Constantly monitoring food intake and weight, once it stablises the calories increase for bulking.

Eat clean for 5 days then add in some junk at weekends, I mean a meal on top of what you eat normally, so eat clean all day but add a pizza in with a meal.

yea if your gonna take that aproach obviously youv gotta eat healthy haha, i just maintained 4 principles;
1. 4000caloires per day
2. clean calories
3. eat even if im not hungry
4. dont forget carbs (thats my vice, i dont think it counts for everyone else hah)

I know this thread is about successful things, but I can state that this approach was really a disaster to me... again, it might work for some - as Toni says it, different strokes for different folks

the more i learn about dieting the less i'm sure of. but i gotta say...eating the clean calories and then gradually pushing the total calories up really helped me gain in mass without getting fat....that and eating on an exact schedule even when i wasn't hungry. as for cutting just got more strict about carbs after 3pm and well paced cardio like religion

Carb cycling, more specifically low carbs all week with a carb up day at the end works great for me. I usually never drop below 150g of carbs per day, at any given time of year.

I think i read this on here somewhere. Adding hard boiled eggs to every meal really helped me. Starting out with one per meal to three really helps the protein intake.

When you cut Keto is really the way to go...Cause i'm sure as we all know by now that only 2 things absolutely necessary for your body to EAA, and EFA, You don't have to eat another carb for the rest of your life and you would be fine....

Mass Diet a 2: 1: 1: ratio
Every two grams or protein takin in go with 1 gram on carbs and one gram of fat...

I got 300g protein, 150g carbs, 150g fats

ive cut easiest eating (4 meals a day) chicken breast with a 12oz serving of broccoli or brussell sprouts. 1 can of tuna with 1/3 cup low fat small curd cottage cheese. then on weekends eatin a meal at panda express (steamed vegggies no rice, orange chicken and mandarin chicken (no sauce)
2-3 shakes a day, ultra whey pro, 2 scopps mixed with water.
occasionally i eat a bowl of kashi granola mix, mixed with 1 scoop protein powder and 3-4 spoonfuls of sugar free yogurt.

My most successful bulk up was doing the squats and milk method. Which is where you drink a gallon of milk a day (which gives you over 2k calories and well over a 100 grams of protein) and do a heavy squat program, typically a death set of 20 reps 3 times a week along with a few of mass building exercises bench press, rows, etc. My best cut was just lowering my carbs. Sucked bad eating little to no carbs but hey I had abs when it was all said and done ;)

huh? those ratios are not even based on calories, but on grams... actually on your mass gaining phase you're getting mostly fats - and very little carbs for a bulk

I found this to work well for me too. In the week I split the bulk of my carbs between breakfast and P/W, the rest of the meals were high fat and protein. Weekends are a ''free for all''

I am carb sensitive...pasta and rice balloon me up...I have to keep carbs clean: fresh veggies and a little fruit...no fruit juice. I cut best using Atkins and after that adjust to a maintenance level of carbs from the "good sources". When I bulk I just increase the fat and carb ratio...

I'll have one carb up day per week, at the end of the week. On that day it will be around 400-500g of carbs.

Not quite, the carbs should still be mainly nutritious ones on your carb up day. I get most of mine from oats and grits.

For gaining.
Calories from clean nutrient dense foods, 2 real gains shakes a day on top of 5 solid meals. Either pizza, burger, or taco bell daily to help get in calories as one cheat meal per day. This in conjunction with very very heavy training and 15 mins of cardio every day and I went from 198 to 212 in 2 months.

For cutting.
A lot of stimulants like cuts 2 times a day. Lots more water almost 2 gallons a day.
Still ate the same as gaining but I subbed out food for cleaner alternatives.
Like for breakfast I'd have 6 whites and oats instead of 6 eggs and whole grain pancakes. For my shakes I substituted real gains for ISO whey. Lots of fiberous veggies and fruits. I'd never recomend cutting out carbs to induse ketosis unless you are a competitive body builder because it kills your strength levels completely which many strength sports guys don't figure out until its too late.

I feel one would make greatest gains on high protein, high carbs, low fat, and a gallon of milk per day to top it all off.

If you could achieve that, then you're set.

Amen brother. Nutrient dense calories and compound movements are the way to go if you want to grow.
