I pinched the nerve on my right shoulder a good few years ago from rushing weight jumps with upright rows (I was new to it and felt like atrain - also new to lifting lifestyle). It still flares up often with anything affiliated with my shoulder.

Has anyone else pinched a nerve from lifting? If so, any special remedy to deal with it?

pinched nerves can be a bummer. if it happened a few years ago there may be something else going on so go see a chiropractor and an mri may be necessary to make sure there is no permanent damage. massage therapy can help tremendously as well as chiropractic treatments. When my back starts pinching i get my girl to grab the muscle and squeeze as hard as she can and hold (yes it hurts) It will relax the spasm and then i'll throw some ice at it.

I agree with MC-Hitman, if it happend a year ago and is still bothering you it might something alil more then a pinched nerve. Make sure to stretch out your back. The more expsensive remedy that works for me if the pain gets really bad I go get a deep tissue massage, yea it sucks while your there, but once all those knots are out of your back it feels wonderful. just my 2 cents
