what is the corelation between weight training and reflexes.... ive noticed esp. here lately that im relfexes and reaction times have improved dramatically such as when things are about to fall off of the counter... ability to catch flyes lol.... uhh and just all around ability to rrespond faster to things throughout the day. so the question is how does weight training improve reaction or is it just something that ive just noticed lately?

I have no idea (bad way to start an answer, i know) but my guess would be that it would have to do with the mind-muscle connection. In the gym, when you first start out your flopping all over the place with no stability and your mind gets slower after the workout, but once you've gone at it for a while, you become much steadier and it takes more and more to fatigue your mind as much as your muscles. It would make sense that now that you've had some experience your mind sees and muscles react faster and more in sync with each other because they have been working together to such an intense degree from working out. Does that make sense to anybody?

This thread nails it on the head. I feel like I'm on the top of physical game after being in the gym for so long now. My fuse might be a little bit shorter in traffic after a workout, but my reaction time is a benefit..
