View Full Version : possibly a bloating issue??

Ive had a search around but not really found the answer im after.
When i wake up in the morning my stomach is flat and i can see my abs nice. But by the end of the day i cant see them as defined and it feels like i have more FAT on my abs than i do in the morning. I imagine it will be partly down to water retention accumulating through the day, but that doesnt really explain why it feels like i have more fat than in the morning?

its from eating and drinking all day bro,the same thing happens to me..

Me too. I guess one just can't starve to have those abs 24/7.

everybody goes thru that

in the morning i can do a vacum and see my ribcage
at night i look pregnant

totally normal

start worrying
when in the mornings you dont see those abs

Sounds like you may lack development of the abdominals, sufficiently low body fat, or both that are causing them to not show throughout the day. Addressing what ever factor is the problem should be easy.

I know that it feels that way, but fat does NOT deposit that quickly. Just like any other tissue, it takes time, more time than is in one day.

The bloating effect is most likely due to stomach contents, water retention, etc.

What happens when you first drop carbs? You lose water right? You look leaner but you aren`t really, you`ve lost the water and bloat, you have to decide if you are bulking with high carbs and are willing to some bloat or you want abs and no bloat in which case you aren`t bulking.

you're kidding? I'm cutting and I'm the same... I'm lean when I wake up and I'm pregnant before going to bed lol

I think it's mostly due to the water we drink... when waking up in the morning I haven't been drinking water for 8 hrs (except a glass when I wake up to piss), but by 9pm I have already taken in almost 2 gallons of water

drinking water doesn't make you retain water in the long hault, but if right now you're gonna drink 5 8oz glasses of water you're gonna be bloated

when i was dieting i was never bloated, also since i am doing the carb cut offs
i am not bloated
