Are you on a bulk, cut, just maintaining?
Discuss.

For me, winter is always bulking season. Currently, I shoot for about 4,000 calories per day broken up into 6 meals. I take in roughly 50% carbs, 25% protein and 25% fat.

Actually start bulking today.... specs are 5'8" 208# Bf~11%. Goal 225-230# in 8-10w with about the same bf. Diet looks like: 4950cal: 509g prot, 545 carb, 85g fat. Eating lots with 2 weight gainer shakes... any comments and critiques are welcome...

Currently working on a strength cycle. I primarily eat low carb, it just works for me as a FFB. I'm doing TKD at the moment, keeping cals around 3000-3500. Protein and fats high, 50%Fat, 30-40% protein, the rest carbs. (Carbs, other than veggies, primarily consumed right around my workout in the form of oats).

Current stats are right around 215 at roughly 13%. Real goal? Shoot, short term, I want to see 225 without upping the BF anymore. Ultimately, I want to see 225 at around 10% by summer.

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm constantly in pursuit of mass trying to steadily work my way up to 260 and beyond.

4000-6000 kcals a day. @ 400g of protein. Some days up to 3 full servings of Real Gains. 9 out of 10 meals are clean with a cheat whenever the mood (or the sweet tooth) strikes.

You're all gonna laugh @ me, but i'm on a poor college kid diet.

LOTS of Ramen. lol. I buy huge 50-60lb bulk orders of Protein Powder from Allthe Whey off of eBay though.

i eat lots of chicken and red meat when i can.. i NEVER turn down a free meal either. parents come out, we're going to a steakhouse or something of the sort.

I would have more money to buy good clean foods, but I was in motorcycle wreck and now i'm left paying lots of surgery deductibles and hospital bills, and still got truck payments, insurance, and rent... but oh well. that shit will go away someday.

i still get stronger everyday though... i personally don't believe the whole 1.2-1.5g protein per lb/lbm.

maybe i'm genetically lucky in that area.

Not doing much for a diet rioght now. Just trying to get back into the swing of things after a long break I never wanted to take.

Eating 300g protein a day, and not counting carbs. I eat clean and the body fat will drop and the srength will come back. Thats where my heads at right now. Ill tune things towards losing bodyfat next month cause Im headed to Cuba or some where sunny in april. After that Ill try to put some more size on over the summer.

Diet looks like this for anyone whos curious:

Meal 1: 6 egg whites, 2 whole eggs scrambled
2 pieces of multi tgrain toast
1 big glass of 2% milk

Meal 2: shake= 2 scoops of whey protein
12 Oz 2% milk
1 banana
some yogurt

Meal 3: Tuna sandwhich with cheese and some pickles to add taste
( I fuckin hate tuna!!)
20 Oz water to wash it down

Meal 4: Shake same as meal 2

Meal 5: PWO shake: 2 scoops protein
20 Oz 2% milk
3 whole eggs
1 scoop peanut butter
yogurt for taste

Meal 6: This one varies alot, but I always get at least 50 grams of protein for this one, be it read meat, chicken or fish. im trying to use alot of variety cause i just got my GF to start eating better and train at the gym for her health so its important to try and keep her eating healthy and shit.

Later for now,

Thor

I'm cutting up right now. Started just after Thanksgiving....and i've cut down from 217 to 203. I hit the weights in the morning and do cardio about 3 times a week. For my body, intense lift sessions and proper diet suffice and I don't need tons of cardio.....thank GOD! Keeping carbs to an absolute minimum in my last 2 meals of the day has proven effective as well.

Quick note.....I recently discovered while cruising the canned tuna isle at the grocery, that they sell seasoned chicken in sealed pouches...all you gotta do is microwave for 30 seconds and your golden.....and they taste great. It's a beautiful beautiful thing.

I've started bulking within the past 2 weeks. Whenever I bulk I look pregnant so I'm trying to clean up somewhat. Usually for breakfast its 6-8 full eggs and a cup of oats with peanut butter. For a snack later I'll have 2 scoops real gains with oats and peanut butter. For my second meal I'll eat 6-8 oz lean beef with a cup of white rice. Same snack after that. Same meal after that, and sometimes I will add in an extra meal around dinner time (mostly carbs, not too dirty of at all). Before bed same snack as before. The only thing I hate about bulking is the monotany of eating and my girlfriend makes fun of my stomach (I've never had ripped abs, only flat at a few points in my bodybuilding career). My scale says im 224 at 30% bodyfat with 50lb water weight. I fluctuate bodyfat between 26-40% which higher 30% being rare around afternoon. My last workout during my deadlifts (205lb, 8 reps, 4 sets) I almost puked. So during bulk I have great intensity. I don't usually do cardio as I'm sick to my stomach and beat after my workouts. Any ideas on how to cut the gut without losing muscle? I take animal pak. Pre-workout I have 1 scoop storm, 1 scoop shock therapy & 1 scoop ultra isowhey. Post-workout I have a nitro g. I also take ZMA at night. I'm going to start taking Universal Natural Sterol Capsules soon.

I'm doing a slow cut. Trying to drop a half pound of fat a week while still adding strength and muscle. So far, so good. Cycling carbs and getting 300+ g of protien and 60g of good fats per day. 5' 9", 210 and holding with visable fat loss. Been putting dextrose in my water when I workout for a blast since carbs are low. Pre workout is 1/2 cup of ground oats, 16g of dextrose, 1 TBLS of olive oil, 5g of glutamine and 2 scoops of whey. Post is 1/2 cup of oats, 20g of dextrose, 5g of glutamine and 2 scoops of whey. I take Nitro and BCAA's at the end of my workout. Stack 2 and Pump pre.

I currently am eating everything in sight to get to 250 ish (currently 232). 3800-4200 cals per day and all the carbs and protein I can get.Like G. said, mostly clean but I don't freak out if I drop in the Krispy Kreme if the light is on. Now come summer and close to my first show prep, I think strict will be a light word to describe the diet (I think).

cutting. i'm 5'10, 197 @ about 14% BF. well, i call it a cut diet, but i'm trying to maintain weight while cutting fat and building muscle. my RMR hovers around 2200, so i'm eating about 1800/day and running before i lift. because i have to pass army PT tests, i run a 2-mile route with sprinting intervals, so my cardio is limited to about 15 minutes at a time, but i seem to be getting good results.

trying to eat about 220g protein/250g carbs with as little fat as possible unless it's from olive oil, nuts, or fish.

supps: eas advant-edge whey protein, animal pak and animal cuts

i'm trying to get to 9% BF and 200 lbs. any suggestions?

I am not training for a show now and for a 112lb woman, I can freakin' chow down some food. I eat whenever I am hungry...usually around every 2 or so hours. I eat loads of protein...usually about 200g or more per day. My fats are always clean (minimal saturated), around 40g per day, give or take, and my carbs vary, around 200g per day...usually pretty clean though..not alot of sugars..maybe on the weekends; I love my ice cream.

I never turn down a good meal! If you take me home to mom, make sure she has enough food for a second helping 'cause I am far from shy at the dinner table.

Currently bulking, getting around 3500-4000 calories, 350 grams of protein, 500 grams carbs, and fats from all sorts of oils, natty pb, etc...

My main foods are chicken, steak, tuna, eggs, white rice, ezekial bread, asparagus...the usual.

Right now I am at 252 lbs, 18% bf, and I hope to hit 260 before I start cutting.

I am just about to start a cutting diet, eventhough I don't have a contest in mind as of yet, I might shoot for Mr. Natural Ohio in September. I have NEVER been cut in my life, but have come a LONG way since I was that fat ass in gym class busting my balls to get 10 push-ups. I currently weight 271 lbs w/ about 20% BF. I am working w/ a trainer who is cooking me up w/ a sweet diet plan. I am also going to the beach in June and I wanna be shredded! I wanna be 8% BF when I go there and from there worry about competing!

I'm currently on "trying not to eat my mom's food" diet. She's a great cook and it's hard not to go overboard. She cooks chinese food. I cut down on the rice and sometimes i eat no rice. I'll eat all the vegetables, meat, fish. Drink lots of water with lemon. I'm currently on Unidyn & green tea extract. I'm feeling good. Lost some lbs already.

There is a link to my progress pictures below if you are interested and feel free to comment. I appreciate and feedback or advice as i love this sport and want to achieve something in it. I am on a bullk right now, been on it for a couple weeks . I eat 6-7 meals a day, my cheat day is leg day and i probably top 7000 cals that day
I am 6'1'' and 260 right now, will probably keep the bulk for another 6 weeks ( want to hit 270) and then try to dry out again.
right now i eat breakfast, lunch, and supper in the chow hall with the trainees, around 2 hours after breakfast is my first snack- GDiesels shake and a sandwich, same for 2 hours after lunch. Supper is at 1800- in the gym from 1900-2100 and then eat another meal with my wife at home around 2130. the snacks avg 750-1000 cals, so I think my daily avg is 5000-6000 cals/day.
i try to maintain at least 400-500 g portien /day which is easy cuz in order for me to eat it , it had to have died ( meat) as far as veggies i cant stand cooked but will eat raw veggies.

That's good shit bro props to you for that diet, bulks are great. I can only keep down 5000 cals/day at most, but usually stay around 4500/day on a bulk. I'm only 5'11 205 offseason and 182 on, so I'm not too worried about it because my appetite inceases with my size. I can't wait to weigh upwards of 240 in a couple years though and be able to eat like that. Peace.
