for some people it can be a time issue for me it is that I way 260lbs and in order to eat as much calories and protien as I need it is nearly impossible to do without shakes now when I dont have work to worry about I get all from solid food but that can't happen all the time.

here is you'r problem as I see it you are trying to do too many things at once some say it is possible but almost everyone will tell you it is not... you need to pick one thing or the other and at you'r weight and bf% I would focus on building muscle, now you wont be able to have you'r beach body because in all likleyhood you will put on a bit of bf% but in you'r position I would either cut where you will lose a bit of strength and size or bulk where you will put on a bit of body fat those are the most likley of options.

i asked coz in many threads i read, they are always saying add whey protein or torrent or real gains, etc. But when i checked that how much protein i can have from chicken breast (500g = 145g protein) and egg whites and for carbs are rice, banana, chapati and bread. I dont say that i need 400g of protein and carbs right now but if can have it from whole food then i do not need it, right.

no in you're case you got a great plan down to get all you're protien from food shakes are not necessary I would eat the eggs post w/o with maybe some gatoraide eggs are fast absorbing protien and gatoraide will shuttle the protien quickly.

food is always a greater alternative to shakes. keep up the good work, i love to actually hear someone is taking in more solid meals than shakes. dont see that alot anymore.

thank you for your reply , i think if i can get the amount of required macros from the whole food then i do not need any protein sups or weight gainer.
lets say 1kg or 36oz of chicken breast costs here $3 which has about 290g protein. and if i take whey sup for 150g protein which will cost me $5.5. so whole food has more protein and it is cheap.
