I will be there. Spoke to the folks at the Hyatt, they show being booked solid but I will sleep wherever I need just so I can be there.

Yea i'll definately make the trek again. Tho the idea of somewhere nearer the expo and Metro Fitness makes sense. I spent a fortune on taxi's. Ive already checked flights, but none are booking yet. Cant wait.
I'm making plans myself. Theres no way I'm missing out next year.

We stayed about 10-15 mniutes out, straight off of I-70. Room was about $92 a night with taxes. Simple, clean, and effective. Plus, there was a Perkins open 24 hours right across our parking lot, and a 24 hour Meijer next door, not to mention all the other stuff on Rome-Hilliard Road. With parking for the Expo only costing a few bucks/day, it worked out well for us.

Saying that, for $200 a night between 4 of us, we had internet, a mini gym, a pool, good breakfast, nice rooms with big plasma tv's. There was a 24hr wal mart and 2 gas stations next to it. It was a sweet hotel. 'The Hampton Inn & Suites' Easton area, coulumbus.

It's nuts how fast this thread is taking off, we are talking next year. It just shows the loyalty of Universal customers. I know I'm not missing it no matter what next year. I can't believe I missed it this year...not happening again.

I didnt get the lil maid behind the counter, the manager was the one i got stuck talking with. He didn't ok us just walking in. NExt year i will know better.

Can't wait for this. I start my new job soon, and am putting half of all my pay checks aside for a weekend almost a year away. Am not running out of money in two days again.
Anyone stay right near the Convention Center this past year? I'm looking for a place nice and close for next year. I wanted to stay at the Hyatt, I looked for the last weekend in Feb. and there were rooms, but now that I know it's the 6th-8th of March, They're already booked.
Any other pretty nice places right there? I remember a Suites place next door, but can't remember the name. I'm not looking to shell out like 500 bucks a night, but something fairly nice. ~200-250 a night.

I'm making my plans now. Missed it this year though. Just moved to VA, started new job and couldn't get time off. Will NOT miss next year though!
Just reserved a room at the Marriot Residence Inn, in downtown Columbus for next years Arnold. I know it's a while away, but I'm pumped about it already.
This place has a full kitchen in the room. Stove, fridge, DISHWASHER. It's even got a Grocery shopping service, haha. That's what I'm talking about.
Rates are very reasonable too, considering all the perks.
Grant, you even have a sofa bed to sleep on this time. lol Assuming you're gonna go.

I hit that one up twice while I was there (while we were lifting)... I didn't realize how close it was in proximity until like Saturday night when BAMBAM92 and I walked to Mongolian BQ and then to Max & Erma's and all we did was pretty much walk in a circle...lol I SERIOUSLY need to go to Columbus more often....lol
I thought for SURE I'd have a ticket Sunday because I parked in a place that wasn't even a parking place... whew...lol AND, it COULD'VE been WORSE, Sarah almost got my picked up for littering... She THOUGHT it would be okay to ditch her APPLE out the window because it's FOOD... She didn't think you'd get in trouble.... LMAO...

That parking Garage was good...I used it Fri-Sat. Uhm, if oyu r looking for a place dowtown...there is a Hampton Inn and Suites beside the convention center, a Radison, Red Roof Inn, Marriot, Courtyard....I think a few more within a mile or less.
Can't wait for next year. Josh, i talked to my recruiter, and i should have my sign on bonus, so the room is on me. We will stay close to the event if it all comes through, dont feel like driving back and forth next year.

Living in Cbus helps the chances for this guy. Ok who am I kidding Ill be there. No party this year like last though for the UFC fight, I wanna hit the ABC instead. I missed it this yr cuz I had people from all over OH in town for the fight and needed to entertain, but never again.

anyone know how much tickets are and all that business? do you have to buy tickets for each show? does it change from year to year?
Tickets are 10 bucks a pop. Cage only accepts greenbacks, and no plastic.
I am offically hooked up for the next year. My room is reserved, next to MetroFitness, and has a full kitchen, and walking distance from the Expo Center. Two beds, nice location, and guess what? I am only dropping 40 bucks a night! Room mate will cover the other 40 bucks a night. so, 80 bucks a night and can reserve 9 months ahead. It should be a blast.

I drove it last year from Connecticut. It was about 10 hours. Wasn't too bad a drive, but I'll be flying this year. lol
