Hey. I just bought some l glutamine powder and i know your supposed to drink it postworkout. the thing is it tastes nasty and i dont have time to drink it...wait 30 minutes..and drink my whey. so would it be totally stupid to just mix the glutamine in with my whey? or would that make the glutamine unabsorbable?

It works best when you take it with just juice, but im sure it would work fine with your protein shake. It might taste shitty, but who cares.

Actually I find Glutamine doesn't taste all that bad, even mixed in water. Pure CEE. Now THAT really tastes like shit. Anyways, I always mix up my glutamine in my PWO shake too.

You get used to Glutamine, it's creatine mono that gagged me. I just spooned it into my mouth and chased with water. It's amazing what you can get used to.

I am glad to see a post like this. I recently bought some Glutamine. Bodytech brand which vitamin shoppe. I have put it in my protein shake after a workout. I am wondering really how effective it is in recovery. Personally I havent seen a Difference in my system from when I didnt take it.
WhenI say a difference I mean whatever soreness I might have still takes the same time to go away as it didnt without the glutamine. So I wondered if this means to not pay attention to what I am feeling in my system and just know that it is working within or what? I was going to buy a bigger container of it from Vitamin World but I thought, if it doesnt seem to do anything why would I bother to do that?

I have wondered if I just waste my money in buying the stuff.
