I am 28

Not getting any younger.

Fiance, and 5 year old son.

Recently, we started going to the gym. First it was to just lose weight, and get in better overall physical condition. I would do some light weights, but nothing major. I started watching some of the guys in the gym. Seeing the weight they are pushing. How built and defined they are. It was like a switch got flipped in my head. I didnt want to be a huge built guy per say, but it was like this hidden passion for weight lifting was uncovered.

When I am at work, all I can think about is getting to the gym. I have started to see the weight drop from being there, and its self inspiring. I have gotten my diet in check, and most important I am getting at least 8 hours of sleep a night to let my body rest.

I guess what I am wanting, or the reason for this post, is maybe some ideas of how I can totally harness this gym obsession.

I read a post earlier about one of the members on this forum and how he has pretty much a religious experience. Its maybe not that intense for me, but I can honestly say when I am working out, its like an out of body experience. Its unlike anything I have had happen to me. I am in love with lifting weights. I dont want to be a power lifter, or a "meat head" but I do want to turn this body into something awesome.

Thanks for all the support on this forum.

Thats cool you developed the passion for the iron brother. I guess as long as it doesnt interfere with your family why do you need to harness it ? let it run wild, and you can teach your son the ANIMAL way. I was lucky enough to find a girl who loves this shit as much as I do. Im sure you get the same support. This probably wasnt much help but, just have fun with it. Later

My fiance is at the gym everyday as well. She still has weight from having Allen, so she wants to lose that and be in good health as well. She tells me she will support me in anything I want!

As a Father of two small kids... & husband.. a active duty navy guy.. & the list never stops.. I'm back to putting that passion in one place... the gym. I dont think about it, I think about the meals, the rest the things that are needed to get back in the gym. BUT i'll let it build like a small burn that by the time the Ipod goes on, my feet hit the floor of the gym its like a beast just went off.

Unless its here this.... this has become my fuel to getting my ass right to my goal.

Nuff Said.
