to put on 10-20 in a month is impressive (assuming its not mostly fat/water) especially for a hardgainer.
eat like 4-5K cals a day, good calories though, and lift heavy, sleep a lot, etc.
use the search function, theres a ton of good stuff on here :D

You do realize that you want to gain 2.5 lbs a week.
All I have to say is eat a lot of food and lift heavy. Dont do any cardio. My goal is to gain 10 lbs of muscle a year. You want to do that in a month. Why dont you pace yourself...what is the rush?
If you try to gain a lot of weight to fast it will mostly be fat unless your a genetically gifted dude from the sound of it...you said your a hard gainer so I doubt it.
Train what you want to look like 5 years from now...not one month. So my advice is to take it slow, eat right, and lift smart. Dont rush it.

10 pounds of solid muscle in one month isn't even possible with anabolics. If you do put on 10 pounds it will be the weight of the extra fecal matter stored in your colon/intestines and intramuscular water retention. Why the short time frame?
Eat more and lessen the amount of energy you burn. This means no cardio and no high volume routines. Train 4 days per week max. Oh, and... eat more.
Buddy if you find a way to put on 10 to 20 pounds of muscle in one month, you make sure you post that up. Make my life much easier too.

exactly, it is humanly impossible.
Good luck though! haha.

I do not want to sound like an ass, but I don't think its possible to throw down that kind of weight down for a hardgainer... I personally have done about 10 pounds in 1 month but not all of it being as lean as possible...
Ultimately, these things take time... I think you would have to increase your caloric intake slowly over the span of a few months to the point where you body can use the extra calories to put on as lean mass. Where as if you try and eat everything insight you will put up large bf numbers like Pokoritel has indicated...
there are tons of dieting plans on this website for hardgainers... but the underlying premises remain the same... eat clean... eat a lot... rest and use intensity while training.

If Five Total Years of Intense Training hasnt taught you about the Diet and Nutrition of the Sport, and how to Gradually Increase to your desired Weight over time, then I wouldn't Expect some "Quick magical fix" from an Internet Site Either. Post, your Average Diet and Nutrition, also your Average Workout Routine and Daily Schedule, and then, we might be able to help you.
do this:
monday bench , squat, behind neck press 6x6
wednesday incline bench , squat , deads 6x6
friday dips 1X8 , squat 3 warmups 1 X20 reps, underhand chins 1 sets of 8 reps slowly
and eat everything and anything
Its all about diet, training is the easy part.

I'm with Maharg on this one!
I have been trianing like a mad man and eating everything in site for a month. I'm at 4700 to 5000 cals a day. My waist has shrunk and all my measurements have gone up even weight. I gain fairly easily, but store some fat too, this time I have it pretty well dialed in (note the waist decrease) and I have only managed to add about 4.5 pounds or so! Why the hurry? This sport is a marathon, of blood, sweat, pain, food, and rest.
Good luck with it bro! Eat clean, eat a ton, sleep a lot and see what happens. Whatever you do post up some results so we can see whats going on. Remember you have to shit big to get big!
Best of luck
Broc
One month? hardgainer? If you put on 10 pounds, let alone more, you're gonna see a big difference in your physique that you're not gonna like.
Why exactly are you trying to put on a shitload of weight quickly?
10 pounds of muscle in a year is a good gain as long as its all muscle.

Guys believe me I know that what I originally posted was a little misleading... My bodytype being what it is and my years of training in the gym I realize that there are no secrets to putting on weight so let me explain a little more about what I am looking at right now I am not taking any supplements and weigh in around 170lb I have been as heavy as 190lb my weight constantly fluctuates between 165-180lb depending basically on how much water I am drinking how much protein I am taking (1 or 3 shakes per day) and just how much food I am eating in a given week.
Bascially, I already know that I can probably get my weight back up to 180lb and yes I do realize that it will not be solid muscle, but I could care less about that because when I am heaver I have a lot more energy to hit the weights. I guess I posted to mostly to hold me accountable to force myself to do the things that I know I must do in order to get my weight back to about 180lb which is start hitting the supps again and eating/drinking everything in sight. I will update my progress as I try to reach 180lb by May 14th.
Just a sidenote I am 24yrs old now when I was jr/sr in high school I weighed a 105 soaking wet.

Like I joked in a previous thread, the only way to add that much weight in so little time is to slip a ten-or twenty-pound-plate in your pants before weighing in.
I can only see a kid who is severly underweight to begin with putting on a FEW pounds over two months' time.
Wrath called it the Journey for a reason, not the express route.
Keep your chin up though..

Dude, a 5-10lbs fluc is normal for weight, but when you are varying 15lbs over a week, i can promise you that you will still have a rough time getting up to 180 and keeping it muscle. As in Miracle movie worthy if you do it.

I recently finished up a bulk where I gained 30 pounds in seven weeks. I went from 195 to 225. Started at about 8% bodyfat, ended up about 12%... All measurements increased significantly except my waist. The waist grew, but not outrageously. Waist went from 31 to 34. Now it's back at 32 at 220...
Here's the secret: eat a shit ton of food and lift motherfuckin' heavy. I was takin' down eight to ten thousand quality calories a day and lifting seven days a week. I did cut out the cardio completely for those seven weeks. Supp's consisted of Pak, Flex, Real Gains, Pump, Torrent, EAA stack, and ZMA. There were other specific variables, but those are the main points...
I don't necessarily advocate this for most people, I'm just saying that anything is possible. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do something. If you want it bad enough, you'll find a way. If you don't want to use me as an example, Machine put on damn near 100 pounds in a year; yes, he admitted himself that alot of it was fat, but it served as a base in that case. It's alot easier to refine your larger physique once you've gained the weight, than it is to gradually get to the same size slowly, making sure that you only gain muscle mass. Depends on your goals and what you're gaining the weight for as to whether the fat gain is worth it in the long run...
That being said, that was 100 pounds. I think that if someone knows their shit, they can put on 20 pounds of mostly quality mass in a relatively short amount of time.
Depends on how bad you want it...
It always depends on how bad you want it...

I never went from 190-165 in a week that has been over the course of months and or most of a year in when I went from 170-190 then I had a girl friend and was out of the gym and lost some of those gains... The most I have seen my weight change in a month is probably 10 pounds...but I still think I can hit 180...I guess we'll find out how hard I am willing to work to get there.

I have to comment on this being a hardgainer myself. I am not too sure how old your are but it will get easier as your metabolism starts to slow down with age. I put on around 25 in 4 months but those aren't numbers I could keep up indefinetely. I have basicly been starving myself for the past 8 years or so and that was a product of finally getting understanding that I was. You will have to dirty bulk in a lot of ways. Just don't eat shit. Make sure it has nutritional value. Fries, candy other bullshit will do nothing productive for you. 10 lbs a month is very possible. Notice he didn't say muscle just 10 lbs. I wouldn't worry about the number because all you should be doing is eating. If you reply to this your should be eating and getting crumbs on your keyboard. This should be your mentality. M-stack would be good to help partician those cals to more lean muscle but it won't do a miracle. ALWAYS have a RG shake or other meal replacement before bed. Keep all of your workouts short and to the point and freakin intense. That way you keep calories burned to a minimum. You have to stay consistant with your diet and eating. These are my experiences. When I first started bulking I was spending a lot of time in the bathroom. Your body has to have time to adapt to all of that extra food. So from then beginning I wasn't putting on that much. But as a month or so progressed the weight starting packing on and my digestive system was working as normal. YOU HAVE TO BE CONSISTANT. Your body fat will raise and drop and raise again. Don't let it discourage you. As you start packing on more lean muscle you will lean up. Just keep that in mind and start increasing those calories yet again. Just don't let it get out of control. Hope that helps.

I somewhat doubt 22 lb of lean muscle in 10 weeks is possible even with other methods, but hey props to you
A few years ago I gained 30 pounds in the 6 or so weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but I guarantee most of it was NOT muscle.
Still, I looked bigger. Haha.
Also, in the last 6 months, I've gained 40 pounds. A lot of it is muscle, but a lot of it not.
So it's certainly possible to put on that much weight in a short period of time, but most of that will not be muscle mass.

check my journey i got pics but check the first part of it cause the last part is about my rowing training

Many of you our Saying its Easy for someone to Actually, Gain somewhat any lean muscle mass, with a 3-5 pound gain in overall body mass every week. Near Impossible. I was gaining, around 2 SOLID lbs a week, knocking off Two 1000 Calorie shakes, 2-3Lbs of Steak/Ground Beef, and enough potato's to feed the Irish during the potato famine, every day and I wasnt even gaining that easily during my bulk season. What your saying could be possible, if assisted, but thats another topic for another board. Play your cards right, and remember bro's, you have the rest of your life to train and be an animal. I know its America and Everyone like's to think its about them, and its about them wanting everything now, quick and pain free But Take a step back, and slow it down brothers in Iron. Take time to enjoy the work you put into your body, and let it reflect out. Peace.

Just eat everything and sight and don't move for the whole month. No weights, no cardio, just laying down and eating. That's the only way you can gain that much weight.
