Just wanted to take the chance to introduce myself. I am pretty new to the game -- 3 months deep and love it. As active as I have been my whole life, I never really spent much time pushing the iron. I met some good guys who have steered me down the road for success. The toughest part for me is not the weight, the reps or the form -- its the food. Damn I love to eat. Its hard to stay focused on the right foods. I am throwing down chicken and rice like its going out of style. To an outsider, they might think I won some top 5 radio challenge and got a lifetime supply of tuna.

My routine is broken down into 6 phases. I am sure anyone who is a reader of popular workout mags will remember this from december issue (ohhhh, sorry no plug for the publisher here) Its broken down into 6 phases -- 3 weeks of heavy weight & low reps (6 on 1 off) and one week of lighter weights & heavy reps (3 gym days w/rest between each)

So far things are going great. I am just finishing week 7 and have already noticed super great results. Everything is up -- bench, deads, squats -- everything. The overall theme for my routine is form. Being new, I don't want to develop bad habbits from the start.

My biggest concern is not with routines or exercises -- its with my food and supplements. I know that if I wanna grow, I gotta eat. Eating isnt going to be a problem, but can I eat to much tuna?

For my supplements, I am taking the simple road. (again no plugs for outsiders...) I am taking a daily BCAA multi-vitamin and a whey protein shake to help my daily totals (1.5 - 2 grams per body weight, morning and post-workout). I'm taking 10g of createne mono.(5 mid morning, and 5 post-workout). I am also taking a pre-workout NO product. I am budget minded and am about at the end of my current product cycle. I am going to go week or so to cycle off and then I am going to try some Universal products -- Pack and Stack 2.

That about does it. Good luck fellas and I'll check back soon.

If it hasn't been said yet, welcome to the boards BT. I'm relatively new to the game myself; I've got about a year and a half in (albeit with time off for injuries).

It looks like you've got a plan and a mission: excellent. Your attention to diet, as someone new to lifting, is very commendable; it is certainly the deal maker (or breaker) of a successful regimen.

Regarding tuna: when I started, I downed it constantly, but eased up after I read the mercury-scare stats on it. I try to limit it to two cans a week, but I'm sure most of the folks here will tell you that it's fine. Just remember, mercury accumulates in your system.

Your supplement regimen looks good as well. I'd recommend getting on the Pak for your multi-vitamin. I never got so much as a cold while I was using it. That said, I would also take extra Vitamin C; it's water soluble and reduces cortisol levels. You can also get away with using just 3-5g of Creatine a day...it'll help you stretch out your supply.

Hope this helps, and I wish you well. There's no feeling like sustaining progress in the world.
