I ought to try this bro... while I'm on keto maybe I'll have to try them without milk (or just add a tiny splash)... my next meal is only egg whites but I will try it anyway... I'll let you know

tried them bro... it was pretty good... added a bit of splenda as well to give it that sweet taste

it might have been even better if I would have had whole eggs, I only had egg whites

Try your eggs with butter. It really adds another flavor. If butter is a real concern, don't make a habit out of it though.

OP. It sounded weird at first, but then I thought about it. Eggs for desert. But lots of good little treats and deserts are egg based. Your recipe kind of brings Creme Brulee to mind.

I don't want to start a new thread about eggs cuz you know how the watchmen get...

I've been doing this lately to make my eggs taste really good. Opt for a small saucepan (I use a 1.5 quart one) over a skillet. The saucepan is going to keep the eggs from flying out b/c you are going to do a lot of mixing. So, to get a really fluffy, moist flavor to your scrambled eggs:

First, add butter. 1/2 tbsp is fine. Pam and olive oil don't bring the same flavor. Olive oil is still good though.
Then, add your eggs. Do not whisk them until you add them to the saucepan.
Here's what's different, continuously mix them. I use a small rubber spatula. Also, take them on and off the heat like every 10 seconds. 10 seconds on. 10 seconds off.
Add salt, pepper, chives, whatever, when it has almost finished. When it just a creamy, fluffy custard.
DONE

Once in a while I forget my post workout shake…I’ll hit up the grocery store real quick and get a carton of those egg beaters egg whites and a little carton of milk to wash it down. It’s not as bad as you would think, and easy to slug on while you’re driving home.

It all sounds damn good. For the milk in receipes, anyone try using soy milk? I've been hooked on soy stuff since I went through a vegetarian stage (wife was pregnant, found myself having a hard time eating my fav chicken....) The soy burgers are loaded with protein and the milk ain't half bad either (without the sugars).

I'll give it a try and get back on the results if no one has.

Today I made eggs but this time I threw in onions, tomatoes, greens, eggs, hot sauce, and teriyaki. It ended up tasting really good.

hey what exactly is a vanilla packet?

Yea i'd like to know too. Is it vanilla extract? Gonna try this soon. Sounds like it can be mixed into my oatmeal.

try making poached eggs.
Take a saucepan (3 quarts or so), bring it to a boil with some vinegar (to keep the eggs white). When it is at a boil, stir the water to create a small vortex. Then drop the egg in the center of it. The whirl of the water will make the white wrap up around the egg. Cook for about two minutes. Remove in place in ice water or eat immediately. The yolk should be runny and the white should be firm if you did it right.

If you want to get fancy, serve over an english muffin with ham and hollandaise sauce (for the true animal chefs)
