I first started this bodybuilding back last year. Started out at 6-3 175 pounds. I am now up to 210 and a good size boy. I am about to start my first cut and I'm nervous as "f*%$. I am a hardgainer and keeping my size, or so I have heard, will be the toughest part of my job.

Right now I am taking in 5000 calories + and am on Test/Stak/Pak/Torrent. I upped my calories due to test as trying to get some much needed pounds. But this time I have put on alot of body fat. I need to clean my diet up which will help alot, But I am un-sure when to do my cardio. I know I do it after my weights, and I drink my Torrent not after my weights but after my cardio ....correct? Cardio should be mild intensity.

If I threw in Nitro or a EAA to help maintain the mass. Should I take that directly after my cardio with torrent, or right after my weights. Any little tidbits would help from you boys. Thanks

if you are gonna cut
why take torrent?

either way
do your cardio after weights

if you walk
i dont see the need of eaas

after you are dont with cardio
take eaas or torrent
whatever you want to take

Give us an example of your regular bulking diet bro.

When cutting, you will find EAA/BCAA's to be one of your best friends. Wait till you have finished your test/stak cycle then begin the cut. In the meantime, you can start incorporating cardio gently into your routine, so by the time you reach your cut you are hitting the cardio full steam.

Best time to do cardio on a cut is before your 1st meal. To fully benefit from this and your training, its wise to just do the cardio 1st thing on an empty stomach, then if you work out lunchtime/evening, maybe run some cardio after that session too.

In regards to supplement timing. If doing cardio 1st thing on empty, have some EAA/BCAA's both before and after that cardio. Then Around w/o's, take EAA's/BCAA's before you hit post w/o cardio. Any extra's like Whey should be after cardio.

My bulk diet is what you would called a dirty bulk. (This is where I will get rid of most of my fat for sure)

Only thing I have consistant with it , is , I wake up take my Pak and weight gainer shake and eat 5 Eggs with Few pieces of toast.

The rest of the day I eat whatever I see ( chicken .tuna ect is there) but everything else goes. This is where my problem is I can see it right now. Your help on the Bcaa/eaa is awesome , now I can rap my brain around that and get that settled. Thanks

Might be a dumb question (no such thing right) but Mexican you said why take torrent when I'm cutting? Whats the issue with that. I might of missed this but is Torrent only for bulking?

Generally when cutting, a vast majority of people will cut WAY down on their carbs... And, I think K.A.M. was referring to the amount of carbs found in Torrent...

yeah for some people who are cutting the 50g of carbs will be half or even more than half of their carb intake for the day

Myself, I'm currently on a 50/50/75/100 split... Those are my DAILY amounts of carbs for the day... There are others that go zero carb...

Torrent post w/o shouldnt be an issue when on a reg low carb, carb cycled diet. The specialised carbs in Torrent + The bodys hunger to replenish glycogen post w/o would mean the carbs are used for this purpose only and to help draw other nutrients into muscle tissue. Carbs turning to fat stores post w/o shouldnt be a problem. It all depends on your approach and structure of the diet you set out.

Im also cutting. Taking in only neccesary carbs like oats, brown rice, sweet potatoe for fuel before w/o. I have no simple carbs apart from 50g Waxy Maize post w/o and cut all carbs after that. Ive dropped a lot of water and excess BF in only a couple weeks. My lean mass is intact.

Carbs can be your friend if you structure and utilise them properly. A lot of peeps get scared of them, but thats only from there missuse and not understanding when best to eat certain types, along with how many per sitting. Learn how your body reacts to them and the timing of them.

Well said. Sometimes it's as simple as getting rid of the real shit, and keeping just enough of the good stuff to drop the weight for the summer months or the contest. Nice response.

I agree with all the bro's on this thread. When cutting adjust your carbs that best get results for you. I am like you I am a hardgainer and I have trouble putting on size. Now that the i have kicked the mass into gear I am affraid of looseing it when I cut. but am to just going to adjust my carbs keep my protein high and use EAAs/BCAAs and work my ass of with cardio.
