simple.
instead iof the normal 10 rep squat weight done for 20 reps as long as it taske do your 5 rep max squat for 10 reps as long as it takes.
i use a spotter to help me get more forced reps out.

I'm sorry but I didn't understand a word of that... Maybe you can take another shot at explaining it.

He meant to do your normal 5 rep max for 10 forced, hard reps instead of 10 reps for 20. I didn't think his statement was that hard to understand. If you are really using a weight that is a true 5 rep max this is going to be harder because it will be a much heavier weight bearing down on you.

Im curious to know that if you went from the original 20 rep squats, to your 10 reps program, have you went back to the 20 rep program and found that you could use more weight?

sorry, typo's. its really hard to type after coming bak from leg day. my hands are all shacky.
so, instead of doing 10 rep max for 20 reps, you do your 5 rep max for 10 reps. you take as many breaths to reach 10 reps inbetween reps to reach the 10 rep mark.

ohh ya, waay harder. thats why i use a spotter because i cant complete the reps on my own. but, i love them.

well, i have only done the 20 rep program like 3 times and i have switched to a more powerlifter style of squat routine.
i did my version 2 weeks ago and my 5 rep max went up to a 6 rep max this week for 3 straight sets.

There's a misunderstanding that must be clarified for those that will read the post and it take it literally.
DO NOT try to achieve 20 reps with a weight you can do 10 with - it's too large of a jump. The situation is similar to 'experts' saying, "just add five pounds a week to your lift;" this, too, is a fallacy. The body reaches a point where it simply cannot lift the weight, a plateau if you will.
Instead, do 20 reps with a weight you previosuly banged out ~18 with, leaving the mind, not the body, with the task of getting you those 2 extra reps.
Just making sure ya'll understand me.. I'm sure most of you do.
