Then it was a done day.
And it was a blast. The first night i bought all the stuff i wanted and went from 220-81 bucks over the day. I went from 80 to 50 to buy me and my dad gym passes to lift at the worlds gym with the Animals friday night. The Saturday show though, that was a mad house, so many people crammed into such a small space, it took a hlaf hour at one point to just get from the martial arts section to the Cage. I found a strong man booth, where i picked up a 200lbs atlas stone all the way to a standing postion, and did a over head press with a 85lbs fat bell for a towel. The handle on the DB was the size of my forearm, just huge! I got a special Jersey they were selling at the cage, and got every sig on it but the House on it, and G Diesels, but i had him sign my hat just cause i will wear the hat more often, i wear a hat everyday. The big group picture with the Animal team at Worlds on Saturday night was just funny, a couple of them might have some funny hands in them. My dad and I both got interviewed by MD and should be showed on their website or mag in the next couple of months, which is cool as hell!
Chest back home. I have now started a lot more preexausting before getting the heavy compound movements, something Machine talked about in his speech. Weights dropped a bit but is to be expected.

Yea, I plan on doing leg extensions and leg press high feet before i hit squats this week. Maybe some leg curls too. I figure if i can still hit 315 after all that i should be doing pretty good.

Back. Something i left the cage with was a deep rooted thought i heard from machine. He splits his back routine into two different routines for every other week. One week thickness, one week width. Well i decided to try it for a cycle to see how i like it. I already love it. The rows were almost none stop, and only one width movement, but my lower back got fried. Next week is width.

They were a bitch to get into place thats for damn sure. I managed to do a clean and press at teh arnold with a fat handled 95lbs, so i had to try it back home. It wasn't easy thats for sure.

Good stuff M. Was great to get a quick intro with you and your pops in Metro Fitness last saturday. Your a big guy at 18, got the whole world in front of you and kick ass support in your dad, who more than holds his own. Great team!
I come from a family of fitness buffs. My mom in her teens and twentys used a bandana as a belt. My dad is a big push though, he always makes sure that i get that last few reps by poking a bit of fun at me.

Personal best on CGB is 225x6, buy that was when arms got their own day, after al lthe other pressing, i was happy enough hitting 185x6, i just dropped weight cause i couldnt get a strong enough contraction in the muscle with 185.

What are 'Crossover Body Pressdowns?'
Grab the ball of the cable cross over with your right hand, and the cable should scrape your left shoulder and your hand should end by your right hip. Just gives a better stretch i think. Lol, that that was the longest chest session i had done in a while. Gotta hit high reps, low reps, deep and right on top.
Ow, my legs are still kinda tender, and my chest feels like repeated stabbing sensations. Gotta love days like this. Peace out ya'll, i got back later.

Prolly gonna have to drive my grandmas old car for awhile now, until i can raise enough cash to get a new used car.

Oklahoma was like 72 and me and my dad went hiking as well. Found a old indian burial site. Its a bad idea to go hiking in a tank top when you know you burn like a pizza.

All we found was a deer shed and a bunch of carcasses..... Ewwwwwwwww.....
The graves at this place where really kool, they had these wooden lil houses built over them, and a couple of stones from the 1890-1920 had these pictures actually embedded in the head stone, and these photos were so good we thought they had to have been added recently, but nope, from the day the person died. Found one of my relative in the place (I am actually a bit indian mix too) who died 4 days after birth.

Hahaha yeah, the kids at school have seen my gains so I'm always getting asked before track "well I did this yesterday, what should I do today" or "what supplements should I take or what should I eat." It's all good though, lending a hand can always spark some new interest.

My left shoulder got tweaked on my heaviest set of db presses, because as i was kicking the DB up, my hand started to roll back to my body with 95 extra lbs in it, and lifted my elbow up. Well, i had considered moving my routine around to be able to do legs on tuesday to make myself feel better, but my dad talked me out of it. Messed up one leg day, but still have sore legs, so no reason to beat a dead horse. Am still gonna have to move the routine a bit do to the fact on Saturday am doin chest for the STL ABC so gonna do shoulders with light chest work and heavy triceps on monday.
Still will be pissed about the leg day on friday when i do legs next time, so am not gonna do preexaust, just gonna do squats and leg presses. Am shooting for 405 for atleast 4 on squats, and aiming for 12pps on leg press for 8.

Take a bench that has variations of inclines, and set it to about ohh, say, 120 degree incline, lift the seat, and sit in the lil nook it makes. You should be at a decent lean, and the DB should kinda be restin on the side of your butt. Try and do a standard side lateral, but since you are at a incline, and seated, cheating is impossible.
I really wish i could show you, but i dont have a means to record it up to anything. Just go to walmart or Barnes and Noble and pick up the MD with the Black an White photo on the cover, and flip through it, they will have a good pic of it. Or Google image Arnold doing side raises.

Sick leg day bro. Those squats are legit as hell bro especially after that leg press beating. Which leg press were you using that hurts your knees? My gym has something called a Cybex squat press and I've had fairly moderate osgoodschlatters since I was 13 and it's heaven on my knees. CT's having an ABC as well tomorrow so I know you'll be killing it down in the dirty dirty.
Nautilus xplode incline leg press. The face plate moves when doing the press, and you can't get your feet just right.

The body needs rest too bro, it might help with that shoulder issue. Personally when i take the week off, i do tons of stretchs to loosen up the muscles, posing to keep a bit of density. I also up my meals during this time to help the recovery and sleep alot more.

Also, it looks like i might have a hernia. I had a sharp pain yesterday in the crotch area, and when i poked at it, i felt like a shooter marble under the skin. I thought maybe it was a cyst, and dug my fingers in until i actually had a grip on it,and squoze. Its a good thing i have a huge pain threshold, or might have cried. This morning it seems smaller, but it still feels like a marble under the skin that hurts to the touch.

Well these past few days have been off days, just sitting a home healing and letting myself gorge on food. I mean gorging literally. Eating huge amounts of food at one go, the other day i had a pound of steak and 3 lbs of yams in one go. It was awesome. Then today had a chicken quarter and half pound of deer back strap. To make up for some of these days of sheer gorging went in today and did a half hour on the Stairmill, which sucked major ass. Getting back into it until i can get back on it for a solid hour.
Also, this week I have been doing some major life planning. I spent wednesday talking with a Marine recruiter, and that was something that i put in a file in my mind. If I need that is something i can easily do. I also have been talking with a friend who works on the Tug boats that run the Big muddy. If you dont know what that river is, you are either a northerner, californicator, or from out of country. But that job would give me abou 190 a day. But the one that is now at the fore front of my mind, process Tech for BP oil. I would have to go to college part time for about 1.5 years, but i would be living with family, and be set up with a job when i got down there. Get my degree and make 30 bucks a hour. My cousin who does that job says after 2 years all the older guys will be gone so i will be set, and he told me if i get down there he will help me with my homework and everything. I was also told if i decide to work overtime i make time an half, then if i work holidays (I will) i make 2.5 time so serious cash for a single guy.
I got a lot on my plate. I have to set all this up. If i dont make it down in texas, i can still join, and that wouldnt be a problem. Beauty of being single. But hopefully if i make enough money this next year an a half i can move down to texas and get my life started down there.

Back in the gym after a full week off. But there was a issue today, I got a wicked bad sun burn on the back of my neck and low traps, which made back squats impossible, the pressure nearly made my eyes water. So i subbed in front squats. Overall this was one of the best leg days i have had in a few months. I did a half hour of calves before the leg day ever really started.

Chest and Biceps. Triceps where still trashed from tuesday, but due to family friends coming up, we were forced to work chest today so they could hang with the parents. But tomorrow i hang with Eddie, so i got a friend of my own to hang out with. Finally got back under heavy bench. Last 13 weeks prolly, havent gone heavy on the flatty, did high reps, and then the next rotation, Incline DB press. So i was happy with the heavy for the day bench. After 8 weeks, 315 is mine. Course i also had 3 4 leaf clovers in my wallet for luck, so i better keep those handy.

Damn but i hate morning workouts. I was at the gym with no food in my stomach at 7:30 this morning. Only thing i had, Eaa stack with Glutamine, which i drank during the workout. So after being awake for about 20 minutes, the numbers sucked. Was freezing cold in the gym too so it took me awhile to warm up.

lol yea, and get my ass kicked for it. dad might be old, but still knows how to lay it down. Just to "keep the fear in me" sometimes when i am just hangin out on the couch or sleeping or something he jumps in the middle of me and starts dropping bombs. Not to hurt, just to keep me on my toes.
Not to mention i need him healthy, cant let him quit just yet, once i leave, he says he is going back down to 185, and just sticking with 225 on bench and squat and stuff. So i will go his way, let him heal up, then in a couple months, powerlifting to tear him back down.

All pretty basic stuff, nothing to fancy or out there. But, My dad and I have been talking about switching over to a bit of a powerlifting cycle, keeping the reps low, and weights high. But, i still threw in a few Bodybuilding moves to go high reps on 10-12, instead of just 3-7 reps. The 7 reps is something i got from Sgt. Rock. The Graham benching is something me and my did a couple years back, that wound up putting 75lbs on my bench. I don't think it will work that way this time, im just hoping for 30 or so. The Box squats, this is just to shut the fuck up all these kids in school who talk about box squats being just like a real squat. A lil 175er told me he squated 495x5 on it, and a buddy who i dragged through a leg day who never even managed 315 says he does 545. So, i out to be able to hit 600. Deads off the box are to help my pulling from the ground. That is my major weak spot, once i get it up a few inchs, its cake. So, once i get better at off the ground, my deads should break out of this rut. Arms, they dont really have a good way to add some strength, so i did the ole rack lockouts, and cheat curls.

both splits look good brother,id go with the powerbuilding though,imo just because i like the powerlifting style more,i do somewhat of a powerbuilding routine,anyways looks awesome

Ate all of it too. I nearly exploded after the burger, then after that made its way down the tater was a breeze.

heavy shit is always nice,but alot of reps and and sets is intense,i say do one this week and then the other next week

Alright, i figured out what i am going to TRY. 185 for 4 sets of 25. If i can manage that, i will be sore as hell, and really happy. After i manage that, i think next week might be a heavy week. If not, 225 for 10x10.

Yup, legs on monday. My dad has been rehabbing his knee, so we are doing more high volume kinda stuff. Light weight, lots of reps. Still doing everything else, just less weight. 5ppsx40 on leg press is the goal.

185x100. It took a couple sets, but i got it. First set was 25, and that will make you suck some wind. I am gonna stick with it for awhile to get to wehre i can get 100 in just 4 sets. By the way, i lost track of how many sets and reps i did,
