so after a great deadlift session yesterday not only is my lower back sore, it tends to no numb from the bottom of my spinal erectors about half way up my back if i sit in the same upright position for more than 20 min. this isn't the first time its happened to me either, i get it for a few days after every hard dead session. it seems like a pinched artery or blood vessel since its not just a nerve type numbness. it's exactly like when your foot falls asleep. anyone have any ideas on what it could be and how to prevent/fix it? besides not deading, since that is not an option.

Its defiantly symptoms of a pinched nerve, herniated disc or sciatica .....I'm no MD by any means, these are just a few of the conditions I'm familiar with....if it continues i would defiantly see your doc and lay off the deadlifting for now...your lower back isn't something you want to permanently fuck up just because you feel you have to deadlift...a few weeks away from it to heal properly is certainly worth it...Good luck man

Go to a doctor....we can't help you here. I would not lift anything until you see the doc

Your spinal cord is very complicated and sensitive. It's nothing to mess around with. ANY numbness in the back, neck or legs can indicate damage to the nerves. Go see a doctor, ASAP!
