Ha I can answer this question REALLY well... I am on 2 a days... This is my 3rd year doing it... I actually just started last week... Cardio in mornings and Weights at night...
Starting up the cardio again I do anywhere from 30 - 60 minutes of cardio.. varying it from different types right in the morning...
This is where it varies from person to person... but through trial and error I can tell you... You generally need at least 3 solid meals in that span... so anywhere from 6 - 8 hours... more if possible... but I am under time restrains also. Less than 6 hours and I wouldn't attempt to lift because the top end of your endurance and strength will probably not be there...

I guess the obvious answer would be everyone's different in their recovery time. My best advice would be cardio then your first meal, digest, then lift if that's the best way for you in your schedule. I think as long as you can get some quality food in between the cardio and weights you should be fine.

x2.. everyones different not one person recovers the same amount as another it just depends on ur body and the action preformed. abviously if you did quads in the morning then about two hours later you decided to go on a run of course u wouldn't havee had enough time to recover but cardio in the morning depending on the intensity then training llater is enough time to recover as long as your eating enough calories and get atleast a couple hours in between.. and i say at least

I would say to get the most out of your lifts you need to wait at least till after lunch, so like 3 meals in between, lots of fluids too, obviously. I never do cardio on leg days because it ruins it for me, haha. Everyone is different though, just find what works for you.
It also depends on how much energy you are burning doing the cardio. One of the reasons you want to wait is so that you can replenish your glycogen stores (as scals said, disgest a meal.)
If you are doing long slow cardio for an hour or so and not going into glycogen debt then you could hit the weights sooner.

i would say after 2 nutritonal meals you should be ready to lift. that would be from 4 to 6 hours depending when you eat.

Get in there and bust your ass when you get the chance man. You'll always have time to eat, but not always time to hit the gym. As long as you're getting those calories in and have your macros down you're fine, don't overthink this because of some BS a magazine publishes.
