but it is completely diff in taste to so that is irrelevant IMO. Still sweet, smooth and I am sticking to creamy now that I have had my forth serving. th stuff is actually a little creamy. Very good. I like them both, I find the beta flavor easier to put down. The CBB I use 25+ oz of water. I used 22 to 24 oz with the beta and that is plenty.

Good stuff guys, gets my vote.

That said, my last serving went down last night after legs. Each serving got progressively better. the first was good, the second was really good and so on. I'm convinced now that this flavor will be my new favorite and I just ordered a 5 lb tub of CBB :) One can never have too much Torrent.
