Whats up Animals,

I have a question about "concentration" techniques? I know about the curls, but can I use this technique with other exercises such as flys and presses? I'm not sure if I should be doing this anyway or should I use cycle it in and out. I just want to "squeeze" every fiber and every inch out of my workouts. Thanks a lot. Josh

to my understanding, and i may be wrong...a concentration curl is in the contracted postion of flexion..u have the midrange moves for biceps-like a barbell curl...a stretch postion exercise-like an incline curl-and then the concentration curl

u could incorporate the postions of flexion into your workout and work the biecp from all the postions

instead of the conc curls, u could do spyder curls, or even 2 arm cable hercules curls

for chest-it would be high low cable flies or maybe some pec dec

back would be stiff arm pulldowns

legs would be leg extensions

i thought they were called concentration curls cuz the position used resembles that of 'the thinker' in the roman statue:

http://www.statue.com/the-thinker-statue.html

the connection being that when one is in that position (one elbow on the inside of the leg with the corresponding clenched fist near his head, and the opposite elbow resting on the unoccupied leg) then he appears to be in concentration... if anyones gotta a better explanation lemme know
