I'll have to try this. I think its the same as the BB but more in front of you. Have you tried behind the back? Say on a smith, that way you can pull your ass out of the way as you come up. I do these and DB's.

I have found that even in a smith, for behind the back shrugs my ass still gets in the way....all thanks to squatting, wouldnt have it any other way

I have. Many months ago, I used the EZ Bar for several lifts, including shrugs and high pulls. As I recall, it worked pretty well. I should start doing that again!

I have the same problem. I had a squatters ass before i ever did a squat. But, I think free bar behind the back shrugs are the best way to avoid the ass. If nothing else, you can just move the bar around your ass.

Try some heavy dls, rack pulls, bb rows, tbar rows etc, keep progressing with the weight and your traps will start growing fro those heavy pulls.

lol me neither!

ever try deadlifts?????

those are the best trap blasters imo. If you use the correct form on cleans or snatches by explosively shrugging your traps instead of just curling the weight up it your traps will grow!
