A little off from normal eating day today, due to some things I have going on:

0630 - Animal Max mixed with 1 cup oats, Pak
0800 - 1 Nitro Pack
0900 - 9 oz chicken, 1 cup barley
1200 - HiProtein Bar
Next meal is yet to be deterimed with time but will most likley be a shake
1730 - 1 Nitro Pack
1930 - A lot of ground beef, 1 tater, 1 cup corn
2100 - More beef
2300 - Animal Max, some pb, Pak, maybe another Nitro Pack

still looks great, nothing wrong here in my opinion.

Been running 2 Pak's a day since August, I like it and the abudance of Nitro is to keep a steady stream of goodies in there when I wont be able to get to food/shake in a while. Might be a method to this madness I call a diet

its a very good carb and digests very well.....keeps me full for a while.


Pardon my stupidity, but how do you eat the barley?

I just cook it according to the package directions, it cooks a lot like rice but is thicker. I just add it to the foods, no seasoning in it or nothing fancy......

I can only image that the PR's slow down as your numbers go up over time. A newbie like me throws a new PR every week but that is because I'm just bustin open the crust with little weights. Once you get up to the poundage you and J are throwin around that PR rate has to slow down. I can't believe the stuff you guys lift off the floor.

Yeah some of them broke the ground but that was about it. Hamstrings were real tight for some odd reason but I still got work in and felt it the next day. As far as the weight goes that we use, there are a lot stronger guys out there and on this board who can pick their teeth with what we use. Just trying to get stronger by using these weights to get adapted to the stresses of lifting. Just gotta improve on it all each time out.

Now that sounds like a tasty treat.....going to give that a try soon (after thanksgiving when I am all turkeyed out). I am just trying to catch up to you in the size department there G through soild foods and heavy balls out training

Thanks Hola, I am 6' and currently weighing in the 250-255 range. I say range because it varies from time to time when I hop on the scale, but falls in that range

Decent session tonight, had a lot of form fuck-ups on the bench earlier on in the session but things seemed to settle down as it went on. Still there is work to be done with my form and I need to get all of that under control cause it doesnt matter how much you do if your form is off. I will work on that since it has to get done. Started off with the HS bench to test out Juggernaut's back and to me it made sense to start off with some upright back support. He had one hell of a session tonight, much respect and props to him for coming in and attacking it the way he did. Biceps are toast......

Much work is needed in a lot of areas, its time to exploit them and make it all second nature

thanks scals.....gotta exploit them weaknessess to make them the strengths. Cause in my mind and how I have my goals planned out I need to be pressing 400+ on a constant basis.....time and hard work will get that done

Thanks IRBS......I think the scary part is that I think I left out some sets that we did. After a while it all becomes one big blurr with the sets. Had a nice pump going as well.

Good looking work -- you're right about form -- do it wrong and you're both likely to hurt yourself AND not hitting the muscle right. Judging from your numbers on the bench, though, I think you have that one nailed!

Decent session first one in a while. The leg press felt good don't know how much that all adds up to but it felt good. Did a lot of form work with the squats, trying to iron out the issues I have. Starting to get out of the funk I've been in, need big things to happen and they will in due time.

Its getting that time to get big and start to use big boy weights

Now, that, I understand. I'm still working on being so careful of my lower back, even though my surgeon has said I can go as hard and heavy as the muscles will bear -- the titanium means the lower spine is probably the strongest part of me, now. I'm not sure I'll ever have the flexibility for from-the-floor deads, but I'm enjoying the hell out of rack pulls.

We all go through times of doubt or even questioning; that's normal. Rather than letting the questions and doubts bite you in the ass, you need to analyze why they've arisen. Is there something this situation is meant to teach you? Is there something you're not paying attention to?

You're a strong SOB, B-Dub. There's no doubt, there. Is the funk from some other distracting factor in your life? Is there some part of you that's not progressing the way you think it should? You don't need to answer me -- answer yourself!

( . . . and, if I'm off-base with all this observation and reflection, you're more than welcome to tell me cheerfully to go fuck myself *grin*)

Well, as soon as I can get my hands on one thats when. That 12 pie limit is bad but if forces us to do reps instead of singles....haha

thanks boom, we do not hit shoulders twice a week with direct work but they do get a ton of work through all the sets of pressing, deadlifting and squatting. By doing one direct exercise for them it allows full and complete recovery before we hit them again indirectly. So far its working but I have a feeling things are about to change.....which is a good thing. Need to get my small ass big

Yeah it looked like a damn good time and all the board pressing pics were great. I do not know if Juggernaut is coming or not....haven't really discussed this with him. But I am looking forward to going up there and playing with big boy toys.

Shocked myself with the pullups, no fucking clue where they came from but I'll take them. Some upper back stuff but did the 45 degree hypers because my lower back needed more work. Good day and it looks like things are moving upwards.

thanks King, the past couple of pulling sessions from the floor have kicked my ass and I had trouble pulling. So I did some racks tonight to not only get the CNS used to handling heavy weights but also to get passed a sticking point in my pull. Gotta make the weak points strong

Where's there a freak? None here, just a dude who like to lift heavy weights and take wildlife management into his own hands by eating a lot. Got a feeling though soon that things are going to change so it will be fun to see where that leads.....

Nah I wouldn't say that, I really haven't changed the way I eat all that much, I think its the way the training sessions have been going, and the scary part is I am doing more cardio now then I did before.....but BIGGER things are yet to come

Hanging Leg Raise - 4x15
Nautiuls Ab Machine - 8 sets 15-10 reps, increasing the weight with each set

Seated Calf Raise - 4x15
Standing Calf Raise - 4x12

35 minutes of cardio at the end

Must have strong abs to have strong lifts

hell yeah, as my lifts increase so does the need to have stronger abs, not only will it help me keep form better but give more push against the belt with a belly full of air.

I do them in one of the half racks we have, I always make sure before I do my set that the area around me is clear of people and if there are some working in the area I tell them what I am going to do and for them to please watch out. The worst thing that could happen would be for someone to get injured while I was performing a lift.....safety is always first for both me and those training around me

There were 2 kids in the gym last night while i was there doing legs. Never saw them before. They were going from one thing to everything but the part worth mentioning is that they were all of 85 lbs socking wet (no exaggeration) but they would walk right into you like you were not even there. They were also setting their Gatorades in the middle of the isles so you had to step around them while carrying 45's over to the leg press.

i finally had enough and when the one turned around and literally walked into me while I was wobbling off one of my heavier sets I said something to him. He bopped into me and sort of bounced off then stood there and looked at me like I was a moron. I non-threateningly (I'm a big pussy cat and you know it) said "kind of like walking into a wall isn't it?" then I chuckled and said "can you please move your drinks out of the center of the isles buddy before someone steps on them and twists an ankle?" "try to be more mindful of other people who are also using the gym equipment around you" then I moved on to my next set. He gave no comment. Probably thought I was bullying him or something stupid like that. Just completely clueless and raised with no respect or regard for others. It's a peeve of mine.

Flat Barbell Bench Press: warmups, 365 x 3, 385 x 1, 405 x 0, 315 x 9, 225 x 18
Seated Plate Loaded Press: 3 sets x 15-10 reps
Flyes Machine Medley: 1 set each of 4 different machines, 20-10 reps per set

Alternating DB Curls: 3 sets, 70s x 6 on last set
Unilateral Nautilus Machine Curls: 3 sets x 15-12 reps
Hammer DB Curls: 3 sets, 95s x 5 reps

Kick ass session with G and Tek. Enjoyed some sandwhiches, Torrent, and some Pop-Tarats afterwards. The fly machine medley was interesting while stimulating at the same time. As always a good time at the ABCs, lots of energy and commeradery between everyone

Definitely a killer session!!! Looks like ya had a great crew onhand, as well...

Thanks fellas, was just as sore yesterday as I was Sunday.....

Well in my non-sleep travels yesterday was looking at some meets for 2009 in PA, NJ, and DE. Found a couple but the fun part is deciding which one to do. The possibilites are (this is just off what was listed on powerliftingwatch.com as of yesterday more meets could be posted):

Decent session, first time doing legs/squats since Thanksgiving so was a tad rusty and everything felt heavy as nuts. Doesn't matter though cause next session it will feel normal again. I was pleased with the 495x2 set, don't know where that came from but I've gotta start aiming for more doubles and triples with my weights to get stronger. The militaries were a nice way to cap the evening off. Juggernaut's back held up very nicely yesterday and it looks like he has recovered from what he did, and G was in there blasting arms looking big..... Deads/tris on Friday, looking forward to that

Don't get me wrong there are a couple of dudes there that know how to train but the majority of it is what I mentioned. But it comes with the territory of training where I do. As for the session, thanks Broc....things will only get better from here on out and it looks like 2009 is going to be a big year

What a difference a week makes for the deads. Everthing was moving very nicely off the floor and I seemed to have found my happy stance with the deads. As for Juggernaut lets just say that he was back and fired up. Seeing what he was doing this close his recovery put a fire under my ass......things are going to start moving upwards again, I think I finally found my head and pulled it out of my ass......

Leg Press Calves - 8 sets 12-10 reps
Dips (all reps done with BW +12lb db) - 14, 10, 8, 6, 7, 6, 5, 4

3 scoops Torrent, 9 OKG

That was it, decent session overall. Again 20lbs is fucking with me and laughing has been since September. It will go down very soon then I will be the one laughing. The 385 went up nicely so my confidence in the bench is increasing. Stayed with 135 on the curls to get some soild work in with that weight in hopes that the biceps will respond nicely. The dips were a ballbuster but a very good one. They can only help in the growth department and lets face it a lot of work needs to be done so I can get to where I want to be in 2009.....

The pause squats were done to teach myself a lesson. Almost wacked a dude who wasn't paying attention with the standing dbs, he saw me throw up the one 90 and preceeded to do his db rows extremely close to the db that I had to swing up. I am glad I was able to get into the gym and train but not how it was done....we all have days like this and I am hoping it gets out of my system soon cause I can't have this shit with me for much longer.....

I had to say something to a guy just last night while I was squatting in the cage. He kept backing up closer and closer until I dang near put the end of the bar down on his shoulder while I had 275 on my neck. That would have made for a nice accident.
