I am 21 years and have been working out for a little over 5 years now. Recently I started to get serious with cutting so Ive been adding tons of cardio to my work outs. Endurance has been a key focus and 2 weeks ago I did my 1st 15k.
Now...I quit smoking weed over 5 months ago. I was never really a big smoker but sometimes when I did it I can feel those cardiovascular effects when I worked out. This week an old friend came home and I just got peer pressured into smoking 3 times in one week. The 1st time I was like this is just a spontaneous thing, but now last night it was the 3rd time. I am on a horrible guilt trip. Will this hurt my endurance at all? any words of encouragement? This was something that I vowed never to do again.

What's done is done bro. You got to move on and get over it. I highly recommend you don't turn back to it as it will only be counterproductive to your gains and health. This friend you speak of too, isn't much of a friend if he was pressuring you into doing such a thing. If you want to quit man all you have to do is make up your mind. I was a hardcore pot smoker in my teenage years and I've now been sober for 5 years and 3 months.

Thanks man, your right...I just need to move on.
Heres the dirt behind this whole situation. Friend 'A' and I got into a fight before I quit smoking. He was one of my best friends but now its never been the same. Friend 'B' is now stuck in the middle between us and they both have been hanging out more often and smoking more often (obviously since I quit). Recently I wanted to rekindle my friendship with them because I have been feeling left out so whenever I would hang out they would always want to smoke. So to feel fit in i would just go along with the idea. Because sadly smoking is the only thing these two do. Its sad that I put myself down to their level

not to sound like a parent bro. we are all adults here. but would u jump off a bridge if your friends pressured you too. sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture and think about your goals that u want. smoking or drinking IMO are way counter productive to my lifestyle and probably to most lifters. i to get pressured all the time when i go out with my buddies. They love to drink but i just choose not to. some may say well one beer its not going to hurt. and they are probably right. but i just choose not to put anything in my body unless it will help growth, recoverey, or promote lean mass. but again thats just me. but now that the damage was done dont think about it bro. just set ur mind on the one way tracks of ur goals and focus and hit it hard.

Bro smoking buddies are just smoking buddies. Typical pot smokers do nothing but sit around and smoke pot. It would almost be impossible for them to relate to you and what you're trying to do here. They probably just want to get high all day and that's not you anymore. You want to tear shit up in the gym, look good, and improve your health. When you put it in perspective obviously you're doing the right thing. I wouldn't worry about those guys, if they can't respect you and what you're doing fuck em. If they aren't your friends without you smoking the weed then they weren't real friends to begin with.

8) Off Topics & Off Limits...
We all come from different backgrounds. From all walks of life… Race, creed, color, nationality, economic background. What brings us together is our love of the lifestyle and the fact that we all have committed our lives, in varying degrees, to the call of iron. This is a place to unify, to come together, to learn and to grow as a community. There are divisive issues in this world, no doubt about that, and many of us have very strong opinions. But those opinions have no place here and very little relevance. We here at Animalpak.com believe that it is good to feel strongly about these type of issues... However, matters of religion, politics, discussions about sex or lifestyles, and talk of drugs are officially off limits.
Have had threads about this in the past and they cause more harm than anything.
