Hey i am 18 and from now on im gonna start logging everthing down to keep myself on track. I was once the average fat kid. About 3 years ago i was that 15stone kid who was embarrased to be who he was. So i went on the diet. The diet which had me eating very little each day at 30% bodyfat. After 6 long months the weight was down to 10stone but still unhappy with my physique and the excess skin to go with it.I want happy with what i was and that was that.
At this point i got my act together and found this great sport. The sport that gave me the motivation to lift the weights in the gym.So for the next 3 months i kept my weight the same and did a bit of rsearch into the sport, the lifestyle, the diet, the training etc. 2 years on and here i am at 10stone 7 on my third bulk at 10% bf. Ive got my diet sorted consuming about 2900 calories a day when training and about 2450 when not.
My friends think its a bit sad that i say no to junk foods and when i say i need to eat after only eating about 2 hours ago, they look at me as though im a freak. But hey what the hell, its my life, its my choice, and if thats what it takes to get ready to compete next year or the year after that, then hey thats what im gonna do. Im not gonna let anyone tell me i cant do it because i can and when i see the other things that you guys have achieved, it makes me strive to get there too. I wanna join you guys in this lifestyle and am prepared to do whatever it takes. So this is a place where i will gather my thoughts from time to time so feel free to drop in.
Date 3rd february- 151lbs

ok so it has been a while but keeping myself motivated. My diet has been strict and the bulk is going well. My girlfriend doesnt really understand why i do it to myself but i dont really see it like that as ii enjoy the lifestyle, the eating, the training, etc. Anyway so my lifts seem to be going up and upped the deadlift to 110kg for 4 reps.
Feeling quite good about everything at the moment but im struggling to get my ass in gear and preparing food for college the next day. I mean what is the harm in me having a sip or 2 of a shake, without the teacher having a go at me and me having to explain to them why i do what i do.
Anywhay guys we have to do what we have to do so f*ck it, ill have the shake in class and accept the consequences later if need be.
Hope everyone is keepin good and thanks for dropping buy.

We have so much in common, its almost disgusting. Way to go brother, your progress if phenominal. It takes real dedication to cut and dry train and lose all the weight you did. Kudo's for having the balls to stick with it.

Today, everything seems good. Its wednesday and my rest day, so that means im letting my body grow. The pump i got on monday was great. Did chest and biceps and did drop sets on my bi's. Felt awesome. Only just started taking my first PAK so we will see how they go but overall my diet is looking good (very clean) but sometimes i just think i need to give myself a treat meal. This isnt because i need it at all, as i would sooner have a fat steak and swwet potato and veg over a pizza anyday. Its just so that there is a shock to my metabolism.
This sport is tbh what keeps me going. Without it, i would be truly f*cked, probably getting myself in trouble. The truth is people say i never relax, but to me thats what im doing when im in the gym. Im putting my body through it all, pushing myself to failure, day in and day out, making sure i eat clean every 3 hours or so but at the same time i enjoy the pain, the pump and the lifestyle.
The fact is guys, we all share the same interest but do it for different reasons.
My reason is simply that, to keep myself sane and to achieve something out of this body i was given. If we can improve on what we got, then we should. Whats the point in settling for second best when we dont have to. Im one of the lucky ones, although most of my family dont think what i do is healthy and dont understand why i am so strict on diet, my mother really supports me and if im ever stuck with anything, she is there for me through it all.
Ive gone through endless training partners who simply dont stick at it as they dont get the 20 inch bicep or the 50 inch chest within there first 2 or 3 months. That is what i hate- ignorance and most of all impatience. Then they say to me well im not seeing the gains cos' im not taking gear. Thats bull sh*t. I dont take any personally but i no people that do and i know for a fact without the training and the correct nutrition, you may as well not take gear. Its pointless and infuriates me.
Neway guys cheers for dropping buy.
Keep sane Den

Today has been a great day brothers but whether it will last im not sure.
Well when i got to the gym today saw a regular in there and got chattin. Anyway now agreed to be training partners as we always seem to be there the same time and are of a similar strength. Now whether this will last, i dont know, but ive been through so many training partners in the past i may as well give it a shot.
Today im suprisingly hungry though and feel like i could eat a truck but ill stick to the diet nevertheless. Anyway brothers good luck.
We may take a few falls on our journeys, but we will always, always, get up of the dirt and conquer our goals

currently guys the bulk is going really well. Im soooooooooo motivated right now, as i realise that there are so many people out there who would love to do what we do but havent got the opportunity for several reasons. So this is why i feel privelaged to be apart of this sport. So whenever you dont feel like training one day cos your just too tired, just think of how many people are unable to lift weights. This is what motivates the hell out of me and makes me thik that we have it so much easier than other people.

Anyway while im here i wouldjust like to log my thoughts on todays training. I did shoulders and bi's and got a really good pump out of th ebicep when doint cable curls using drop sets. Felt real good. My food has been spot on really with this bulk and the gains are coming so im just gonna keep it up.

There will be a few pics being posted up tomorrow so feel free to comment guys. Peace

My diet has been really good and am happy with gains i am makin. The fat increase over the lower abs is setting in but it has to be done. Im thinking of lowering the carbs but this will hinder my gains and as the fat increse isnt too bad i think i will carry on with this one.
My training partner hardly ever shows up so im not gonna wait any longer for him to show his face. He seems more interested in beer than training so im not gonna let him get in my way.
All you animals motivate me so much and i want to be apart of this life. To do that sacrifices have to be made, and if it means, leaving friends behind along the way then so be it as we are only given one chance in this life. When i look in the mirror each day i see it as a new day for new gains and try to take something out of each one. You have to be totally commited to this game and i have developed a passion for this sport over the last year. I really want to come over to the states to see what it is all about as i believe it is the bodybuilding capital. I plan to come over in the summer for a couple of weeks and hope to be able to follow my diet and train over there too. It would be a great experience for me and am open to any suggestions about which part to visit. Cheers guys.

After working on my legs today, feel totally nackered. Now comes the food.
300g sweet potato with 175g chicken ahould do the trick and ill throw in a bit of veg as well.
I have found the ultimate recipe as well the animal cookie, what a creation- fantastic, make breakfast so much easier.
so im stuck with what to do now, do i cut,, or do i continue on my journey to 160. I no i need the mass if i want to compete next year but what do all you think. Is it worth cutting for this summe, then bulking again. Or should i just concentrate on gaining the mass and then just cut for the show. Im stuck in 2 minds?? So i guess i need your help brothers so throw up your thoughts. There are pics up as well if you want to take a look

got back from the gym before. It was a leg day today so im pretty tired at the moment but that is expected. i feel like im achieving and want to achieve more. Im hurgey and have got that desire that was lacking before. Thats the desire that keeps me on track, that points me in the right direction.
There are people, bigger and better than me, but why do i need to concentrate on that. All i can do is achieve MY potential, and if someone else is doing the same then fair play and i wish them all the luck in the worls. All im saying is that i need to focus more on what i could and will become. Dont get me wrong though. This is gonna take time and if im not happy with my condition, i m not gonna step on that stage. Thats why i want to succeed in this sport. Its the only sport i feel that i have enough interest in, so i am able to achieve. In truth i love it, and its beginning to be a lifestyle.
Get up, eat, college, eat, train, eat, rest, eat and sleep and thats it. As long as i do this each day i am happy and i try to take something with me each and every day so that each week, i can add a pound to the iron or the scales. Time to eat

Peace

What should we do when we feel like this??? O im too tired for the gym today so i will work my chest tomorro? Well ill tell ya, get your ass into gear, and move yourself towards the fridge. An hour later you will be in the gym, staring at the iron, using the contents of that fridge to shift the weight. Believe me there is no tomorro in this game, and we cant afoord to be lazy. Dont get me wrong, rest is key, but laziness and half hearted workout should de distinctly avoided. Give every workout your all and next time you feel like you dont want to train, ask yourself this question -
How will i ever look like the animal, if i cant be f*cked to get my ass out of bed and lift, cos i tell ya the animals arent lazy

Today i switched it up a bit and instead of doing my chest with biceps, i did triceps and i tell ya it felt good.
Today was my first day using my NO XPLODE so we will see how that goes and i will keep it noted in the journey.
If your with me on the journey, i thank you and feel free to post up your thoughts

Today i trained my back with my biceps and it really worked out well for me.
105kg x 6 reps
really feeling it in my lower back now and my lats are sore from pulldowns.

Today i got up as usual ate my eggs and oatmeal,, did chores and was focused when it came to lifting. I am eager to get back in there tomorrow but i no tomorow is supposed to be for rest. I suppose i should give the body the break it needs but i love the feeling of the iron right now. It helps me stay on track and the iron is what really keeps me focused

time to crank it all up brothers, i mean the diet, the training and the rest. I feel that all 3 can be improved so thats what is going to happen. Its time for a fuckin change. My body is getting used to the same old food day in day out, so why not have red meat in 1 meal each day instead of twice a week. I will see how my bodyresponds to this and see how it goes. As far as the training is concerned, im going to give the Mike Mentzer training principles a try for the next 4 weeks and again see how the body responds.
Good luck brothers and feel free to comment

I'm going to comment on your pictures, because I have to work on this too. Maybe...the next time you do chest, go old school man, throw in the bench and do some incline, to develop yourself a good upper pec. Nothing like a huge chest shelf. :]

well this is it. weighed in yesterday at 10stone 13 so thats a 13lb increase in 3 and a half months. Quite happy but there is room for more gains. I want to be the best I can be and dont aim to outdo ANYONE ELSE. If someone comes in in better shape than me with more mass, then fair play to them and good luck. I will thrive on it and come back bigger and stronger the next time. Lets not forget that we can learn a lot fromn this sport and as i long as i concentrate on the way i look and what works best for me, i dont see why i cant succeed. But i am determined and i wont let anyone tell me that i cant do it because negativity simply means doubt, and if you doubt yourself then thats it.

Just to let you all know what is happening now.
My bodyweight is currently 10stone 11 and feel that i need to cut for an unexpected holiday at the start of June. According to my calipers i am only at 9.8 % bodyfat but i feel i am more than that as only 4 abs are visible at the moment.
So i have worked it out that i have 10 and a half weeks to cut the bodyfat. I know this is not ideal but i have only just found out about the holiday.
Basically ive got to try and adjust my diet so that i can keep as much muscle as possible whilst losing the excess fat.
My current routine allows me to be up early enough for morning cardio, which i feel is needed

When i get back from college today i am going to try and structure a diet which will enable me to do this.

I am currently on an intake of 2900 calories each day with with 290g of protein, 140g carbs and 75g of fat so if you have any tips that could help me to structure this diet i would be entirely grateful.
