got a quick questions about tendons, joints....this is how my week went for lifting..
Monday was chest...went great
Tuesday was arms...HOLY SHIT my elbows hurt...like bad tendonitis. I coundt even finish all my sets it burned so bad in both elbows
Wed Was legs. While the pain came back strong ( I guess I was straining my arms squating), I could atleast finish my WO
Thurs was off day
Today I did back. Heavy deads. While the pain didnt really come back, I could feel it doing deads. I was going heavy straining my grip of course.
You guys know anything I can or should be doing for what I assume is bad tendonitus?
Have you ever had joint pain or did this just come up? I had some knee trouble and when I take Flex, it helps a lot. You should probably see a doc if it gets worse/ doesn't get better. You may wanna see one anyway to find out the problem. Hope it gets better.

I just ordered some Rehband elbow sleeves from APT because I have the same issue - only mine has been lingering for a few months. I just got them yesterday and haven't had a chance to use them yet other than trying them on and doing a few push-ups. They seem to do the trick so far, but the real test will be in the gym. Here's a thread I started that may help point you in the right direction:

As stated above, you may also want to try Flex. It really is good stuff. However, it doesn't give you instant support. It takes a little while for it to kick in. In the meantime, try the sleeves.

Had the same problem in my left elbow a few months ago. I was already taking Flex, but I will say the sleeve helped alot. It takes time and you have to modify your workouts so as not to irritate it to much.
Good luck!

I use Flex, wear some elbow bands (for warmth and some pressure) and I think drinking water (more water?) helps to flush out toxins and keep joints lubed up.

I would give it a couple days off where you dont even use the arm at all. and ice the hell out of it. Just because it doesnt hurt while you lifting doesnt mean its not effecting it. hope this helps.

Rest and ice are your best bet for a few days. The warrior in us always wants to push through but it's better to take a few days off to heal rather than make the injury worse.

What a coincidence, just last week while doing a set of skull crushers, my elbows started to hurt real bad. Now its affecting most of my damn workouts; chest, shoulders and triceps are where i feel it most. Iv started taking some fish oils and glucosamine just until i get enough money for some flex. Will wearing arm bands mean im not naturally building up strength in my elbows and so when i take them off, my elbows will be weaker? I really hope it doesn't become something that restricts me.. I'm not sure however what the problem actually is. Iv heard with tendonitis, the pain travels down the forearm a bit? With mine, its just the pain is in the elbow itself only (the little round ball)..

Elbow sleeves or bands should not improve your lifts. They are there to hold your elbow together and keep it warm, not for assistance. Elbow wraps assist with lifts.
As for your situation, I'm not exacly sure what to tell you. Tenonitis can 'travel' down the forearm, up into the bicep, or both. Your tendons may be inflamed just around that particular area.
I used to have it bad in the tendons in my forearm and in my right biceps. I discovered the elbow sleeves and knee bands, and my joints and tendons don't bother me at all even after the heaviest workouts. Make sure you get proper sizing so you don't cut off circulation.

some of these things get expensive. the rehbands are $30 each....I need 2. APT has there own bands for $23 a pair. Inzers are expensive too. Any insite on the prices?
Like what others mentioned, Flex should help. Do you ice your aching joints, tendons after exercise? The imflamation caused by training would deepen the pain and aches in your joints and tendons... try some ice baths and always ice for at least 30 minutes... that's what I'm doing for my wrists everyday and they don't ache as much....
