Greetings to all ...... I'm a first-timer here, figuring this is the very place where the real advice lies ..... I hope I don't come off like a fool .... I'm here because I figured the advice would be real ..... and most importantly, accurate ....

I'm 44, 6-3, 218 ....and ready to take the next step and truly add some mass ..... Have always gone after a more "Body For Life" approach to my workouts .... I'm tired of it ......... Now, it's time to take the big step forward .... I've got my splits down ......... My supplementation, I believe is too much to a point of confusion of what to take first and make sure one doesn't affect the other ...... Here is where I'm at ........ Note that I go to the gym at 4 a.m. due to work commitments and long commute ...

Pre-workout

BCAA2000 (My first attempt with BCAAs - will jump to Animal Nitro once this bottle is done) .... Wait 15-30 min.

Animal Pump

N 1 - T

Optimum Whey Shake upon entering the gym

Post-workout

Optimum whey shake (with glutamine added) ... (Wait 15 min. then ....)

BCAA2000

**Is there a need for a post-workout creatine? FAQs on Pump page say No ... I have been using CellMass .... with a desire to use Storm ..... Is this necessary?**

After evening meal

Animal Pak
N 1-T

I will be adding Real Gains to my protein supplementation ....

It just appears to me I have far too much shit here ..... Any thoughts, suggestions ....???? I would be deeply appreciative ...... Given the age and when I workout .... It does become taxing .......

Once again, thanks in advance ...

I think you should take animal pak either the meal before you lift or first thing in the morning. Taking the pak after lifting is probably not the best time to take it. Also, definitely look into real gains. I've bought 4 more buckets cuz it works so well and it's got casein protein with flax oil. I've gradually gained 5 lbs of solid muslce over the past few months

I agree with Napalm on the pak. I'm 38 and just started getting into this. I also take pump and stak2 before I workout. I also have a shake before working out and usually in the evening. I'm starting out simple with my staks and seeing what gives me the best results. This forum has a ton of useful information on it. I would figure out your goal and then create the stak that will fit the bill along with the proper nutrition. There is a thread on here about putting a stak together. I very happy with this stak I'm currently taking. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

just goes to show that its never too late to start adding some serious pounds. the more i read the older the members get. its good to see keep it up!!
the other boys are right about the pak i use it first thing but thers also a valid argument to take it before you crash at night.

pre workout all you really need is some kinda creatine and NO booster, a test booster can also help too. pre workout protein and carbs are a must too.

post workout some protein and carbs within 20 minutes and about 45 minutes later stuff your face with a meal.

godd luck man, keep us posted

I might ditch the whey protein right before working out, since it will make your liver work hard while you are blasting the weights. I would go with free form aminos pre and post workout since these do not need to be digested. Take at least 35g of dextrose with your post workout carb/amino mix, then take a protein/carb shake 30-45 min after taking the carb/amino mix. The pak will help a lot, so take it with your first meal.
