Spartarican
12-07-07, 8:32 am
Whats up people! My name is a Spartarican. All puertorican trying to turn into a spartan. Been working out seriously for the last few months. Trying to get my body ripped and cut. i am not looking for the big muscular look. I am a model and trying to tone up. Currently weighing in at 208 lbs but trying to get down to 185. So, far that goal seems imposible as I been trying to get down in weight for the last couple of months but my weight wont budge. It must be due to losing body fat and gaining muscle. I work out 4 days a week while doing 30 min cardio 5 times a week. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks
Spartarican

Hey everyone, I'm Alex. I am from Cambridge and I have been lifting weights throughout high school, but I have just recently gotten a lot more serious about it this year. I am about 5'5" and I weigh roughly 175lbs.
I look forward to meeting some new people and getting some good advice that can help me get stronger and achieve my goals.

Hey just giving the standard intro. From MN here, name's Eric. Been lifting since 21. Was scrawny as hell as a kid. Went from 120-130 to 170. Hitting sort of a plateau which sucks, but a lot of that had to do with my incessant biking this summer, which I don't plan on doing next. Hard to gain weight when u burn all your calories on a bike. :) But looking forward to staying motivated through this forum to bust through this plateau.

Anyway, love lifting, bodybuilding... look forward to every time I get into the gym. Has been a great way to channel my energy and challenge myself. A true passion. Will never give it up.

Hello Everyone, A-Dub from Cambridge, ON here. I joined the FORVM not to long ago...and so far this place kicks ass. I have already learned so much and plan on learning lots more. I was always into keeping in shape throughout highschool but started lifting seriously only recently. Stiff is the one I would like to thank for getting me into the game. I currently train with Lisinator.
A little about myself: I'm a hard gainer.. only 152 right now...but when I started a few months ago, I was only 135ish. I would like think its a pretty healthy gain, but I would like to gain more though. Gaining weight is my up-most concern right now. Anything that comes along with this is a bonus! I would definitely like to hear from people who've had/are having similar experiences, and I would also like the opportunity to meet and train with people through ABC sessions! This will be a journey like no other. I will embrace every moment of it.

Hi guys. I got into lifting seriously about 2 months ago. My current weight is 176bs. I want to get that up to 190lbs. I'm starting studying next year and training is going to be my top priority. Together with lifting I'm going to be training in Jujitsu, Taekwondo and/or boxing. In 2009 I want to fight in my first MMA fight and establish a good fight record.

This place looks excellent and it's just the home and the community I'm looking for right now. Looking forward to working with you guys!

Peace

T82 here, nice to meet you all, I also am a youngster at 16 years old and 190lbs and 5'10 with 13.7% body fat and I am from IL. My interest in in lifting came to me when I was 15 and since then I've been at my school's gym every day working out and in the upcoming future I hope to lose more body fat and get bigger and stronger. Currently I bench 245x1 (I've been stuck on that for 6 months), Deadlift 405, Clean and Press (Powerclean?) 185x2, and squat 315x1.

I hope over the time span of a year I can reach at least some of my goals, and again nice meeting you all.

Greetings brothers. It is an honor to be here. 42 old been training 2 yrs now. 1 compitition and more to come. Lifted in my younger yrs but could not deny where I belong. Application to the iron is my sickness, my healing, and forever devotion to endless goals. I travel for a livin. I lift everywhere. Fatigue is my enemy, for I fight it with that last maxrep. In search of the hardcore gyms in the basement, garage, anywhere where there is serious iron.

What the hell is up my fellow animals of the world? My name is Josh, I am a newbie to the pack and cant wait to start hearing all you stories as well as giving you a few of mine! I am 23 years old and live in Madison Wisconsin. I have spent the better part of the past 4 years in Milwaukee for college of which I just finished in August (Summa Cumm Laude). I did a professional internship with the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club this summer and wrapped that up in September. I have been working as a contracted personal trainer for The Anytime Fitness Franchise. I also volunteer as a sports performance specialist at my local high school (and alma mater). I will be in Madison untill Jan 25th. After that I am off to LaCrosse Wisconsin for graduate school to get my Masters Degree in Human Performance. So yeah I get around a bit! I have competed in 3 INBF contest since the summer of 2003 as a light heavyweight. I started and sat as president of my University Fitness and Bodybuilding Club as well. If all goes well I will be the VP at UW-LaCrosse when I get up there as well, lookin forward to that!

Other then that I am here to say I am proud to be an official Animal at last!

I'm Kev. 34 years old. Recently relocated to Tampa FL from Orlando - Originally from Philly. Been working out off and on for about 10 years. This time it's real. It's gonna stick.

It all started about 12 years ago with an extremely obese young man. 52 inch waist with 380 pounds of nothing but fat carried on a 5'7 frame. Since I was young, I admired wrestlers from the formerly known WWF and WOW entertainment groups on TV. Then one day my head said, 'Get on the ball. Get off your ass.' So I started waiting tables - could barely carry a tray of food at first. Then started taking supplements and BAM! The weight was melting off. After I lost 150 pounds I remembered those hard bodies I used to watch on TV and wanted to bulk up. I worked out off and on......nothing to brag about. Then came my first glance at the World's Strongest Man on ESPN about 2 weeks ago. I found my niche. This is what I want. I want to be HUGE!

So please join me on my journey. Any advice would be most welcome.

Hey everyone.

A little about me....

With a spark of interest, I decided to get involved in the figure aspect of the industry. This upcoming Feb. will mark 2 years that I have been competing. May 07 I won the overall figure at the NPC Pittsburgh show - I'm not gonna lie, it was a hard road to get there, a lot of obstacles but, in the end, I was the last one standing. Getting ready now for Nationals in Sept. in NY where I'll be hungry again for that stage and my pro card.

The gym is my time. I take the intensity and support that I find in here and use it to help drive me past the point that I thought I could go.

Never sell yourself short - train everyday until you're spent, crawling out of the doors that you so confidently walked into.

What's up fellas? It feels good to finally come home. I have been in this great iron game for over 15 years and during that time, I have wasted a lot of time and money on bullshit supplements and products. I plan to use my past experiences and knowledge to help any hardcore trainer from making the same mistakes that I did. You cats are already ahead of me as you found your way home before I did. Keep brining it in the gym and taking your Animal supplements so we can continue this hardcore movement!

What up bros. My name's Jay and I live in Somerville, NJ working as a Portfolio Admin at an Investment Firm. I was a 4 year rower at UPenn, graduated last May. I've always wanted to lift big but rowing restricted me to long endurance work and a thin upper body... not anymore, I'm shedding all of it and hitting the iron hard. I have a long road ahead of me. Animal.

hey fellas. I'm 19 years old and from PA. I've been llifting since I was 13 for sports, mainly wrestling. My goal is to become a complete animal and an ustoppable force on the mat. I currently put up 425 on bench, 500 on deadlift, and 550 on my squat.

What's up Brothers,

I'm 23 years old. I'm originally from Arkansas, but I'm currently in Italy serving in the military. I've been in the trenches for about a year and a half now. I've had a few setbacks but hope to stay healthy for a while. I'm 5'10", 205lbs, and 10% bf. I have the itch and I can't get rid of it. I go to the gym to try and change my body every training session. Looking forward to getting out of the service and getting back to my roots in Arkansas. Can't wait to do my part in the FORVM.

Phoenix Rising here and a proud member of the Nor Cal ABC. I have been lifting since 1999 but mostly for ego and not paying any attention to diet. Decided to get my act together about 6 months ago and making some great progress, especially since I found this board ad my fellow Nor Cal Animals. Let's see, other stuff: 37 years old, married (awesome wife) and two awesome kids. Right now, 191 at 6 ' 0" looking to make it up to 200-205 and go from there. Glad to be part of the crew here and looking forward to learning and growing each and everyday.

whats up I'm the knight_train. I'm almost 20 and i'm currently goin to the University of Colorado. I started lifting during football in highschool and I've been doin it for 5 years, but only seriously the last two years. This last semester I've turned into a lazy piece of shit and I'm no where near accomplishing my goals. bb.com is okay, but there's a little bit too much bullshit in their forums so i wanted to try something different. Here's my stats

6'4" 180lbs 8% bodyfat

I used to be bigger, but i've lost 10-15 lbs this semester.

Also I'm in marine corps ROTC so when i get out of college, i get to go kill some people. So basically I also want to be huge so i scare the shit out of those fuckers

Started lifting again back a few years ago, broke a few ribs in an accident and got back about a year ago. Just changed jobs recently and am trying to figure out my schedule to get back to the gym on a regular basis, hoping after the holidays are over.
Hope to get some inspiration here!

I just turned 35 and looking for 2008 to be the year it turns around for me.
I lifted all through school, left it for about 10 years. My personal world came to an end and was left with PAIN, HATE and ANGER. Went back to the iron, found AnimalPak that has brothers that are as sick and twisted as me. I found a place to belong.

Hey there everyone... I didn't see this thread right away, mah bad.

I didn't know anything about this site until my boyfriend (as some of you know as Erik, NOT Buzzkill) had mentioned it to me months ago, but I didn't think anything of it.
Then he asked me a few weeks ago to join him at the gym in Brooklyn this past weekend, so I agreed to it...hell, it was even better b/c I live in BK.

I've been in & out of the gym, never 100% consistent, and that's a huge fault of mine. I was out of work for 3 months this year and found myself at the gym every afternoon while it was empty. What a joy that was! Then I got a job (which I LOVE) and started back in school (end of August)- pile those 2 together, forget it....it's 1 class + work + commuting from all over Manhattan, who the hell wants to go work out after all that? Ya know?
So now my semester has ended, I have 13 days off from work (gotta LOVE the music industry!) and I'll be heading back in there. But next semester is a doozy- 2 classes at night. Ugh.

My job has a gym as well but of course, it's not as easily accessable during the day for me. And it's cheap- $60/mo (they can deduct it from my check).

OH! And I play softball too.

So that's my story.....

Hey, guys. I'm a younger guy and have just started lifting for a couple months. I'm real heavy into sports, particularly football and my aim is to make as many strength gains as possible while maintaining reasonable bodyfat% so I don't slow down.

I'm pretty small, 150 lbs and 5'9 feet tall, hoping to change the weight thing by adding on some solid muscle.

hey yall. I'm 22 (23 in january) and reside in shrewsbury, ma. Still a college student studying buisness. I started lifting when i was 14 for high school soccer/track. I've been lifting off and on since then, but started going religiously for about 1.5 years.

Why do i go to the gym? It is my sanctuary, only place i can concentrate on one thing without distractions. Keeps me off alcohol and drugs as well. Boosts my confidence and self esteem. But best of all, lets me release my anger constructively... lets me be a beast, controlled beast, and i love it.

Hi. Just joined the legion here after my first visit to the forum. After the usual fare I have seem on other forums, this is a nice change. BTW, I am recovering from shoulder surgery (April) and lower back surgery (September) which has kept me out of the gym fully from April till mid October and due to other medical issues I have went on and off (more off) from August 2006 thru the beginning of April this year. Although I am back in the gym only 2-3 times per week (gotta baby my lower back), I am lifting again and it feels great. Today I finally built up the nerve to try squats again (gotta add deadlifts - at least rack pulls) and I was extremely surprised that there was no discomfort at all. That did it. The sweat came and the "locomotive breath" soon followed and right then I decided if there is no discomfot by Wednesday, I am squatting heavy once again.

Forgot to mention that I am 46.

Hey fellas welcome to The Forvm at Animalpak.com. Start off by telling us something about yourself—what you do, your interests, how you got into this game... Something that will give us insight into who you are.

Here's the lowdown on J-Dawg...
My role in The Forvm will be kinda like a captain. If you have any issues or problems that you run into, any questions, start with The Henchmen and work your way up to The Watchmen. If you still have a problem, get in touch with me.

For me it is a great honor to be a part of such a noble undertaking. I'm proud of every member of The Legion who make up this great forum, this place we call home, The Forvm.

Salut mes Frères, I'm from Quebec, Canada...I'm almost perfect bilingual, since a have a degre in English, I lived in Toronto for a couple too. Here I am 22 years of old, and jacked up to 5 foot 10, near 11, one off-season under my belt at 210 and 11% all natural. names chris and i'm 21 (almost 22). been lifting for a few years but never serious. A few weeks ago i broke up with my girlfriend and the one thing i always remembered her saying was how bodybuilding was stupid and i could never look like one. Well since then i have been going 110% at this. 3,000 clean calorie diet, tons of protein from all the eggs, chicken, beef and such, 3 days a week working out pushing myself to the limit everytime. I've gained 15 lbs in the past 3 weeks and my waist has gone down an inch. I found this forum when watching a video of mcgrath and then Andrew "The Machine". One day i will be where they are.

Hallo there Animals,
My name is Pierino Antonetti, age 38, i am 5 foot 6 and i weight 170, and i come from The Netherlands, so wen i post most of you Animals are catching some zzzzz's.
I began liften again after 20 years and to tell you the truth i hated it to go back to the gym.
As a father of two childeren and working for their future i needed to get in shape again.
I began in feb. 2007 and i weight 180, my bodyfat was 24%. I was not motivated to get back to the gym. But i had to. I was weak and out of shape so i kept on going.
It took me for about 4 mont to discover this site.
And then it all became clearly.
I am not at the gym for other people, not to talk to the pretty girls or the club boys.
I am here to lift iron. ALOT....
After approx. 10 monts of lifting and doing cardio, i weight 170, my bodyfat declined to 19%, and now i feel great. This is the beginning of my journey. Its a long and hard journey. This is my journey to become...... ANIMAL.

Sup, fellas. I'm G in Minnesota. I'm in my fifties (and look like it) and have been lifting for most of my life, although I last competed in the late 70's/early 80's.

Setting a goal this year to look more like a bodybuilder and less like a powerlifter. I'm too old to put up with the crap found on other boards, and hoping to learn and earn the respect of others on this forvm.

Yeah, I was in the gym today despite the holiday and was surprised to see how many others turned out! Hope to find a few other Twin Citians on board; I generally workout at the Arena Club in Minneapolis or one of the other Lifetime Fitness joints around the area.

Hey all. I'm still new here although I been putin around a couple months now. Thought I should intro...

My name is Mark. I am 41, 6'4" and about 225 lbs as I type this. BF is somewhere around 18%

I just started this chapter in my life fall of 06 at age 40.

I rolled into age 40 being really fat, out of shape, tired and always in pain. I looked and felt about 30 years older than I was. Plain and simple, I was sick of it, literally! I decided to make a change once and for all after many failed attempts over the last decade. At age 40, I realized if I am ever going to do it, I need to do it now before I develop serious health issues and the journey becomes even harder.

Late 2006 I started with my diet first. I cut out all bad crap basically and started eating and drinking the good stuff. Coffee, soda, sugar, treats all bye bye, healthy whole, live and organic foods hello.

My next step was to add in cardio. I started walking and progressed until I was walking/jogging a lot 4 times or more a week.

In less than 4 months I had burnt off about 70 lbs of body fat and had made a major jump in my health. I started lifting some light dumbbells and strap on weights over the summer as I exercised and had got to a spot where I was actually in better shape than I was when I was in my 20s! I had lost my fat and got back in shape.

This left me with something I did not like in the mirror though... NO MUSCLES!!!

I started to read up on bodybuilding and got a weight set and in August of 07 I became an addict.

I've made progress and have come to realize that at 41 I am still growing! I have a long way to go as I am still weak and have small muscularity compared to other guys my size but that is only a fact that motivates me all the more towards the goal that I will achieve!

I am here to learn, I am here to lift and I am here to grow!

I have quickly become an Animal at heart and couldn't be more happy about finding you guys here on this board. I'm going to get to meet some of you in Delaware next month at the ABC.

Rock on!

Mark

I am mainly here to feel normal, talk to people about lifting the way I feel. So hello and I look forward to talking to you all. Thanks, Winnovater, Miltown , WI

So, I'm probably in the minority here, being a female. I've been lifting for about 14 years and into serious bodybuilding for 2 years. I competed in 2006 and plan on hitting my first national qualifier next summer...hopefully as a heavyweight. I live, work and train in San Angelo, TX.

Anytime I need a kick in the ass, I go to animalpak.com and read a couple articles. Next thing you know, I'm ready to go to the gym and tear down the walls.

Hello from Castle Rock, CO. I have been lifting off and on for the past 15 years. My father (RIP) was a big fellow and got me into lifting when I was thirteen. Since I have little will power and self esteem issues I haven't much to show for those 15 years. This is the reason why I decided to sign up to the FORVM; everytime I read an Animal add or read "Diary of a Madman" I get motivated to get off my ass. Don't misunderstand, I'm not here to leach off of everyone else for motivation, I start my new Journey today so I look forward to sharing my experiences and hopefully I can add some inputs here and there and maybe even spread some motivation for others. Thanks.

Whatsup guys. My name is alex and I think I am the only one on here from RI. I'm 19 years old and I am a powerlifter. I have been lifting since I was 16. I was in a motorcycle accident about a half a year ago. I was lucky enough to get up and walk away from it (without going to the hospital) which was probably a dumb choice. Considering the amount of roadrash and blood going down me. My shoulder was injured and I couldn't lift for some time and it broke me pretty well. 2 months ago I stepped back into the gym with even more intensity than I had before. My previous numbers were Bench - 265x2 Squat - 365x1 - Deadlift 405x1 (Sumo). I'm 5"10 175lbs. I am a hardgainer. I eat relentless throughout the day and wakeup in the middle of the night for an optimum serious mass serving. Like many of you A lot of poeple dont understand me, I go through the same scoldings simply because I give a shit. I cook all my own meals 5x a day and yes, do all the dishes. I'm glad to have found this forum, hope to get to know you all better. Thanks very much - Alex

Fella's, and possibly ladies. You can just call me Cain or Brother Cain if you prefer. I'm a returning lifter. Started my journey back in 2000, got derailed by marriage and then inevitably divorce. I was an ISSA certified personal trainer and I was lifting solid for two years before I met my now ex wife. Thought about trying to go pro but really had pause at the thought of roids. Then the ex started saying she didn't like me getting bigger, so it all went down the crapper. First discovered animal during my first go, this site didn't have half the stuff it does now. Nice to see the success of good products. My goal? Domination.

I humbly step across the threshold of the F O R V M, feeling like fresh fish... no particular experience in how to get around in places like this. However, I trust this engagement will inspire me to withhold my commitment to bodybuilding, and force my efforts beyond the point of where I'm currently standing.

What about me as a person then? Some fast facts about the fresh fish: My name is Thomas, born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1979. Studying to be a high school teacher in English and Swedish languages. Been training for a few years now... maybe four or five, I don't know. How could one keep track of those things? I suppose my interest in bodybuilding was brought to life by an old friend of mine who spent a lot of time in the gym. But before i even got interested however, I remember thinking that this friend of mine was totally insane spending five days a week at the gym. Look at me now - now I'm doing what he used to do. He was right, I was wrong.

Started up again last February, was making good progress up until about June when all my lifting buddies decided to quit goin. Right now I am looking to lose about 35 lbs, then start bulkin' back up to wherever I feel like is a good point for me. If I feel I could ever compete, I may just do that.

Work in IT, not the typical IT nerd everyone pictures in their head, and no I dont have glasses, and no I dont live with my olds, havent since I was 17. Just to get those images out of your head. haha. Came across this forum when I started taking animal products, its good here, no stupid replies and everyones serious. Anyway good luck to all with their goals.

Sup Fellas! Just wanted to drop a few lines about myself and my goals so that everyone would kinda get an idea about who I am. First, I'm not a body builder. At the moment, I'm a overweight 32 y/o male in Virginia. I just started taking Animal Cuts, along with some megaman Multivitiams, and nitro tech. Been on all three Since the 1st of Jan, and I have been mixing in Cardio 4 times a week. So far, I have lost 4 pounds and my energy level has increased in leaps and bounds. My goal is get from 240lbs, to 190lbs. I've totally changed my diet, quit drinking, never have smoked. I'm 5'8", and according to the doctors, i'm supposed to weigh in at around 145 or so. But in my mind, that would make me a stick which I never want to be. So, if anyone has any sugestions, advice, or just plain wanna offer some motivation, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the site and all the information!

David

Ow do fella's, stumbled across this delight of a site and so far it has been awesome. Good reading and some hardcore training exactly what I like. Now then me I'm 5'11'' 210lbs and a bit soft round the edges. Always been into training recently found the joys of the iron after stints as a boxer and many years of getting bashed about on the Rugby pitch i'm taking some me time and using it in the gym. Just give me my music and let me go.

Hopefully I'll speak to a good few of you in due course. O yeah I'm from up Norf in th UK.

Im almost 21 years old and was referred to this site from a cousin on the SWAT team. He trains at 24 hr in San Ramon and told me this is the only site I'll need. I am 6"1 180lbs, around 9% bf looking to make real gains this year. Lean and mean. I have been reading about gymjones and their philosophy and think this website will be perfect for me. I come from a family of law enforcement, military, teachers, and hard workers. Im a third year junior at SSU hoping to graduate next year, then serve my country. I'll take any advice I can get. I am looking forward to joining a knowledgeable, reputable, humble community such as this one. With that said, it finally has stopped raining, im riding to the gym. Peace

Sup guys. My name is Kirk and I write all the way from Luton, UK. I am 20 and pumpin' iron from age 15 or so, but seriously started a year ago, and by this point lost like 45 kg...(sorry have no idea how much is that in Lbs...).
Originally I am from Estonia...it is a small country near Russia, and my full name is Kirill...but not one of english or american people could say that properly yet...Em I started to go to the gym because I was big...a fat asshole at the age 19...and a goal was to loose waight, but looking at my brother, who was a pro back home i decided to go further and not only build a good physique but also to be...an animal, to be huge. So hope to learn from you hear and get to know people in US, who are more closer to bodybuilding, than we are here...
Peace ya all!

Hey all, pumped to be here!

My story:

41, 5'8", let life get the best of me for many years and realized in November '07 (227 lbs) it was time to change or suffer the consequences as I get older. Been on a good diet, working out 3x a week, doing cardio, and started yoga (yes, yoga). Now in week 7, i'm in a good routine in life, have definitely added some muscle, and am at 220 currently. I realize it's gonna be a long journey (roughly 170-175 is where I want to get to), and I realize my goals may be different than others here, but I look forward to reading, learning, and contributing (if I can) to this great forum!

Yo whats up fellas (and ladies)? My name's Ian and I'm 16 years old. I'm 6'6.5'' and weigh about 230 lbs. I'm a junior in high school in north/central Massachusetts. I play football and basketball but I rather lift then be on the field/court. I've been training for the past year to basically better myself in these sports and lose weight (I was always the fat kid growing up). I've seen immediate results in my physique and my quality of play- being named to 3 all star football teams. My goals are to lean out then pack on some serious muscle and get up to about 270 lbs.

Been a member on here for a couple of weeks and this is my first post. I love this site for all of it's features. So hopefully i'll be hitting it up a lot more often.

Have fun training, go for broke, and leave it all out there!

I got into bodybuilding to change the way i was livin. I made alot of mistakes in my short life but i am changing my ways. i started liftin in highschool for football but the summer of my freshman year i broke my back in 2 places and my sternum in 3. i was in the hospital for 3 days and on bed rest for for 3 weeks and couldn lift for about 6-7 months. i lost some of my strength and muscle and also gained weight. i have shed about 25lbs of fat so far and am currently at 185 5'11. i have just recently started back liftin but i have to start out slow and light to get my form down. it gets frusturating at times but i am young and have my life to dedicate to bodybuilding. well yall thats pretty much the short story of me, if u got any ? just ask. i expect to get alot of shit for bein so young but i can take it. lol.

Whud up schlades and gentiles... Just finally got signed up on this thing and am ready to soak it all in. I know most of the pros here already, I've been to the cage 3 times and even got to help work it a little last year at the Classic. It's what made the trip honestly. Aside from having a kid who nagged all the time and one to ripped the wall paper off the walls at night working the cage deffinatly made it. Byrd is a very close friend of mine, and hopin' to make his crew to help out again this year!

Aside from all that, I just moved to Idaho... lookin for some dudes who dont fuck around up here in the north west. Honestly, aside from the guys I play ball with right now there are a bunch of panzies accounted for. Please give a shout out of your halfway close, maybe can get a serious pump session goin lol.

As for lifting wise... have yet to compete, due to being in it to win it.. and not just to say I compete. Playing arena ball right now for the Boise Burn and getting my goals in check for the up coming year. Plan on competing at at least 2 meets this year and trying to get my damn mind right for a bodybuilding show. Been lifting seriously for about 5 years now, but when the Big Byrd and I crossed paths it became something a little more. It's time for reality to set in and for me to start collecting trophies, and hopefully some damn supp sponsors! lol

Hey all,

I love the sound of this forum, no bullshit in = no bullshit response ! I'm Dave, just turned 22 and as of this morning 158 pounds and 5 foot 9 inches tall. Approximately mid september I was 180 pounds and with a calorie controlled diet and cardio, have managed to get it down to this weight.

I'm still not lean at all, and I think incorrect nutrition with pure cardio has meant that the 22 pounds of weight lost has been a reasonable amount of muscle too.

So, my goals for the next few months ? Muscle gain ! I've got myself some animal pak, Whey protein and casein for the night. I've also got Animal Pump, M-Stak and Stak. I don't plan to use the latter three until some plateaus need busting - unless you guys recommend otherwise !

Thanks for reading,

Hey guys, I've been reading all the training articles Animal put up and have finally decided to bite the bullet and join the Forvm. Hopefully I can get some solid information and encouragement from here as the iron game is certainly a lonely one for me, without a training partner who wants to go hardcore. I'm 20 from the UK and have been lifting for the past 3 years, but only seriously for the last 18 months. I'll be posting all my stats in the Journey section along with my diet and training regime. Hope to see some of my fellow warriors there.
Peace.

Hello Fellow Trainers. I'm from Northern Minnesota (God's Country- No one else wants a part of it!) Live in a very Rural area and due to this my training is done at home.
Long story short... Got into training during Football in HS - 9 Man Football Team (who by the way has one 65 straight games & 5 straight state Championships.
Went to college- trained hard and got good results. Met the love of my life & got married- training started to suffer. Had 2 Boys- Training became extinct (used a Bowflex-sucked). Really started to miss it! Put a weightroom in my house when I built knowing I would be back with the iron someday. Got myself some 90lb SelectTech DB and a nice Barbell set & Rack this fall and started training my ass of again. Happy to be back with the iron.
Started eating Very Clean this year.

Ready to rock.
Right now I am 5'10" and 220. Around 14% BF *which I would like to reduce.

Thanks in advance for any tips you folks give me.

wassup everyone
first of all i got to say that i am so freaking happy to have discovered this place. The atmosphere, the people, the articles..all these are so goddam motivating. all i wanan do is turn on some heavy metal music and pump iron.

Anyway here comes the boring stuff, i'm gonna introduce myself. How did i discover my passion for iron? It's simple. As a teenager i was short and fat. I was bullied and didn't have the balls to talk to girls. Then me and my parents moved to england (from mauritius). Here i started to grow up and made a new life and new friends. first i discovered weed then i discovered dumbells. Later on i stopped the weed but stuck with the dumbells. I have been training on and off for three years. However for the last year i have been going hard at it, discovering what works for me, building the mind muscle connection, teaching myself proper technique. however in here i am an ant amidst giants.
I trained mostly at home, building myself up and earning the right to have a gym membership. That's something that i'm gonna get at the start of february. I'm so happy to have come here. I will be able to gain so much info, inspiration, knowledge. i am simply thrilled.
Anyway nice to meet ya all.
have a good day

Hey it's with much excitement that I've found a haven. I am a soldier currently deployed to the land of sand. I've noticed that there are many other military members and it's good to see that there's advice available for people like me when it comes to building their bodies. I started lifting weights at a young age and got serious about five years ago. I never expected to be a "bodybuilder" but kinda progressed into it and now I want to achieve certain goals. Two reasons I joined this site: 1. I like the Animal Pak products, and 2. I need advice from professionals. Before I make this too long I'm gonna shut up, but if anybody's knows some tricks of the trade for a soldier trying to bodybuild successfully I'd appreciate a shout. Peace.

Sup everyone!
31 year old law enforcement officer in Louisiana here. Hitting the rack again after a 6 year rest (lol). Anyway, I finally made it back to my favorite addiction. I love the iron and probably overtrain like a mad man, but I think we all do that a little. Trying to get my routine back down and strength back. Looking good so far. Dropped from 215 (mostly belly) to 185. Now just have to get back to 200 with good muscle and not fat. Looking forward to learning and contributing.

New here, 28 y/o law enforcement officer from NJ. Im looking to recapture some of my glory days on the weights. Former football player and powercleaning nut looking to gain some of my playing day strength. Not as thick or as strong. Im 6'1, used to be around 240lbs now down down 205-210. Only good thing is people tell me I look great!! Haha!! Main goal is to reagain a lot of strength. If I regain some nutty strength...even better!! Look foward to getting and giving some pointers!! Hi my name is Chris but everyone calls me wodka, it has to do with my last name that's original polish. I'm from Belgium and I work in the military as a soldier almost for 11 years now. I understand and can read English but writing is something else, I hope you can forgive me as I type some mistakes.
I started to work out as I arrived in the army, the meaning that I've signed in to this forum is to learn what other people have experienced (good and bad things) so that I can train as effectively as possible... Thanks

whats up guys , i have been training on and off for the last 3 years
only 2 of those have been full on due to injuries and a whole heap of other
misfortunes , i joined so that i could get solid advice on every aspect of traing ,nutrition,
supplementation
my main reason for joining the forum was so that i would not need the advice of a 'showboater' in the gym , you know the kind who goes to talk , hand out useless advice and pick up girls .... not for me i need real advice from people who live train

My name is Mark, I go to school in MN, but I am originally from the Dirty South. I started lifting my junior year of high school to get better for soccer. I had always eatin healthy, but with the stuff I learned from this site I started to grow. I went from being 6'4" 190 lbs. soccer player, to 225 lbs. at the end of my senior year. I continued to lift as I went through my first two years of college and made it to 270 lbs. I then got asked to race for the college cycling team, bye two friends of mine. I decided to race and lost 50 pounds.

I went home this Christmas, and stepped into the old gym that I had once worked at in high school. My blood boiled. Everything just clicked. It was like getting bit by an old bug, even better... by an ex-girlfriend. Anyways, I went in and told my jacked older brother I wanted to max out the big three.

so I did.
deadlift, 315 from the floor 6 times
squat, 275x8
bench press, 225x3... always been my weak point because my arms are so long.
Anyways. The last month has been spent not lifting, due to my class this month being in a field station on the Canadian border. In a week I return to school, and my first stop is the grocery store, and then the gym. Its good to be back. I am now weighing in at about 240 lbs, at about 14%. My new goal is 300 by the end of the summer.

Hey guys, I'm 18 years old, 120lbs 5'7"... to make it simple, I'm tiny. However, I'm highly motivated to get my weight up. I recently just found an old weight bench in my crawl space that I set up in my room. I don't know of many good ways to train so I'm here for some useful advice and constructive criticism. I have excellent endurance. I'm not necessarily a body builder, but I'm interested in weight training and I look foward to meeting new people to help me out.

What's goin on, this is J.B., 50 yrs. old and just completed 1 year. I want to commend everyone here at the forum, what a help you guys have been. I wasted the first 6 months of working out from not knowing what to do, what to eat, or how to do it properly. Then I found this site and this forum. I Thank You All!! I still don't have my diet perfect and still learning how to lift proper, and let me tell you it's not been an easy task trying to change to a bodybuilder lifestyle. I did get my first order of Animal-Pak and Animal M-Stak 4 days ago and am really lookin forward to using the Animal products. Once again THANKS, J.B.

Sup bro's...rivius05 here. I'm 24 and have been training for about 5 years--just finishing school out here on the West Coast. Weight training/bodybuilding has interested me ever since I was young...first time I stepped into an actual gym I got this rush and wanted to throw some weights through the roof--so I admit I'm an addict. I checked out this site a couple of years ago and found that there's not anything like it...it kicks a$$, plain and simple. It's awesome to see how many other people are dedicated and want to improve.

I want to get down to business in 08 and see how much of an iron crunching, freak lifting animal I can become...excited to be a part of this forvm as well. No excuses, just hard a$$ work. Peace

Let me intro myself. I am 35, female from Philly and I have only been lifting for 18 months. I weigh about 126 and I am at 19% BF so far. I came here because I was invited from another site and I really want learn all I can to reach my goal of maybe one day competing in body building (not figure) and being under 13% BF. I currently weight train 6 days a week with 30 minutes of cardio 5 days a week. I am a heavy lifter for my size ( which means you won’t see me in the gym with the freakin pink Barbie weights…) I get a lot of glairs at my gym because I am so small and lift pretty heavy .I am not saying I can dead lift 300pds (yet) but I can dead lift 195pds….lol
I don’t see any females in most of the posts here so I hope I can get a warm welcome from the fellas……My current supplement stack includes Animal Stak, Nitro and of course Animal Pak. I do Animal cut when I cut in the warmer weather.Well that is me hola back!

I'm a 37 year old female, fighting the never ending "Battle of the Bulge". My husband (Mr. Dead) brought me to this site, stating that there was a wealth of information here, and that it would help give me an insight to the drive that he has, and maybe help me to develop my own mindset and passion for the iron. Right now, its more me versus my own laziness.
