yo bro ive been doing that kinda of split for weeks now i do front delts with shoulders/traps and my back is with real delts..i suggest seperating the days because i felt them back-back workouts overtrained my delts but overall as long as you hit them doesnt matter with what

I train rear delts with back because I consider them part of the overall back musculature. They come into play more on back exercises than on shoulder pressing movements and it makes sense to me to train them as part of my back. I do two exercises for them: DB bent lateral raises and seated rear delt machine (reverse flye) with an overhand grip.

When my rear delts were lagging, i did them on shoulder day and back day with enough days spaced between the two for maximal recovery.

Now i do them on whatever day i have more time on. The pair nicely on back day when i hit a lot or rows and they also pair nicely on the days i do behind the back shrugs.

I guess any day is good as long as you are smashing them up and allowing for good recovery.

As they say...do what works for you!

i do my rear delts on back and shoulder days mainly because they are lagging. But you can put it on whatever day you have the most time.

Every one here will give you one or the other response. You should just try it out for yourself and see how it goes. Good luck.

honestly i dont think it matters where you put rear delts. My front delt is more developed than my rear, so i dont train it directly anymore, except for presses, once in a while now i do train it directly only because my rear delt is almost caught up.

Sometimes, i put rear delts on my back day, and then do side delts on another day, like arm day, or my shoulder routine will be like side delts, then tris, and maybe more rear delts, so im training them twice a week. But now, im too tired after back day to put rear delts with it, so i just do it on shoulder day, and rear delts are priority number one, and side delts priority number two.

I'm in the same boat.

I train my rear delt with my back. I usually superset my first 2 back exercises with heavy rear delt work.

i have done them with both shoulders and back.seem to do the same either way.but i train back and shoulders in consecutive days so i switch it up sometimes.

Rows hit em enough on back day for me, but if not, atleast they're all warmed up/pre-exausted enough to hit again.

I do them at the end of my back workout... it works pretty well for me.
