Barbell Rows - 135x5, 225x5, 275x3, 315x3, 365x3
Kept it simple and way from the benchers. Felt good to deadlift and do some rows, prepping for the next wave of trying to get big

Feeling all sorts of fucking wacked after the back session, even the fucking bar felt heavy. Doesn't matter though pulled through and came out pretty decent in the end. Legs today, no idea what to do but all sorts of tight up top. May do something a little different tonight but we shall see.....as a wise man once said "The only way that I am big is if you are comparing me to a jellybean"

Had to drop the pause squats by 30lbs since the condition of the legs would not have been good with getting the reps for the %. The Good Mornings and SLDL were done to stretch out the hammies and get back into the swing of doing them, hence the weight. Big things are yet to come since this is only Week 1 of it. Got chest tomorrow and deads on thursday, abbervated lifting schedule due to I am working this weekend and gotta get in the gym time.

Session 2 in the crammed week, no worries legs were nice and sore. Workout went smooth and the weights felt good. Drank my Torrent/Shock Therapy mix intra, had me some chicken and grape juice with glutamine post.

Barbell Rows - 225x5, 315x3, 365x1
That was it, barbell rows were a bitch hamstrings were tight as hell made it tough. With them deadlifted the bar up then went into the row position so more dead work indirectly. Feeling good after this week, got the first set of percentages for the big 3 in this week. Time for the body to adjust and come after it next week with a normal schedule. Glutamine, BCAA and Pop-Tarts PWO
Time to turn the page, pedal to the metal and asleep at the wheel

Seated Calfs - a lot of sets and reps
SLDL - 135x8, 185x5, 185x5, 185x5, 185x5
Good session tonight, legs are toasted and the squats felt good. Ran out of time so the Good Mornings didn't make it but the SLDL really did the legs in good and was a nice finisher. Hamstrings have been tight lately so figured why not stretch them out

Incline DB - 90lbsx5x5
Raise Combo - 25x8, 25x8, 35x7
Pulldown Abs - 6x12
Was a nice session to get the blood flowing and flush out the fibers. The close grips will only help the bench overall. The Raise Combo goes 8 reps of front raises into 8 reps of side raises into 8 reps bent over rear delt raises. Its a nice burn that helps bring up shoulder stamina for long sessions and tough meets. Was a good session to get things moving in the right direction

That is all she wrote, wanted to get 5 on the 485 sets but I will take three reps. The sets were nice and deep with a controlled pop at the top. Kept the GMs and SLDL simple since everything is pretty well fried from the deads on Friday. Still enjoyed tonight and this week is a gauntlet of training since I have a charity walk on Saturday in Philly. Gotta give back, thats what it is all about.

Still got the work in and broke my balls cause there is someone out there who makes my training look like a pretty boy workout

Must be something to not giving a fuck about others and sticking to your guns

One of the things I've learned in the trenches over the last 2 years is that dead lifting cannot be truly appreciated or even properly understood until you have done it for your self and worked up to your current potential with this lift. That said, I'm hear to tell any readers that this here is some heavy stuff. Very respectable. My max is somewhere in the middle of your step ups big Jim.

- what good is it to move weight if I can't move
- conditioning for when meet time comes around, and for traning purposes
- to eat more food
We shall see how this goes, Juggernaut is coming back this week so its time to push the pedal to the metal

flipped a few pages back and realized you are still moving some heavy ass shit!
Well I am starting up cardio again for a couple of reasons:
- what good is it to move weight if I can't move
- conditioning for when meet time comes around, and for traning purposes
- to eat more food

Worked on my form tonight with the squats, been having the knees cave in a tad so the focus was form. The weight can wait, with good form comes heavy weight and starting to find that groove again. I've gotta start getting my hips into the squat faster with more emphasis on popping them for speed. All and all a decent day, went out and tried to give it my best today for those who can't and for those Veterans out there who know what the term sacrifice means, who bust their ass keeping the America a free democracy, and for those who gave it all. For these men/women are far greater people than I could ever be and thats the truth. For that I am forever in their debt for what they have done for so many.

Good session tonight I can really feel a difference in my bench between when the elbows are cocked and when they are not. Big difference in speed and power so the lesson learned today was...don't flare out the fucking elbows. The DB bench at the end was to fully exhaust the muscles and force good things in there. It felt like a Buick, need to get back under the heavy weight but it was all about relearning how to squat correctly which is why I went with the box squats. Did them Westside Barbell style with the rock back to disengage the hips then explode up....gotta get that pop back in my squat. Pop = big weights which is always a good thing

Wanted to see where I was with the close grip after about 9 weeks of percentage training. The weight felt nice and the problem with the 405 is that when I kicked the leg drive in the bar traveled off its path and went over the noodle....not good. Need to control that and use it towards my advantage. It was managable but still need to focus on the little things to get the big things accomplished.

Wanted to see where I was with the close grip after about 9 weeks of percentage training. The weight felt nice and the problem with the 405 is that when I kicked the leg drive in the bar traveled off its path and went over the noodle....not good. Need to control that and use it towards my advantage. It was managable but still need to focus on the little things to get the big things accomplished.
Having gotten your ass kicked or not, that's some solid work. Great stuff to see!

Good session tonight, worked on a good amount of form tonight with leading my lift with the head. Lots of speed coming off the ground tonight which was good and will eventully lead to a big lift....looking at something around February gotta stay consistant to make it happen

Well the speed of sound tour for me has finally come to an end. 3 states in 3 days, glad to be done and its all good. Didn't train much and body is feeling beat up and since I didn't eat that much feeling smaller than normal but I'll get back into it.

Smith Incline - 1x10, 1x8, 1x8(rested for 5 count then 1x5), 1x9(rested for 5 count then 1x6)
Smith Bench - 4x5
Decline - 2x20
Had to get in and out, gym was closing at 1230 so couldnt waste time. Those sets were I rested for a 5 count then went back into it with the same weight were a ball buster. Kinda go the idea from Trevor Smith's training style so figured why not try it

Don't know if you really are doing the diet thing or not (the sarcasm level with you tends to be a bit high, LOL) but I know when I made the jump I just went in all the way focused on physique and did my best to maintain the strength. Just had to approach training, mentally, in a different way. It'll come, but look at it like this, if you drop 30lbs and maintain within 5% or so of your current strength levels, you actually got stronger. In fact if they drop a little more than 5% you still got stronger and your coefficient got better.
Good stuff man, eyes on the prize big man.

Foam rolling your hammys will do wonders,shit and every other body part as well..
I know how you feel about the tight hammys, that is the reason i love the SLDL, it gives an awesome stretch, while working the muscle.... it is the best way for me to really destroy my hamstrings for the next few days.

A little update here, had a minor setback but its nothing major. Have to lay off the heavy weights for a while and go light. Is it ideal, fuck no....is it what I want to do, nope but you know what I've gotta do it. Going to take things nice and slow starting out of the gate, no weights this week just cardio. Followed by a more traditional BB style split to test everything out then back into pounding the weights again

Been doing the cardio for the past week to get some endorphin release and I think I lost a couple of ounces in the process. The bodyweight is hovering around the 250 mark so we shall see what the next month or two has in store. Going to start getting back into the weights this week, nothing crazy just going in to get things going and get sore.
We shall see how it goes....remember it's all about HEART

Been doing the cardio for the past week to get some endorphin release and I think I lost a couple of ounces in the process. The bodyweight is hovering around the 250 mark so we shall see what the next month or two has in store. thanks bro, I've used it in the past and I liked the way it worked. Well yesterday I didn't eat anything and needed cals for the workout so I had me some Torrent. I'll go through phases where I'll have Torrent Pre and Post Workout, or I'll have it Pre, Intra, and Postworkout or postworkout only....I mix things up to keep it all guessing and keep me growing.

Leg Ext. - 1x12, 1x10, 1x10+4 drop 1x10+2 drop 1x10+2 (repeated this for three sets increasing the weight each set)
Squats - barx12, 135x10, 225x8, 315x5, 315x5 (each rep held for a one count in the hole)
Hamtractor - 4x10
Preworkout - Pump, ALA, Vanadyl Sulfate, NSC
Intra - 100g Carbs, 40g Whey
Post - food
Did the leg extensions in a Beyond Faliure Training style to give it a shot....was a good one and looking forward to it again. Was done in 45minutes and was moving at a nice clip

yeah is a nice quality overlook supp that helps with the pump. I find the more sugar and simple carbs i take in around my workout make it work even more. I only take it on training days so gotta make the most of it

First time flat benching in about a month so the pre-exhaust really let me know what my strength levels are now. I am kinda liking this BFT principle that is thrown in, getting the sessions done in about 45 minutes so its helping. But February can't come soon enough

thanks bro, yup the VS is vanadyl sulfate. I've taken it before back in 2008 in a meet prep phase, I like the way it works and will sometimes take it during the day (as I sometimes do with other NO boosting products or vasodiolators). My theroy is that why not have all the pipes wide open when your resting and eating, it can get those nutrients there

That was it, pumped as all hell today and wanted to flush some things out. The side raises were a bitch and a half but needed to get done. Been doing some cardio as of late and feeling good nice and refreshed. Going to attempt to do some light deads, need to see how they will feel. Found out when squatting that the hamstring/ass tie in is tight point on my legs

So you have heard me talk about this injury of mine and I figured it was time to come clean about it. About a month ago, was doing some demo on a bathroom when I caught the forearm on a jagged edge of a tile, low and behold 32 stiches later on my right forearm here I am. It's a nasty ass scar but I am lucky as fuck that it wasn't worse. This is why I have been taking it easy with the weights and having these high rep days. There are still some spots near my wrist that are giving me trouble but no worries, I will return to my old form soon enough.
It is allowing me to hit my legs more and focus a good amount of attention to my squat workouts. With the upper body work, doing some hypertrophy stuff to maintain and build upon what I have. As many of you know I do not make excuses for shit, just find another way to get in what I can. Who knows, maybe I'll finally get those legs I've always wanted and get my squat into the 650+ range
