My name is Eric, and I stumbled across this site today. Im from texas, and Im currently enlisted in best Air Force(USA) in the world. I have been in for over 5years and enjoy every bit of it. Along with being in the military comes the fitness part of it. I few months ago I went to the Doc. and was told I had high cholesterol. So I recently made up my mind to start lifting and fine tuning my body. I have been dieting and lifting for almost a month now, and noticed a difference in my muscle tone. I have not been taking supplements, but im considering to start with one of the animal paks soon. I hope to gain some good info here and meet some great folks.

Whats up guys? Im new to this site , but it looks like a helpful place to be a part of. I was a athlete in high school and was in good shape at 185 lbs. I went to college and got the frosh 15 bad. hit 200 lbs and since then have been changing my diet and workout routine. I looked on this site last yr for some advice before joining and it worked out well. I cut down to 170 lbs and now im at a healthy 178lbs in my 2nd yr of college. Im looking to cut down some more since summer hurt me, but I want to bulk up afterwards and develop a bigger chest. Well thanks for reading this, I will be posting updates and what not in the future.

Hi Everyone,

I'm relatively new to the world of Lifting. I was never fit as a child, always dodged PE etc. I've joined gyms, worked out religously for a while and then quit. I'm determined to do it right this time.

I'm going to be following the Body-For-Life program, I know a lot of people don't like it, but it's easy to follow and lays it all out for me, which is the kinda thing I need.

I've taken Pak in the past when working out and always found it helps, so naturally I'm back on the Pak and ready to finally get ripped!

What Up,
I'm Whitfield, about a year ago a buddy of mine asked me to go to the gym with him...I never left. About a month later I found this site and have used it as a source of inspiration. Over the past year I have gained 20 LBS of muscle ( from 160 to 180 ) and a whole lotta strength... Now that I know I belong here I figured it was time to say hello.

Hi Everybody,

Just wanted to say thanks alot for coming to my place on the 20th of June 2009 we have been waiting 20 years for you. twenty years ago you could walk into a gym and find five or six serious bodybuilding people,in the last nineteen years you would be lucky if you found one in 3000 people that took training serious, but that did not stop us we kept the faith and trained like animals and never changed the attitude of the gym hard core, nasty, mean, and if you dont like it stay out. But know the animal pak is born, new gladiatores people who like our hard-ware to train on.We have been waiting and you came. We love you guys. I have forty nine years of hard training programs, diets. All you have to do is ask. Iam not real good with the computer, But Iam a master at makiing muscles.

Greg Long / Mr.Universe

Greg, sorry for the late reply. I just now saw this. It was great coming down to your Nautilus gym again this year. I was there for last year's ABC as well. Good times for sure. Loads of old school, hardcore equipment but you my friend are the best part of it all. We really appreciate your attitude and mindset from your years of experience and it is an honor to be able to come down there and train in your gym and rub shoulders with you.

My boy and I are looking forward to the next one already. Until then...

Well...where to start? My real name is Jason and I've been training off/on for 10+ years. The last couple of years have been a little more serious since I've found training information from Westside. (currently working with a WS4SB template)

I workout at home in the mornings, where I've got a power cage, dumbbells, and some nice homemade workout equipment that keeps me getting stronger.

As to goals...I just want to get strong...My bench finally hit 250 last week (a PR for me, and a long-term goal)...my deadlift is up to 360 as of about a month ago, and my squat is around 275.

Anyways, during the day I'm a computer programmer and at night I'm a husband & father to a 2 year-old girl. (Both of whom I LOVE spending time with)

PEACE!

Jason

Flex is one of the best joint-support compounds I've ever taken -- but it does take about a week for a noticeable difference to show up -- or, at least it did for me. It should really help with all the strain your putting on your joints doing MMA.

It's nice to see another "mature" bodybuilder around here. I'm planning on entering my first show since I was a teenager next July. Sorry about the foul up on drying out.

C'mon over to the Journey's section, and start posting your program, and I'm sure someone will have something helpful to offer -- we have a number of competitors over there.

I'm 33 years, have lifted since I was 18. I wish I could say the same for my diet. I am cleaning that up now though, and when it comes to diet I prefer to go all in. My main goal is to be a freak. I lift to get bigger and stronger nothing else. I don't really compare my strength to others. I only compare to where I was, and how much I have improved. I don't do this for my ego, I really just feel right when I am big.

I don't go to the gym to make new friends, talk sports, watch other guys or girls lift, or anything like that. I am there to see how far I can push myself. It is good to see there is a forum based around lifting and supporting others efforts towards improving. It is not a bunch of borderline porn, senseless comments, etc. Great job to whoever put this forum together!

Hi. I am new, followed the forums for a few months before making an account. Im 16. Yes another aspiring teenage bodybuilder. I got into bodybuilding about a year ago when I was in weight training with my friend. I liked working out so much the thought crossed my mind; "Why not do something with it?". Plus I am addicted to getting the pump in my muscles. So I started my journey to first get in shape by losing about 35lbs of fat, now I am gaining weight the right way.

6'1"
178lbs
13% BF (giv'er take 1-2%)
Dead:255
Bench: 185
Clean:135

I have bad form when I power lift so my numbers are kind of low. I have been working on it. I have the hardest time cleaning. I actually just made 135 yesterday. I have trouble dropping down under the bar. I know I can do alot more, but when it comes time to drop down, I am to slow or freeze. Thats pretty much it. In summery, I can't clean and I am beginning to bulk.

Hey guys my name is Jon LaRue, on a lot of forums out there I go by bacon boy its a nickname I got this winter while bulking eating 6,500+ cals a day! I have bb'ing about a year, I am competing in the NPC Natural Mid States Nov 14th, I follow FST-7 training and have had crazy progress from the diet Hany suggests and the training plan I will post a log on here showing it!

I live in STL looking to join the ABC ASAP!!!

Hey Brothers!
I found this site after I ordered my last can of Animal pak and they sent me a training log. Seems pretty hard core here. It will be good to have poeple who relate to what I do and why I do it. Lord knows I need all the help and insperation I can get!
Freinds and family think I'm a little obsessed with the weights and the food and the sups but maybe here I can get a little more support.
I started lifting when I was about 18 or 19 and a friend asked how much I could bench. I totally embarrassed myself when I couldn't do shit. So I bought myself one of those weight sets with concrete filled plates and went to town. After about a year or so of lifting I remember my brother introducing me to someone as his little brother and they just laughed. I out weighed him by at least 50 lbs and had freakin huge arms.
Well now I am 46 and missed out on 30 years worth of training because I got lost in life. But I'm fucking back now and by God I'm not going to EVER let that happen again!! If poeple think I'm obsessed or they look at me funny because of what I'm eating they can kiss my ass. Someone is gonna have to pry my cold lifeless fingers from the bar...and I know you know what I mean.
I don't know how much I have to offer but I am hungry for more info and inspiration. I'm looking forward to my journey with all of you. Thanks for having me.

Hey fellas. Just joined and wanted to say hey.

Name is Doug from the Charlotte, NC area. I just started training 4 months ago. Like a bunch of other guys I lifted when I was younger and then life got in the way. I got fat, I got soft and I got weak. I am now going to get LEGENDARY!

I have lost 50 Lbs. this year and I have about 30 more I want to drop. I am very interested in bulking after that.

Fellas, I have lurked about on here for a while and can't begin to tell you the motivation that I get from the men and women on this board.

So Hey,
I'm Doug. I'm gonna be Legendary! I am looking forward to the rest of journey.

Peace.

I'm from San Antonio, TX. I'm big guy who wants to loose about 25-30lbs of fat, and gain as much muscle mass as possible. That's pretty much it. I decided to join "The Forvm" as a form of inspiration and something to keep me motivated as I try my best to "recompose" my body, that and the fact that I was impressed with how I felt and my body reacted to Animal Stak.

All in all, I'm just looking to make some friends and meet some people who like bodybuilding and hitting those weights, to stay motivated and reach my goals.

Altered Beast
08-31-09, 3:42 pm
What up.

The FORVM is a great escape from work by the way.

I've been lifting seriously for about 6 years and am addicted to the Animal supplement line. I even tried others, but went right back to Animal. Hype does not beat raw results and gains. I do not include high school in those six years because I was just powerlifting based on what my football coaches knew and was not serious about nutrition.

My training resembles bodybuilding with plenty of power movements. I push heavy weight reps between 6-14 except I go lower reps with power movements and I'm not at the gym to talk (often listening to Pantera on my ipod). The pro's at the gym think I am crazy because I laugh and smile while I squat 500 pounds 3 or 4 times at 5 in the morning.

I'm 6'0 weighing around 257 with bodyfat between 17-20%.

My family thinks I am nuts for being so obsessive with bodybuilding/food & nutrition. I guess I am not a good little blue blood. I cannot stand country clubs, tennis or any of that other douchey nonsense! Which is why I love bodybuilding. It is a journey that only I alone can conquer and it is lived 24-7. Personally, I just want to prove to myself that no matter where I go in life I will always be freakishly swollen and it will be with me forever. It is way too fun when everywhere I go people stare, and women always look twice with or without their boyfriends.

I am seriously not enjoying working for any of my family oil businesses. My dream is to build my own gym (it will all start with one). My lady supports me thinking it's very entrepreneurial like my fathers before me. I guess she sees that my true passion is not being fulfilled. I am hoping this idea will be accepted by my family (especially my father).

Any support from my fellow animals will help as well and would be greatly appreciated. The winds of change are blowing my life in a new direction and this will take several years to accomplish when I decide to actually pursue. This is my journey, I've seen the signs and I know this is where my destiny lies.

That's a little bit about me, I hope my journey can inspire and not cause any feeling of envy.

This is my aptitude, possibly my vocation and I am relentless in my passionate pursuit.

Hey guy's, name's Thanassis from Perth WA Australia i'm 20, i came across this site about a week ago so i decided to join and learn as much as i can, and hopefully contribute back any knowledge i can. I'm Still sort of a begginner at weight's and such, i got into it about a year ago through a guy i worked with who was really into it himself, so he helped me set up my own home gym in my room and i went from there, but like most people life distracted me from what i set out to do and i stopped for ages, but i'm getting back into the swing of thing's with two of my friend's and this time i'm in it untill the end!!

Hey everyone,
Names Matt - live in Jersey; been a gymnast most of my life until a run in with one too many surgeries; just trying to finish out my junior and senior year in college with the sport but i've been through many diets/training regiments since i was about 13 or so; i'm currently 20. I'm about 5'7" on good days haha and 175 pounds with a little less than 7% body fat. The quotes and posters and magazines inspired the hell out of me especially cause i'm one of the few that lifts heavy on my team. I'm trying to get my phd in physiology after undergrad is done and eventually med school/do research/help out the human race as best possible. Thats me in a nutshell.

Quick rundown on me. I love to lift. Going in day after day being able to do something I couldn't do the day or week before. I've found the iron never lies. I lift for me and only me. To me it's like playing golf, the only person I'm trying to beat is myself. I love to hear success storys about others doing what they never thought imaginable in the gym. Watching my body change and grow from week to week is amazing to me. I may not grow as big or as fast as the man next to me but i down give a rat's a#$. I am more than willing to help anyone where a I can and hope you'll do the same.

Hey guys, finally joined after browsing here for about 6 months. I live in NC and I'm attending college at the moment.
I'm 21 5'8 and have been lifting for years off and on depending on the sports I played. Recently I've picked it up again 'for real' and actually starting to see the results myself. Went from 134(9%bf)-177(11%bf) in between March 28-Sept2(today)...

I went from not working out for a year and a half to my current 4 day split. I wake to eat and live to lift.
Nice to have some company on this obsessive road. Thanks for the inspiration guys.

Hi, there! I'm 29 years old, work in human resourses at a brazilian multinational company called Petrobras, used to wheight 130kg, what qualified me as a big fat f$#k, worse, a smoking fat idiot. I decided, 12 months ago, to change myself; lost 36kg, quitted smoking. Started wheight training at 94kg just to look better but the iron bug bitted me! Today I'm at 110kg and lift 4 or 5 times more wheight then I used to do at the begining. I started my first cutting diet in order to enter my first show ever. I found my sport, found a unnending thirst to grow bigger and bigger. I met a part of me that make me proud of myself. Joined to learn more about the lifestyle.

I wish we all grow bigger!

Hey bros,

36 year old lifter from Ottawa, Canada. Been training for a long time now and always looking to make new gains and smash through personal records. I haven't used Animal products for quite some time, but just recently started using CUTS and TEST. I'm anxious to see if they live up to the hype. Looking forward to sharing info and obtaining knowledge from everyone here.

Hey whats up every one. My name is Chris Tinker, I'm 21, 6'8, and 245lbs. I'm new to the whole weight lifting, just started about 2 weeks ago. Still working on my squat and dead lift technique. A friend got me into this and he has been with me every step of the way. My goals are to make every one look small and make myself feel like a giant lol j/k. The goals I can think of right now that I want is to pack some muscle on, put up some numbers, and have fun doing it. Some more about me, I enjoy watching MMA and football. Im from Plant City FL. I plan on going to school soon for EMT. The name BigTink68 comes from the fact im a big guy, every one calls me by my last name or Tink, and im 6'8. I hope to learn as much as I can from this new and long journey.

whats good everybody?
my name's iain, from chester, va and started lifting last thanksgiving.
i work full time to support my almost-three-year-old daughter and college-taking, baby-chasing wife.
it took months for me to head in the right direction after realizing the person i was getting my nutrition/lifting knowledge from was frontin on how much he knew...
turns out he knew less and talked more - not a good combination.
here's a little about why i started into this new lifestyle:
i was 290lbs at 6'0'', none of which had come from any type of non-work, non-basketball exercise and always looked for a place to sit, or an excuse to be near air conditioners... miserable physically but optimistic mentally. i was losing the battle against will power, gained mad weight when shorty was pregnant (stromboli and milk shakes), kept gaining more afterwards and once the little one popped out i was out of control with my eating habits and never close to a set of weights. when my daughter started getting able to run around i noticed i was getting agitated while chasing after her, was tired all the time (from lack of sleep, yes, but more so from being forcefully active) and was resenting myself for letting this bullshit get this far.
i blew the dust off some hand-me-down dumbbells and searched the internet frantically for some info on how to lose fat fast.
luckily, through countless hours of searching i found this place.
im on my way to becoming the beast ive needed to be all along.
size 8 fitted hat, 42in. waist, 6'0'' and 265lbs... i was born to be big.
now i am very pleased.
hope to be apart of this place for a long time.
holla back people.

Yo, I'm called the Caveman. I'm 5'9", and weighed in this morning at 235, before breakfast. I've been reading the articles at animalpak.com, and taking Animal supplements for a long time now. Like everyone, I started with Animal Pak, but before long I was taking 5-6 Animal products religiously. I've been lifting for the past 6 or 7 years, but really got serious about putting on some size this past year. It's hard for me to maintain, cause I'm in the military. The cardio and the biannual PT tests we have to do make it very hard to keep the size up. But the crew at Animal really keep me motivated to keep pushing myself to get in the gym everyday. Anytime I'm feeling tired, or just not feeling the gym, I log on, read a few ariticles, and I'm in the gym later that day. Never fails. I'm one of the very few guys on my base who lift heavy, so I don't really have a partner. But I consider you guys, no matter where you are, my workout buddies. I had no idea there where so many guys like me out there until I found Animal. I also appreciated the no b.s. advice. What really turned me on to Animal was the articles themselves. I quit reading all the muscle mags, because they seem to be more interested in selling the supplements that support them, instead of supporting the athletes reading the articles. The Animal Crew just gives it to you strait, without the hype of their products. That's what I respect, and that's why I login almost everyday. I've actuall printed out a few of them for motivation on those lazy days. If you haven't already, check 'em out. I look forward to talking to you guys, and travling this road with you brothers.

Hey everyone the name's Eric, but my good friends call me Rod. I first laid hands on the cold iron at the young age of 12. My pops was fresh out of jail and he'd pump iron in the garage. Needless to say he took me under his wing. At around 17 I picked up cross country figuring it'd help with me joining the Marine Corps and all so my beloved weight set started to collect dust. 7 months outta boot camp I was in the sandbox. Not much to do for recreation aside from the over packed internet center. The phone trailer where you called home to find out your girl found a new "friend." Or the weight room, where you could release most of your demons and just go apeshit with out anyone giving a damn. I was hooked again...

I lingered around my comfort zone for a few years while I was still in, mostly due to height weight standards. I was honorably discharged June '08 which was when the metal really engulfed me. I had my problems with the wife, had my problems with alcohol, after I got out I had my problems with drugs until one day I looked in the mirror and all I had worked for was gone. There I was 170lbs skinny fat and just pathetic. My bench had dropped, my squat had dropped, my deadlift had drop...never again.

I cleaned myself up and got a gym membership. Reunited once again with an old friend. No slip ups this time. Nothing to hold me back. Fast forward a year and now I'm 215lbs. Bench 345, Squat 445, Deadlift 475. By no means am I finished. I eat tons of food and move plenty of weight and I'll keep doing it for as long as I live. The rage I get in the gym has become my drug...it's become my fire...my inner animal. It has bettered me in more ways than one.

Well didn't mean to pour out a sob story or go on a rant at all. I look forward to meeting some of you at the Olympia. Thanks for having me aboard!

Howdy all! Been reading here for ages, and decided to get a bit more active. Good to see a community of like minded individuals....

Been lifting since 1993, with pretty good gains. I began to get more into powerlifting as I put on size. All was well until August 2001 when I slipped my L4-L5 disc in my back. That was the worst pain I had ever felt in my lift and I resolved to never go through that experience again. So out of fear and ignorance, I let my lifting fall off considerably, but kept eating. This pattern of lifting off and on continued until October of 2008 when I finally pulled myself together and began to hit the gym in earnest again. About this time I was around 285-290 pounds and not very solid at all...

Heavy lifting, much improved diet, and some good supplements, like AnimalPak helped me blow up to 322 pounds, with a lot of the weight starting to solidify somewhat. Unfortunately, being only 5'10", this was way to much for my back to handle, and I began to feel the tweaks of the bad disc again. Instead of running scared as I had back in 2001, I decided to look at what I could do in the gym. If powerlifting was out, which it seemed to be, maybe I would take some buddies' advice and see what a cut would do for me. Keep in mind I had never wanted to try to lean out before, so this would be a totally new experience for me.

With the help of a bro who was a personal chef/personal trainer, I started cleaning up my diet and beginning to lift more like a bodybuilder, rather than constantly doing my beloved power moves. And hey....cardio! Another new experience.... Surprisingly, the fat began to drop fairly quickly. Eventually my bud moved away and I started working with a competitive bench press specialist whose wife is a national-level bodybuilder. They are amazing people and have helped me a ton!

So here I am now at 250 pounds with a 36" waist, a 10" drop and a loss of over 70 pounds...in just 7.5 months. The rest of my stats are 52" chest, 19.75" arm, 29" quad, and 20" calf. Still a big guy, just in a different way. And now I'm heading to do a bodybuilding competition by this time next year. Still lots of work to do, of course, but if I can do what I've done so far, I know I can do the work to win.

The HugeMuscleGeek name comes from my job as a software trainer and tech. I travel constantly all over the US and Canada to teach, so i am always looking for gym info, and buds to lift, eat, and hang out with. I also have started doing sports photography at powerlifting, strongman competitions, and fitness expos around the country. You can see some of my work at www.flickr.com/photos/hugemusclegeek

Well, that's a lot to write and a lot for you to read. If you want to see a pic of my transformation so far, check this out: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3476/3935831585_3042f77b9f_o.jpg

My name is Will and have been on quest to loose weight and get healthy. Spent way to many years of my life lifting only nasty, fatty, unhealthy foods into my face. At 28 I was 370lbs and 49% body fat. Freakin disgusting isnt it? Anyhow for the past two years I have been working out and now I stepped into the world of power lifting. I am excited to continue this quest for strength and to be the one people watch in the gym as I squat mass amounts of weight!

My interests are first and foremost my family, hitting the gym, and hitting the gym ha. I look forward to gaining as much knowledge from you guys as possible and maybe even workinout with some one who lives in my area some day.

34 years old. Been training since I was 12 and my grandfather bought me the old plastic weight set with the sand inside. A short bar with maybe 25 pounds in weight!
I'm a personal trainer, so you can see I live and breath this every day.
Looking to finally step on the stage, as I had a small "time out" for the last 17 years that kept me from really training or eating right.
Time to put all the knowledge and willpower to work, and hopefully with support and advice from the Crew.

I'm 27 living in the UK and have used a number of weight training forums in the past only to be dissapointed when i get stupid/ unhelpful comments on my questions from other members so hopefully this one will be different.

I'm currently around 185lb 5ft 10' and train with a split programme 4 times per week, i'm looking at increasing size and getting too 200lb of lean mass (doesnt everybody).

I will post more details under a different post about my training and supplements but i have been training seriously for a year and have gained about 25lbs so pretty decent.

Thanks for reading and hope to have some positive constructive comments from you all on my future posts.

Thanks

Hi Guys,

My name is Ali Fikree. I live in Dubai , in the UAE which is in the Middle East. To make a long story short, I was working as welder and welding inspector for a gas company for a number of years. This September. The welding work and the outdoor was great and I had a good time working my butt off in the mid-day sun. However, as I got promoted and went more into the inspection field my work and job started ending up being a desk job. I decided to quit and take control of my life. As a result, I am now working on establishing my own dive centre and also decided to give some serious weight training a go. I hope to have my results posted soon. I want to start a program basically to get strong and lose some weight.

I must admit, I spent all night reading the articles on "livin" and it was very inspiring. Thanks so far for such a warm welcome.

The name's max. I'm a freshman at Florida Southern College. I've just gotten serious about lifting the past few months. I stand 5'10/5'11 and walk around between 150-155 pounds. I have a lean physique because I've been a fighter since I could walk, but now i'm ready to pack on the pounds since I don't have to qualify for a weight class. Any advice would be helpful as I start the journey. My goal is to weigh 235 in 12 months. I think that's very doable.

Good to be here. I've been stumblin around this game for about 8 years but didn't get it together until the past year. I've put on around 30lbs, I finally decided to listen and found out nutrition is key (currently choking down meal #2 chix, brown rice and pak). I attribute my gains to my animal brother lunatic who set me straight and told me I wouldn't last training for 2 weeks with him, guess I proved you wrong bro.

Hey, well, here is a bit about me:
I lifted consistently my senior year of high school, stopped for about 2 years and now I'm back with a vengeance. I lift everyday to stay sane and I'm trying to add some real size to my body. This forum seems like a cut above the rest.

I started a journey here: http://forum.animalpak.com/showthread.php?t=27882

Glad to be among those who are dedicated, no, OBSESSED with being better every day. Being part of this community is an honor and I'm stoked to part of it. I use lifting to get myself ready for war. Going to the gym every day is a chance to teach myself discipline and controlled aggression.

Been liftin for about a year now mainly to stay in shape and shit but i realized that was far from the truth after reading all of the articles written on this site by what i consider to be my biggest role models. It def made me realize that i do this for a reason not for the bitches not to brag and show off but for the love of the sport and wanting to be something big someday.

Hey I'm Adam aka govey gov I live in the middle of nowhere across the pond in the United Kingdom, I've spent years lifting on and off got my first set of weights and bench when I was 13, before that I was the chubby kid growing up, but I got strong and in good shape lifting, playing rugby, soccer and boxing and became super fit, but then at 16 and a half I suffered a bad knee injury then week later messed up my back and was out of action for 10 months and went from a 170lbs well built kid to 220lbs and chubby again, over the years slowed by injuries and bad dieting I was up to 260lbs at age 21 and got out of breath walking up a flight of stairs, I'm 28 now and over the years worked hard to get rid of the fat at the start of the year I was 204 lbs and was stuck there no matter what I did I could not lose anymore weight, I still had a some fat to get rid of, then I came across animal cuts used 2 cycles of it and dropped from 204 to 184 lbs in 7 weeks I was very impressed of course, since then I've been coming on the animal pak forums every couple days, basically my whole diet and training routines I get from the great advice and tips all you animals write in here and now im 190 lbs and in the best shape I've been in 12 years, feeling healthy and stronger then ever, so thank you to all you animals out there who keep posting great stuff on this site.

Whats up guys...I just got back into the scene this past May. I've been out for over a year and I got tired of feeling tired. My younger bigger brother pushed me and gave me the motivation to get back into taking care of myself. I've doubled my strength and tripled my energy thanks to him. Now I'm hitting the gym up every morning for at least 2 hours a day. I'm looking forward to taking Animal Stak/Cuts together. I need to drop my bodyfat % while gaining lean mass so I'm open for any suggestions. thanks

Hey everyone, I'm Josh. I'm 15 years old, at a solid 190 pounds. Today was my first workout in a while, I fell off completely during the summer months, getting too much into that mentality is what brought me down from 205.

I'm a sophomore, I live in New Jersey. My diet is back up, 6 meals a day, my sleep patterns are improving, I'm gonna redeem myself.

I really appreciate all this, I'm looking forward to get to know all of you here.

Hey Guys,

I am happy to be a part of this forum. My name is Himanshu Mishra and I am originally from India. Have been studying and working in US for some time now - been mostly around the NYC area but worked in Houston too.

I started working out in 2001 - have family genes such that I gain weight and muscle easily. Been off and on since then, but have tried to be in good shape. I have been working put regularly for the past 6 months or so and hope to continue it (without a break).

Also, I just ordered 2 units of Animal Pak (44 packs) yesterday and am planning to take them with my Whey Protein. Will reach out to you guys for more tips :)

Thanks!

How's it goin'? My name is Deepesh. Skiba's Barbell Club in Carteret NJ is where I make my home. Currently I'm at college and keeping my journey going. Making both my mind and body stronger has been my focus since I began my journey 5 years ago.

I'm 19, started lifting when I was 14 (so long ago!) and went from a skinny-fat (is that a term?) 147 to a big 187 where I am now. I'm working on getting bigger and better everyday, and I can't wait to let my inner Animal loose.

Hey guys, my name's Pete, I'm 19 and a sophomore in college fro Milwaukee. I started lifting when I was 17, in july 07 and at that point I was about 5'10", 250 lbs, maybe somewhere around 35%bf. I decided I wanted to make a positive change in my life, so over the following year I dropped 80 lbs. I wasn't too happy with the weight I lost, because it left me a scrawny 170lbs and probably around 11%bf. I started reading some mags, got Arnold's Encylopedia, and decided I wanted to get big.

I'm currently 6'0", 195lbs around 12%bf. I'm still learning, but I'm hoping to put on some serious mass over the next couple of years. I had tried gaining last year, but I was stupid in how I ate, so I ended up putting on more fat I should have, so this year, I'm being smart about it. I'm currently supp.ing with Animal Pak, whey and L-Arginine. I'm hanging on to Animal Stak & M Stack for another month or so, and I'm excited to see how things go. It's good to see a forum like this where everyone can get the support they're looking for.

'Sup guys my name is Stephan from Johannesburg South-Africa and I've been training hard for the last three years now. I'm currently on track to become a Charted Accountant CA(SA) so I've been bustin' my balls off through all the studies, working, being crapped on by my auditing firm's managers and partners and best of all training like a freak. Training has become more than just a daily routine to me but it's what defines me between all these droopy, out-of shape corporate fat-cats. My best body parts would be my bis and quads-I've been gaining good muscle around my quads, especially teardrops- I just love the fact that I can't barely fit my wheels into a pair of smart business pants!

What's goin on everyone? My name is Drew and ive been training consistently since i was 10. I am not a professional bodybuilder nor is that one of my goals. Dont get me wrong, I have tremendous respect for the men who do compete in all amateur and pro arenas dont get me wrong, it just isnt my choice for a career. i train for one reason, to make myself better each time i get into the gym. And i am the first to admit that i genuinely enjoy being sore the next day, if im not, i feel like i wasted the gym time.
I will be attending the University of Texas at Austin this spring and i well be studying biology so i can get into medical school and eventually become an anesthesiologist. Im stoked to finally be a part of this organization, and i hope to contribute as best as i can. Later brothers

Just wondering if you guys have any advice for guys with long fucking arms, as i said im 6 foot two, all my other power lifts like deds, and squats are strong as hell and never takes me long to get over a plateau on them. But lately bench has been giving me shit.... I maxxed at a measley 300 tonight was hoping for 315 but it was not happening with how gruesome 300 was... Any ideas? strength building work outs for chest? Currently i do 8-10 reps at 225 for first set , 8 reps at 245, 6 reps @ 265 and then finish with 4 reps @ 275. Bench has always been my weak point on chest. Just need some help brothers!!!

Hey people!

My name is Nico, I'm 18 years old, 190cm(6.2ft), 77kg (170lbs) from Austria (Vienna), so excuse my strange english.

I got into the "hardcore" side of weightlifting about 5 months ago. I've been doing work on my fitness/body all my life and I feel very fit, but my goal is to put on some weight and get serious. I'm okay with my shape at the moment, not unhappy at all, but I just want to bulk up a bit and not be as thin. Probably the goal of most ppl getting into BB at my age I guess. By the "hardcore" side of BB I mean that I'm really watching my calorie and protein intake at the moment and working out 5 days a week, altering my training plan every few weeks. (Changing exersizes, adding weight/reps, switching splits around). At the moment I'm following the 5-day-split GDiesel advertises on the training section of the animal homepage and find it very extreme. Every time I stop working out and head for the shower, I'm looking forward to my next session, so I got the motivation going as well which makes me wrather proud. (I'm normaly not very disciplined ;) )

I didn't get into supps and creatine yet, but I'm thinking about taking the next step in a month or two and start off with some creatine.

I like the stuff I've seen here a lot so far and think this is a great way of learning and integrating myself in a community.

Cheers,

Nico

I'm pretty new to the BB scene although been training for about 2 years on and off. I am about 5'11 - 200lbs and approx 12-14% body fat. Decided to start training seriously this year and wanting to get down to about 6-8% body fat and an extra 30 pounds. As I say, im pretty new to BB so not sure on what gains to expect and how long they usually take. I have changed my diet to about 5-6 meals a day and started on a Four Day Split which I found on the site. All tips welcome.

Hey I was like you when I was young just try to eat every 2.5 to 3 hours max! You must eat protein, Cottage Cheese and egg whites are awsome! Try adding liquid egg whites from a carton that is pasturized to your protein shakes and eat brown rice, yams, potatos and vegies at all meals!

What is up y'all? My name is Greg, my friends call me G. I'm from T-Town (Tulsa) Oklahoma. I'm a police officer and just turned 32. I've been weight training since I was about 18. I have done some powerlifting, bodybuilding and weightlifting and have always been ridiculously passionate about the iron game. I was never one to worry about my weight or weights for me it has always been my release/ escape. Well now that I'm growing up (LOL) the body doesn't perform like it used to. I have always hovered around 275-295 with about 15% bf. Well about 2 months ago I reached 315 and decided that enough was enough! I'm getting to old to be foolish and bad guys on the streets are geting younger, faster and stronger. I'm down to 290ish now and am looking the best I have in years. Here's to getting lean and mean! Look forward to posting more and getting to know some of you!

Hello all, comin to you from the high desert in california, been training off and on for a few years, back in May I was in a pretty bad bike wreck at the track that left me with a broken bone in the foot, in August I returned to work and in mid September with the help of a friend I was back to training. It has been a challenge getting back, but I take it one day at a time. Have been using universal/animal products for a couple years and truly believe hands down the best supplements out there. Just wanted to introduce myself and say hello.

Hey all, i'm 22, from melbourne, australia. Got into lifting in 2006, trained hardcore but did not know jack all for a few years while making insignificant gains. Started doing some hardcore research last year and booom: pre 2006: 130 lbs, start of 2008: 145lbs, now: 180lbs. its been hard, but worth every bit.

I see the stats of the behemoths here and I am inspired...

also took my first animal product, animal pump, yesterday. Its looking promising.

Cheers all.

Hey ppl,

BigMac here in DFW. I am a 31 y/o IT professional who has ballooned to 245lbs at 5' 11'' with a 40inch waist. In my industry I have traveled globally and indulged too much over the years. Although I workout weekly I am not seeing much change. Now my goal is to focus on my diet, reduce my bodyfat and become much leaner.

I have been kicking up my metabolism with the help of supplements and hitting the cardio harder but I am looking for a plan I can sustain.

I look forward to starting my first cycle and demonstrating some serious results.

Vid Nash
11-20-09, 3:32 pm
Hi, My name is David Nash, my friends call me Vid, I started weight training about three years ago, i got up one morning after a heavy saturday night, and looked into the mirror and didn't like what i saw, so i decided to change it. I had choices of local gyms which were full of sweaty old men, and women who wore makeup, so i kept looking untill i came across a proper Iron Gym, i liked the look of it, and the owner Mike King. About half a year ago, i was asked if i thought about competing, so i decided to take up bodybuilding, and i've been hooked ever since. I get grouchy if i miss a training session. I still consider myself to be a 'wet behind the ears' rookie, i've read a lot of books, and on-line bits and pieces, and i think i've finally got my diet into some shape, and my training is going well.

Hope to learn from you guy/gals

Names Adam, i started power lifting in high school and reached a max out of 495lbs bench press and 495 Squat. Its been a few years since then and after starting a family i have packed on quite a bit of pounds. In High School i was a 6'1 295lbs solid. Now i am at 6'2 360lbs and looking to get back into powerlifting and slim down at the same time. I just started a stack of Animal Pak Cuts, Beta Alanine, and plenty of fish oil. If anyone could help me out please do so. Let me know of any high cardio/heavy lifting you guys know of. Im not much of a cardio kind of guy but ill take any advise i can get.

pushin_Fe
11-22-09, 10:50 pm
Sup fellas, this is pushin_Fe, but all my friends call me red. Started lifting right after basketball season my junior year of high school. I went from 175 lbs. at 6’4.5” to 200 lbs. at 6’6”in only 7 months of lifting. Continued lifting and gained another 25 lbs. in the next year, but that’s when I hit my college party days and basically drink my way out of college and stopped lifting. After working at jobs here and there and lifting off and on, I finally got really back into lifting and needed another period of time so I could get my head straight and finish working on my associates in science. Once I completed my schooling, for now, I started lifting and have since July 14th of 2008. I have made some major improvements on my workouts and how I look at working out, not just pounding the same body part with the same exercises and the same reps and same sets over and over again. I usually change my workout every 4 to 7 weeks depending on how I feel. My main hope with joining this site is to learn more about nutrition, my weakest area. I know this is the most important part of training and reaching my goals but it is also the hardest for me to get a grip on. I am starting a journey on here and making small goals to keep me pushin.

Hey just a quick intro. Names Aaron, 27, going on 7 years of serving in the NAVY. Been athletic all my teen/adult life but now i'm really looking forward to packing on some muscle. Been serious for the past 4 months now but with deployment schedules and crazy work hours, its been a challenge in and of its self to find a "moderately" consistent time to hit the plates. I look forward to asking a lot of questions and sharing my journey with all of you.

Wuz craccin fellas, this is ya boi Monster and i've been checcin you guy's out for about a week and i feel like i'm at the crib.
i've been hittin the iron for about a year here in Houston and i've been pretty successful for a while, until january 2007 almost cost me my lifting life. some punk ass stabbed me in a bullshit fight in my left forearm and was a hair lenght from my muscle, y i tried to kill that muthafucca. but it took my right 6 months and hard work and i'm back in it like a G. my bench is on point, and that was one of my main concerns all the rest followed. well that the 411 on ya boi. i look forward to paying due with you kats.

How's it goin everyone. The name's Andrew but i go by my last name Medina a lot. I'm 20, a college student and part time worker. I'm one of those HARDGAINERS. I work thrice as hard and eat half a pot of rice everyday and make little gains. It's frustrating but it doesn't stop me. I've taken some protein but not that much, but it's time to get serious! So i started by buying my first Animal M-Stak after reading that its for hardgainers and i'm ready to be apart of the family! I hit the gym every single day i'm not working. I train hard and got looks in the past that i was too scrawny but now i'm pretty decently cut and big and i don't get the same looks anymore, some people say i'm ripped but i don't believe that. Bodybuilding is life and i just walked in the door and tore the doorknob off so i can't leave. I'm proud to be a loyal Animal customer and will use these products for life as i join the road to lift weights with you guys. Take care.

Figure I should introduce myself since I'm now a part of Rage's cutting challenge! Up until now my participation here has been mostly having questions answered, as I am a bit of a novice.

So hi, I'm Chris. I'm 28, 6' ~200 and am fairly new to serious weightlifting, but have been athletic most of my life with baseball, bowling, golf, racquetball, basketball, and football at various points. I work out at Cardinal Fitness in Channahon, IL, which is actually within sight from my apartment so very convenient (and inexpensive). I do a Rippetoe-oriented routine, amongst a sea of high schoolers doing preacher curls and bench presses (and wrist curls), and old dudes doing machines and thinking they're jacked. No one does deads of any kind and no one does barbell squats, so I think they think I'm psycho. That's ok, maybe I am, but I get a lot more results from what I'm doing now (Rippetoe) than what I started out with at the beginning of the year (machine crap like they were doing).

I ballooned up to 250 about 3 years ago, and it's been a long path to healthier habits and physical fitness, filled with many false starts and bad info. In that time I was promoted then fired, got divorced, moved back home, finished a semester of college while working 2 part time jobs, then got a new job and was laid off about a year later, finally landing where I am now - a purchasing rep for a regional warehouse servicing 70 stores in the middle third of IL and eastern third of IA of an international grocery store chain, and have been in a relationship for 1 1/2 years.

I'm looking forward the cardio challenge and everything else the future brings in my path to attaining a supreme level of physical fitness and strength and appreciate all the help I've received thus far!

alright guys, nice to meet you all. my names will, im 18 years old, n im a student in the uk... iv been lifting for 3 years.. 1st year was just light weights n learning. iv been looking at this site for a few years now, very motivational stuff. i must have read through Wrath's journey a 100 times, easy. im not the biggest guy in the gym by far, but im dedicated in that i never miss a workout, get atleast 9 hours sleep a night, get 250g protein a day, and im cutting down on the drink (fairly hard at uni!) anyway this is the first bb forum iv joined..
i started off just being into fitness, however now i want to get alot bigger, and im prepared to give whatever it takes.. im currently following the program: m: off, t: back n shoulders, w: chest n triceps, t: legs, f: off, s: arms, s: legs...
my fave bodypart is the tricep (i like cable pull-downs).. n i hate squats, although i do them twice a week.. cos although theyre painful.. they work, n you animals have proved that!

anyway just an introduction.. hope to meet likeminded people, but in the mean time.. keep digging

A little about myself:

I was a chubby kid. I outgrew my baby fat and got into fairly good aerobic shape in the '80s. I was in the US Army then. I maxed the push-up and running portions of the Army PT test -- I could do 70 form-perfect push-ups in 2 minutes. My best 2 mile run time was 13:20. I sucked at doing sit-ups, so I never maxed the whole test. Anyway, I was what's called "wiry" -- tough but not big.

I started lifting weights after I got out of the Army because I felt like crap sitting around doing nothing. Same as everyone else, the improvements I made in the first few months of lifting were steady and impressive. I surprised myself. My physique changed. I wasn't a skinny scrapper anymore. I had some muscle. But, after a while I plateaued.

I've been stuck at basically the same level for the past 20 years. Weight-lifting got to be a boring routine, but I stuck with it. I am looking to kick up my game. Being an old fuck, I know I'll never end up looking like Lou Ferrigno in his Incredible Hulk prime, but I'd like to think I could make some gains.

I did some research. A lot of what's out there is scary to me. Prohormones? No thanks? I want to keep it safe and natural. I found myself drawn to Animal products. I am on Pak and Flex now. (I added the Flex because of a history of joint problems.) Started a few weeks ago. I think I feel better, but I could be fooling myself. I'll have to give it more time.

Anyhoo to wrap up, I am here to learn. All I ever took for supplements before this were discount store vitamins and herbs. Any advice I can get will be appreciated. I would be especially interested to hear some tips from the older guys.

Whatsup, my name is scott, I,ve been lifting for 2 years solid. I'm 6'1, I started out at 175 lb weakling, but after copious amounts of research and hours in the gym I'm now at 237lbs. I'm very pleased with the progress that I've made in the last two years, it's been well worth the pain. I joined the forum to be apart of an army of people that are just as stoked about lifting as I am.

Hi, I'm Hosey, Just joined today 5 minutes ago, I've been training on and off for 3 years now, First started off as a "get fit" kind of training lots of cardio and some weights then when I saw a MD magazine and a couple flex with Cutler getting his olympia title I decided I wanted to look like that, well now after 3 years and watching the BB scene I'm Honestly more inspired by watching Evan Centopani and like his physique alot more than cutlers and hope to one day look something like that.

Hey guys, my name is Mike Gray. I'm originally from Flint, MI, but currently stationed at Langley AFB in VA. I'm in the Air Force and have an addiction to everything physical, but most importantly, iron. I've done martial arts for 10 years, and for 4 of those uyears, iron has been a big part, but it hasn't been until the past year that I've taken it as seriously as I do now.

As of now, I'm sitting at 5'7", 165lbs, around 8% b/f. Currently, I'm looking to gain mass and strength for nothing more than personal achievement, but it's entirely possible at some point that I will compete.

Finding this place has been a great help, since it seems to be filled with people who share a similar mentality. Definately looking forward to becoming a part of this community.

Just wanted to drop a line and introduce myself. 23 years old. Been recently getting back into bulking up. Spending most of my high school years as the fatass gumpy kid who couldn't do shit. After goin through alot of crap through those years I finally dropped my weight from being 6'1 285 44" waist pants being tight to 6'3 205lbs size 34s. I looked scrawny. Hated it. Started bulking now im 247lbs 6'3, size 36's and just getting bigger pushing a 50" chest. This is who i am, and how I will be. Period. Definately interested in powerlifting, possibly some bodybuilding. If anyone can give me some pointers or ideas about how to get started, any would be appreciated.

I'm currently enlisted into the navy as a Tomahawk Tech and operator. In my spare time I frequent concerts, read books or drive. I started weight lifting about a month and a half ago with my friend as a cure to a hangover. Now I'm trying to get in as much as I can and better myself.

Played football in school, and just made the transition to weight training as an outlet but it has become an obsession. I hope to compete as a power lifter in the next year or so, but I have a lot of work to do before I can get that done. Thanks yall for the encouragement and drive!!!

Hi guys, I'm Italian I'm trying to get back in shape as when I was bit younger. Long time ago I stopped training for various reasons: I was satisfied and then other personal reasons did the rest. Now I am 33 years old, and in May I decided to return to work out, unfortunately it was all really damn hard, I got injured several times, left elbow, right knee, right elbow, both hips ...a tragedy.
Now I'm pretty good, but all these injuries tired me mentally.
I train at home, I always enjoyed training alone, and I hope to return to a decent shape for July.
Since is a log time that i don't train ,I hope that following the forum I can find the motivation, and learn everything that I haven't learned in these years of inactivity.
OK, OK, was not a very good presentation, a bit sad, but I'm an easy going guy, and I always try to joke and see the good even in the worse things.
Ciao!

Yo Gaucho! Glad to see you here on the boards. There is a wealth of knowledge and a common respect here on The Forvm that you will not find anywhere else. Read up on things regarding your goal in the Diet section and feel free to ask questions. One of the best things about this place is that everyone remembers where they started and are for the most part very happy to help you on your journey. Keep pushin kid, you've got everything it takes.
