No power rack?
Do they have a squat rack that you know of? If you dont know for certain, i'd call someone and get a definitive answer. You absolutely need a power rack, a squat rack will do fine for many exercises.
First figure that out, and then go from there.

Keep in mind that 24hr and anytime fitness are 2 different gyms. I've visited an anytime fitness once and was not impressed at all. They didn't have jack shit for weights. Their dumbells didn't go heavier than 50 lbs. and there were no freeweight benches or power racks. I wouldn't recommend this gym to anyone and would certainly never pay 47.00 a month to work out there. Not for anyone that is serious about this sport.

how so?
There are a chain of gyms known as 24 hour fitness (also known as OZ Fitness). They are generally larger gyms and usually have a fair amount of both machines and free weights.
There is also a chain of gyms known as Anytime Fitness. They are generally much smaller and do not have near as much equipment available. Severely lacking in the free weight department.
The only thing that these two chains have in common is that they are open 24 hours a day.

the gy, is called anytime fitness
I say go to Strong and Shapely. lol
I'll just say this. I stayed at my old gym because it was a 2-3min. drive from my house, very convenient. The gym didn't have a whole lot to work with (it did have a power rack though). I bitched and bitched for months and months. Finally I say fuck it and joined a Golds that's about a 25min. drive. I'm still kicking myself for not doing it sooner. Best move I ever made.

Anytime Fitness is the gym I referred to in post # 5. I wouldn't recomend it, but if it meets your needs then go for it.

if it just opened go down there and look around and see what they got. We can't make that judgement call for you since we cant see what the actual gym has, not what they have on their website. Go there and look at it, if it looks good then go for it, if it doesnt then fuck it
a 2 minute drive to where you can't accomplish what you need to is worthless. Thats like a girl who is easy to get into bed, but has no puss

HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! Very poetic.
All kidding aside, he's right. Would you rather have the convenience of a place thats nearby? Or the necessity of the equipment you need? Its that simple.

Lol I wouldn't even be able to do my routine withouta power rack or squat rack! What kind of gym doesn't have the most important piece of equipment there is?! Bro get a refund asap! $47 is way too much and you've got to squat with free weights! A smith machine will not cut it! Read this:http://stronglifts.com/why-you-should-always-squat-with-free-weights/
