Great event today. Greg Long's gym is old school, hardcore and he is a great man. The lifting events were cool. I have the video's of the bench competition (have to upload them) and Angst has the videos of the farmer's walk. We ate at a great chinese buffet afterwards. All in all a great day. Poor BigAnt was sick, he showed up though.

Great turn out today. Many thanks to Greg Long,he was a most gracious host this afternoon and loved having the animal's in the gym.He told me that it was a great thing that we were doing for the sport.
Big Ant showed up even though he was sick.Nice to see you Big Ant!
Greg Long's gym was awesome,old school baby! A great time was had by everyone.

Hey Joey,
I noticed through the pics that you were doing Front Squats and with your hands stretched out in front of you..like you advised me at the NYC PRO...
I have yet to try that out, but I will actually start incorporating it in my upcoming Tuesday session..I look forward to it and you looked good!
Wish i could have been there, but I know for sure I will be there for the Jersey Event..should be a good one in itself..

You guys were pushing me to go beyond what I've done. Set a PR ob BB curls today and did some bench dips that was brand new to me. Awesome event, as always.

Tremendous event today... Amazing atmosphere in Greg Long's gym. The vibe of hardcore, no nonsense training was very much in the air. A whole crew of bad ass dudes killing themselves to get better--that is what the ABCs are all about. Much love to Wides, Tek, Angry Jon and Angst for training with me and to Big Al for pushing me in the bench-off. We shall meet again, big fella. Peace, G

Great time today, the "Feats of Strength" was a great touch. I believe that Enforcer and Tek did beat me in the farmers walk, hats off to them but it was all in good fun. Lots of energy and intensity with the training today outside of that from everyone's standpoint. Thanks to G, Tek, Angry Jon and Angst for the oppurtunity to train with them today. These events keep on getting better and better each time

Yeah, I had a nasty stomach virus, was up since 3:00am heaving my bile, was a chore just to drive, and lost it again on the way over....Nothing serious, as I feel a bit better, hope it is a 24 hour thing...
DaveK--BIG AND HARD--FOCUSED! Training legs with his son and cousin, his son a high school football stand out--WTF---squats 405, down deep for 10? Is he taking your Universal/Aninmal supplements Dave? Your cousin, not stanger to hard core lifting, was greeat meeting him! Sorry I bailed on the training, and you know how much I love training legs....another day...DaveK---Keep doing what your doing!
BigAl/G bench off, both did outstanding...G down a few pounds from eatng clean looked as he was not going to stop with 250lbs. on the bar---did 31 reps. G set the bar for BigAL....I witnessed BigAl in the gym, after a full chest workout do 29 reps with 315lbs. He did 35 reps with 295lbs. DAMN! BOTH DID THEIR BEST!
VinnyG...Looking good-tight-and contest ready at 206lbs. 6 weeks left for Master Nationals...Freaky veins all over--told me "This year I am not leaving a stone un-turned, going All Out" with a career-family-friends-hobbies---this guy is not joking!
Natural Guy and crew banging arms, NG down some weight also---looking tight and lean, do we smell a contest from the 90's boddybuilder who kicked ass on stage?
Sorry I was NOT the most cordial-vocal this day, my stomach was pretty bad, but I had the tomato pie and could not leave it in my house while contest dieting--LOL And did want to make an apperance...Went back home and crahed in my bed with the A/C on and was drinking a combo of G/2 and Crystal light, as I type no, did not eat anything except 4 hard pretzels, only thing tha won't come up when I get a nasty stomach virus, but feel almost good as new!

Thank you. Thank you, both of you. Thank you. I have no idea what I could possibly say. Thank you, thank you. More thank yous. You two are amazing people. Vinny, training was amazing, no question about that. Very humbling for me to do 2/3 the weight that you were doing, especially with you being on no carbs. Ant, I don't even know what to say here. I've met you twice in person and your one of the greatest people I've ever met. You just don't stop giving. Thank you again, you guys. That just made a very tired man, a very happy one, haha.

What a day! Thanks to everyone who made it. A special thanks to BigAnt and Natural Guy organizing the event and of course to Greg and Gretta for hosting. Greg was like a kid in a candy store yesterday. I could tell that he was having the time of his life and is very, very appreciative. Greg has been my mentor, good friend and someone who I have looked up to since I was 15 years old. Long's Gym is where it all started for me and I owe so much to that place. One I will never forget.
Sorry you weren't feeling well BigAnt. We could tell you were definitly under the weather. Hope the Rav4 isn't too bad....lol. We really missed training legs with you. It was definitly our loss. Hopefully I'll see you today at BB's hittin it hard.
VinnyG you look spot on brother! This is your year! Big to say the least, vascular and hard with 7 weeks left to go.....yikes!!! It will be an honor to stand on stage with you this year when you get your pro card!!!! The day is yours.

Finally, thanks to my brother from another mother, my cousin TimK who has been by my side for 44 years. Great leg day!!!! We don't get a chance to train together much anymore like back in the day. But when we do, we definitly make the most of it......my legs are f*&%in fried. We hammered it with our sons......passing the torch.....yea man!!!!!!

Vinny did indeed look badass... Amazingly impressive. Can't tell you how inspiring guys like Dave K, Joey D, njmuscle66 (Chuck) and Vinny, Ant and Al are. All astoundingly dedicated athletes with the enthusiasm of teenagers. They just keep getting better and better. Peace, G

Had a great at the gathering, my chest is sore and I did not expect to do a double drop on the cable curls, at least not for 25 reps on the last set lol, definitely felt it after that. It was great seeing everybody, looking forward to the next one.

DaveK, I got to look over a couple times and see you and your crew doing those squats. You brothers were hammerin it! I say you guys go 2, 3, 4 pps and have no idea where it stopped but seeing you do 4 pps (were some of them 100's?) and ATG to boot! Serious stuff man. Very inspiring. Keep at it!

E, you running with the 150s is incredible. Most people can't run that fast without holding any weights.

everyone had lots of positive feed back, and i too was kinda shocked at what i looked like, and i got carried away about competing in the atlantic states this comming saturday.
i will not compete until the masters nationals in 7 weeks.
i got all punch drunk and lost my focus...lol
as good as everyone thinks i am, i am far off from stage ready...but thank you so much for all the positive feed back.

My first ANIMAL gathering was an experience. I lifted with my dad DaveK, cousin, and uncle. It was balls to the wall my legs were fried, and still are!! Big Al was throwin that 295 around. ANIMAL!! It will be fun watching my dad and Vinny on stage at Nats! As a young animal, it was inspiring to watch you guys train.
