This is a walk down memory lane.. For those who have attended one in the past, what is, in your opinion, the single best thing about The Cage?

The chance to hear about the supps from the manufacturer and not the putz behind a register trying to sell you some other house brand. I won't go into the atmosphere/real users/forum members you run into, we all know that is incomparable to any other booth.

Yeah but is The Cage... Really a "booth"? Or is it something more?

Not sounding like a suck up, I should have said the REST of the booths... The CAGE is not a booth but a fucking gym on rubber mats in the middle of that floor that houses it's own island of ANIMALS every year.

It would be impossible to pick only one thing. An animal's life isn't complete without a trip to the cage. The one thing I'll remember most from last year...On the final day, bein inside the cage with the Lad pullin 855 and 900 from the floor. The music, the intensity...It was fuckin insane. Words cant do it justice, ya just gotta be there...

Its like you said URep, its not just another "booth". Its not littered with women in skimpy outfits giving out free samples of their blue bottled energy drink. Its not some skinny runt, who weighs 165 soaking wet, trying to push their "hottest new supplement". It's the true embodiment of spirit of bodybuilding and powerlifting. Like Juggernaut said, its a gym in the middle of the greatest convention around. While others are trying to sell sell sell, The Animal Cage focuses more on the principles of bodybuilding, the life that we all lead, the struggles that we all face. It's so much more than just a booth. My favorite part of the Cage is, well, the whole experience. From the lifts by The Lad and Mean Gene, to the speaches by Machine, Wrath, and Ox. Its an experience that I can say I will remember for the rest of my life. Ive spent the last two Arnold Classic weekends at the Cage- and only the Cage- and I can safely tell you I could sit and write out the whole weekend by memory. Thats the kind of impact it left on me. I cant tell you how amazing it is to be able to shake hands and take pictures with the guys you hope to look like one day. I have picture of myself with G Diesel, Wrath, House, Ox, and probably others also. The Cage is the real deal. No frills, no bullshit, just straight truth and hardcore living. This year was especially awesome because of the ABC that followed, and Im proud to say I had a small hand in helping set that up. I can not wait until next spring, thankfully I live in the Buckeye state, so attending the Classic is not a problem. I wish I had the funds to make it out to Vegas to experience it twice a year. But that will come soon enough.

I wasnt able to go to the last years CAGE. but from all my ANIMAL brother and sisters that have showed me pics. What I thought was awesome was all the pros mingleing around with everyone not being the stuck up hard asses like other pro's have done.

Meeting every single one of the animals, whether pro or rank beginner as we are all here for the same reason.

For me, as it was my first expo, waiting on the steps to get tickets and seeing the pro's arriving in groups of 2-3, and walking down the steps to the expo and cage. As soon as House got to the bottom and walked across the expo hall and i see his calves for the first time, wooh! That sticks in the memory...

The single best thing about the cage as a whole, is its originality.

The camaraderie.

The group of guys that represent Animal are some real down to earth guys that you can just shoot the shit wit. Being Pro or not, they are real people and not one has a "I'm too good for you ego". All solid guys and girls.

How long do you fellas stay in The Cage each day? A while? Maybe there should be a separate section just for members of the Legion?

I spent about 6-7 hours a day there, minus food and bathroom breaks.

Was around for the events and seminars, then would wander around the expo, grab some food and usually be back within the hour, depending on what was going on.

The thing that comes to my mind first is from last year's Cage when Lad was about to set a PR on the deadlift. Right before the lift he takes a big whiff of the smelling salts/ammonia and then both Machine and Sgt. Rock got right in Lad's face to amp him up. It was damn intense, and of course, Lad hit the big lift. It's stuck in my mind. I love that shit.

As for a separate section, I don't know about that. Being a part of the Legion myself, I'd benefit and I'm sure it'd be a great experience. But prior to the forvm, the thing that made the Cage awesome was that anybody, no matter how big or small could walk in the Cage and interact with the pros. You didn't need a VIP pass or need to be a fellow competitor. That was part of what made the Cage so cool.

The fans...the fans.....the fans......my fellow pros that I only get to see once a year, and the honor of opening up the flood gates, to set the tone for the entire weekend, to be blessed to deadlift on friday.
