View Full Version : Oatmeal bars?
Anyone ever heard of or know a recipe in which to make plain old oats into bars? I ask this cause my first breakfast is gonna have to be downed as I enter work and it sucks eating oatmeal on the go in a bowl and with a spoon. I ain't much of a cook either so I can't figure out exactly how to do this except to maybe drop clumps of cooked oatmeal on a platter and toss it in the oven, good idea?

i'm sure you'll find a bunch of recipes using a Google search.
also, i've just thrown raw oats into my protein shake in the morning and slugged it down...
it's not as bad as it sounds, actually.
Melt some PB and pack as many oats as you can into it before baking with egg white at roughly 375 degrees F. It takes a bit to get the ratios right, but once you get the hang of it it's easier.

I did just that, searched the net, but I came up with real 'un-clean' recipes where they told me to add in a cup of sugar and other stuff I want to avoid.
