Today I lifted in the morning about 10 AM and I usually lift around 4PM or so. All I had before my workout was a whey protein shake, banana and multivitamin. I'm usually able to get 215 up pretty easily and I couldn't get it up today. My legs are still extremely sore, could that have anything to do with it or do you think it is just because I lifted so early in the morning?

a banana and a shake is what I'd call a snak

you trained at 10am than you should've got up somewhere at 8 and eat a huge ass breakfast

also, how much rest did you get during the night ?

Slept plenty, ~9 hours. But I woke up at 9 and left at 10:40 not leaving me very much time to eat and get ready to lift.

Switching from training in the evening to training in the morning can do that to you if your not used to it. However, I see it just as if you were changing exercises.


Or, it could have just been one of those days where the spirit was willing but the body said hell no.

I'd say it's probably just that you're not use to training at 10 am. I train at 7 am, and only eat some oatmeal when I wake up, and go. I'm fine with that now, but it took a lot of adjusting to feel at my strongest that early in the morning. Now I'd have it no other way.

I think you meant 9.40

anyway, next time make sure you get up at least 30 min earlier and have a good breakfast

seems to me that you went to sleep at midnight... if your schedule allows it, go to sleep earlier

when sleeping, the gh release is at its peak during hours 10 and 12

yeah I'm stronger when I go to bed earlier typically I just like staying up late, guess I just gotta get to bed earlier and eat more before I lift, thanks guys.
